There have been quite a few instances of very fine margins recently that have cost us points. Offisdes by a few centimetres, debateable penalty decisions, a free kick take a fraction of a second before the whistle. These factors are all within the control of the players.
-
I would add to this that there are not enough first-time balls either. By the time the player has got the ball under control the defence is set in its positions.

I think you’ll find that it’s different people doing the criticising. It’s not a matter of what you or I might like. It’s about keeping people’s livelihoods alive.
-
I find it disappointing that Adams can’t kick with his left foot. That’s not good enough for a Premier League player.
-
I agree with you but it was even tighter than it seemed. It was shit refereeing.

Five weeks between each lockdown relaxation is ridiculous. They want that long to evaluate the effect of each one but if it turns out that there was nothing to worry about they can’t bring the next stage forward. Meanwhile businesses go to the wall.

Yes, he appeared to blow it twice. My point is that when you actually hear the first whistle it must have been blown a fraction of a second before that, depending on how far away the microphone is. In other words, a microphone a hundred yards away will give you the sound one third of a second after it happened.

There's a time and a place for it but it needs forwards who are alive to it and making the runs. Our problems all stem from not scoring enough goals (doh)
-
And don't forget that sound travels at about 1100 feet per second so the sound that you hear is after the picture. More than wrong.

Is Game preperation time contributing to our run?

Yes it has. The why us more than others? -
I thought we looked better with Redmond and Tella but Romeu going off where we lost it in the middle.
-
I forgot he was on the pitch to be honest.

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?

I’d prefer Forster in goal over Redmond -
Keeper’s ball all day long.
-
He left it for McCarthy
-
We were.
-
I didn’t hear a whistle there?
-
McCarthy asleep.
-
We’ve lost our shape without Romeu.

A runner from midfield with all the time in the world.

If the referee thinks that way then they are correct but there’s nothing about having to be a whistle. It was poor refereeing. He seems to be saying that he wasn’t ready but he ought to have been. You will se European referees waving the whistle under the attacker’s nose to make things clear.
-
Tella trips himself but after his right foot has been caught by the defender. Not clear cut.
-
And that we cannot know at this stage.
-
Very close. It takes a fraction of a second for the sound to reach the microphones.

“The referee gives a signal” It doesn’t have to be a whistle unless the referee has given explicit instructions. Some refs allow quick free kicks without a whistle.
