  1. Yes, Hoedt made a balls up but Liverpool players were swarming all around him.
  2. Didn't we win it over 40 years ago? Other fans don't care about that either.
  3. None of your taxes are propping me up, I pay enough taxes on my own and I can never retire. Besides, I paid extra for what little state pension I get whereas you lot will get it even without contributing. My father paid extra to his employer despite his kids having to go without holidays so that my mother could get a very modest increase on his pension when he died. She is now 98 and still paying taxes. Who built and paid for that motorway that you drive on? The M27 was finished in 1983 so perhaps nobody under the age of 55 should be allowed to use it? Who built the schools and paid for the teachers that supported you for the first quarter of your life? Who built the hospitals and surgeries that you now use? The previous generations built and created the present society that you now benefit from. One day, if you're lucky, you might get old. Then come back and tell me how easy it all was. I know plenty of close relatives and colleagues who didn't even make it to requirement. Ungrateful load of brats. You all think you're entitled to everything at once. Here's an idea: try working for what you want and going without if you can't afford. it
  4. The answer to all those (apart from education) is a big fat NO.
  5. If any of this is serious then I am deeply sickened by the mentality of some of you. Let’s all hope that none of you get old after a lifetime of hard work and paying taxes. Snivelling little brats.
  6. It’s a family activity. And any adult that finds the need to use profanities has not grown up yet.
  7. Unnecessary and undignified.
  8. Nothing is that guaranteed. New additions in January are rarely effective immediately and usually take a few months to settle in and become an integral part of the team.
  9. You have to draw the mark somewhere. £5m is not an insignificant amount.
  10. No, that’s the route from Saints’ dressing room to the pitch.
  11. Not the greatest defender, useless positional sense, but a useful left foot. Infuriating because I always felt that there was a decent footballer lurking in there somewhere. Sadly I was wrong.
  12. Thoughts? I think you haven’t got the slightest clue about football finances and how transfers are handled. And if you think that owning a football club is a giant money-making machine then I have some Nigerian financial bonds that you might be interested in.
  13. I think top-knots should be called bell-ends anyway.
  14. International games always used to be midweek, and I think England used to play better then. This Champions League format has a lot to answer for.
  15. We all are. It’s fundamental to being a Saints fan.
  16. Bloody stupid idea. Sit at home on January weekends staring out of the window and twiddling your thumbs. Then have games frozen off in February and March. I can't see how the TV companies could support it. If it went ahead I would cancel my subscriptions and get back to my jigsaws.
  17. No, that would be the referee.
  18. Agreed. When I was refereeing local Sunday games I had more trouble from some ex-professional than I ever did from 'normal' lads. And please don't get me started on parents. They think that abusing the ref is all part of the fun.
  19. Not really. Why concentrate on just the feet? Anyway, I prefer the way offside used to be 50 years ago. Off side and it's an offence. Plain and simple.
  20. He could have gone in the direction that he was being pulled. Suppose he had not been tugged?
  21. "Part of the body has been deemed offside" ??? Er... them's the Laws. If you don't like them then go and play something else. The referees and their assistants are schooled and drilled in every aspect of the Laws. If the supporters don't understand them then it's not the fault of the officials.
  22. It’s not just headers. Most of our shots seem to be at a catchable height too. That’s usually caused by lifting the head at the moment of striking and not focusing on the ball.
  23. Was that the average fee or the fee for an average player? These figures can get skewed by the extreme high prices for a few. Whatever, we all get skewed.
  24. Would you pay that much to buy him?
  25. Tug of war Tennis
