  1. I'd like to think that Hoedt would have done better than Yoshida against that header today.
  2. Just voted... didn't bother watching the other efforts.
  3. Well done. Alternatively you could spend it on something other than an ST, something with a better return
  4. OBE = Other Buggers' Efforts MBE = My Bloody Effort
  5. Have you sold them and crystalised your gain, or is it a paper profit?
  6. Nor can I. For me there is a whiff of tulip mania about it.
  7. A great professional and a great example to others. Congratulations from me.
  8. Up his arse?
  9. I would question your basic premise here. If we were relegated it would not be the end of the world for the club.
  10. To be honest I've felt that way about a lot of the Prenier League matches that I've seen so far. I sat through Man Utd v Spurs yesterday and nearly fell asleep.
  11. Play at a hgher tempo. Move the ball on quicker. Actually, just move quicker would be a start.
  12. For once I agreed with their analysis of us. Well coached but perhaps over-coached. Far too rigid.
  13. And Selhurst Park is 66 miles. There's only one derby that matters. I can't quite remember their name.
  14. I met someone in Costa Rica who followed Derby because of Paulo. Makes a nice changhe from Man Utd or Liver(f....g)pool.
  15. Boohoo? Did he want to sign him as well???
  16. Gabbiadini gave a recent interview where he said that we changed to a more defensive style of play later in the season.
  17. Oi! Don't forget the 68 year olds
  18. I think this must be the case.
  19. You're right. For an objective measurement of the sound levels you'd need a calibrated measurement device. But that's not the point. That racket before the match was loud, distorted and uncomfortable and did nothing to enhance the atmosphere of the game. A large part of the problem is that the PA system is not up to the job and distorts when it is overdriven. Do you really believe that a bit of loud music makes for an atmospheric event? You'll be asking for an electronic organ next like they have in American ice hockey. From your comments I would assume that you are relatively young and possibly don't have the experience of attending a passionate, exciting game of football. Unfortunately Saints' games have fallen a long way short of that in recent times. We never needed loud music at the Dell.
  20. I agree.
  21. Sound levels don't work like that.Decibels are a logarithmic measure so a loud noise of over 80dB will not be augmented by soemone shouting or a phone ringing. How many people have got to complain about the noise being unpleasant before the perpetrators need to turn it down? 80 dB is described as 'unpleasant' and 85 is a lot louder than that. Long term exposure at 85 dB will cause permanent damage. You shouldn't be so flippant in dismissing complaints about loud noise. By the time you notice that it affects you it will be too late. Anyway, what on earth is the point of a loud distorted racket drowning out all conversations for ten minutes?
  22. I have. Many times. If you keep going to gigs you will suffer hearing loss.
  23. It was far too loud, dangerously so. I had my fingers stuck in my ears for ten minutes. The problem is that the sound quality is so poor that all we get is a distorted assault on the senses.
  24. That's about right. Foster's grab was not enough to bring him down.
  25. Well well well. Or should that be good good good? :):)
