  1. To be fair second is not a bad season, it's hasn't that they haven't actually won anything.
  2. Hmm... Thanks, gents, we shall just have to wait and see.
  3. Can anybody please tell me the earliest date that our next European season might begin? There are holiday dates that some members of my family want me to fix and I would want to miss anything special.
  4. Great cross today for Pellè. Took time to pick him out and was justifiably pleased with the result. Sign him up.
  5. Either is acceptable. Well, to most people anyway. I think the potential is there for another 10,000 to 15,000 supporters but it's not my money so why should I care? There are many occasions when we are effectively full, anything over 90%.
  6. Sound advice save them up and do them on a Sunday or something. Once a week is enough for anybody.
  7. Very true. He is better suited to a team under pressure.
  8. It's an opinion about experts, and one with which I agree so that makes it 100% accurate
  9. Somehow I can't imagine anyone singing: 'One Zlatan Ibrahimovic, there's only one Zlatan...' You get the drift.
  10. But will his name fit on the back of the shirts?
  11. Oooh don't get me started. If I buy a hammer it's mine and I want to be able to bang in as many nails as I like. I don't expect to have to pay for it again in a couple of years' time.
  12. That's a good question. Immigration was consistently high before 2004 but could it be that there was a large amount or work available in Britain that was low paid and there were no Brits prepared to do it? Suddenly there was an availability of a large pool of labour willing to work for low pay doing jobs in the service industry. Whether this has been good for Britain is a different argument.
  13. I cannot see that as a long-term career.
  14. 3 days is not very long to get fit again. That's the lottery that is the playoffs.
  15. That's what caused the delayed decision but it was correct, he was miles offside.
  16. You're forgetting all the Champions League games.
  17. And the Dell was the first ground with permanent floodlighting. That's real history.
  18. Very true. And these are the very people that the dissatisfied should be holding to account for the current state of our country instead of inventing some bogeyman from Europe.
  19. We might have faced a similar situation a few seasons ago when we and Coventry had identical records near the end of the season. Thankfully it never came to this.
  20. Like everybody else I have at times been caught in the crush at the bridge but there is no room for a station north of the bridge, and that would still be the other side of the bottleneck. There could be a platform squeezed in behind the bike sheds but that would require trains to drive up the spur and then reverse back onto the main lines and then possibly change direction again, none of it ideal. I am aware that trains regularly use the docks spur for car freight and that they often stack up there for the cleaning sheds. The real answer is to improve the bridge and I did read recently that plans are underfoot to 'widen' the existing bridge route by installing a new bridge alongside the current one. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/14408397.Up_to___250m_to_help_solve_traffic_problems_in_Southampton/
  21. There's no point in a station without trains. Who would run them and where would they go?
