  1. Indeed. If he can't put in a a good cross under no pressure then what would he be like in a real game?
  2. Scouting mission? Wants the job when Ron leaves?
  3. I can only see Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar in there.
  4. I found this which may help: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016–17_UEFA_Europa_League According to this the draw dates that would affect us are either 15th July or 26th August.
  5. Ouch, thanks. Come on you Reds!
  6. I've found all the match dates here http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2017/competitionformat/ Now can somebody lease explain to me very slowly and clearly what our two potential entry stages are?
  7. I know the feeling but if Palace win there would be the consolation of West Ham not getting European football.
  8. My advice is - Be philosophical. Don't think about it.
  9. We were in Kingsland block 32 tonight and couldn't understand a word because of the echoes. Normally we're in block 31 which is only marginally better. All we could do tonight was applaud politely when everybody else did.
  10. Turbo quick.
  11. Still the case that you can't be offside from a throw in. Nor from a goal kick or from a corner kick which seems a bit pointless until you consider that you could be standing on the goal line and the ball could be a yard downfield on the edge of the quadrant.
  12. Link? and what sre you doing watching daytime television? Some of us have to work
  13. I never received any renewal packs I presume that these are for those who hadn't renewed at the time?
  14. Good question. It's going to be a bit of a rush to get there in good time.
  15. Puncheon coming along too.
  16. Unless you shove yourself? Yes - it can happen and some of them are very good at it. Forwards especially spend ages practising throwing themselves to the ground. The only clue you get is the speed and timing with which it happens. Sometimes they just seem to go down too quickly. To judge whether it's a shove you need to see the nuances of the moves, how the alleged shiver has planted his feet, how his weight changes, how the one being shoved changes body shape under the impulse, these are all difficult to determine through a television screen. I'm not saying that this definitely wasn't a foul, by the way, just that what you see on TV is not necessarily what actually happened. Anyway, back to the game
  17. I'm with you on this. Nowadays you've got half a dozen attackers wandering around the opposition area waiting for a second phase or something.
  18. You can't judge a push on TV. Maybe the defender knew that he wasn't getting there and 'pretended' to receive a push. He's a big man and seemed to fly through the air easily. As I say, you can't tell on TV.
  19. We disagree on many aspects but I'm totally with you here, Wes.
  20. Wasn't there something about his attitude in training on a Friday a couple of weeks ago and that is why he was left out for the weekend?
  21. But if the offence of offside doesn't occur until the player becomes active, could it be that this could happen after he has run back into his own half and that they are saying that this is where the free kick could be taken?
  22. True, I suppose that is possible. Possibly.
  23. Was he in the 'lap of appreciation '. I can't say that I noticed him.
