As a former full back I see horror defending every game. Of course, Martin takes most of the responsibility for that and so far I haven’t seen much improvement under Duric. Not having a settled team doesn’t help either. Every game I see players getting in each other’s way or both going for the same ball.

We now have Downes and THB on our books and a large lump of money must have gone on them.

Unfortunately they’re not good enough to keep possession either. All three goals on Saturday plus some dangerous chances came form fast incisive runs through our defence. Having more possession wouldn’t have stopped those but it would have stultified our attack.
