Out of interest, how many of those 87 goals were at St. Mary's? I missed a lot of games due to a long term domestic illness so perhaps I'm not the one to comment. The last game I attended before my enforced break was the loss to Leicester.

They are not being organised to the best of their abilities. A bad manager blames his tools, not the way he handles them. (obvious comments under here please)

This ridiculous style of play is also a large part of the problem. Get rid of that and there won’t be another 10 - 15 crap results.

Yet they beat us comfortably. They may end up being relegated but it will be with us beneath them in the table.

Just keeping him away from the team would be an improvement.

What worked (just) last season is not necessarily going to work again. The best that we could hope for would be playoffs and that is not a serious plan. There were spells where we struggled and even the all-hallowed unbeaten run didn’t yield all that many points. As the old warning goes, ‘Past performance is no guarantee of future performance’

We need to end this season with some amount of hope and positivity otherwise next season we shall hit the ground crawling.

You can be unlucky in one game, maybe two, but we have had enough of the season to know that this style of playing is not going to work in this division.

The problem is that it doesn’t suck the life out of the opposition.

It’s a sad day when we start blaming the refereeing for all our problems. And those two fouls had no bearing on Wolves’ second goal. For both their goals a player was allowed to run right through our half of the pitch without being challenged.

By the way, where is Branfoot these days?

I don’t expect results to improve immediately but I want to get rid of this bore fest that we have to sit through every fortnight. This way of playing was never going to work at this level and we all knew it. With the best players in the world it would still be boring.

All that tells me is that results don’t matter.

We did.

And failed miserably in Europe.
