  1. Terrible coverage. Replays or shots of the crowd even though the ball was in play.
  2. Is she still there??? Lying under seats 326 to 398?
  3. We're still married. I was trying to convert her and after about 15 away trips she actually began to get into watching the football. It didn't last though. At Leeds she very nearly punched a copper who was sticking a video camera up our noses, not bad for a 55-year old.
  4. True, but given all the difficulties with the ticket arrangements not a bad alternative.
  5. Please don't say that, they'll introduce it for every game.
  6. My missus used to come with me to northern games. At Elland Road she was doing a crossword.
  7. Watching a game on tv is nothing like actually being there. There's nothing wrong with sitting in the home sections, providing you are subdued. I've done it myself several times (and even sat next to Jackanory once) and after the game I've found that I was almost surrounded by Saints fans.
  8. Watching the tv it appeared to me that Adkins did not know why Fox had to come off.
  9. Top of the table at Christmas, let's move on to Boxing Day. When's Chappers back?
  10. Drivers who wear hats.
  11. I always liked Milligan. I took my first girlfriend (now my wife) to see him in 'Son of Oblomov' in 1966. She has come to appreciate his sense of humour, if not mine. We actually like Portsmouth, but we don't have to live there.
  12. I'm certainly not one to gloat over the current situation, but from today's papers: What's the capital of France? ... ... about £2.50. (kelvin.mackenzie@dailymail.co.uk)
  13. Turn the tele off and put the radio on. I can't stand tv in the mornings.
  14. I got £400 a year in 1968. On top of that I got £100 a year from Plessey. I was what they called a 'thick sandwich student'. Make of that what you will.
  15. Pap, are you the one of the left or the right? I'm confused.
  16. Freeze concentration is legal, or used to be.
  17. Yes, very poorly handled. There are some who suspect that he has been manouvered into this by Sarkozy and others.
  18. And the Romans. What did they ever do for us?
  19. Corp, what about the refusal to pay VAT and PAYE? Where is that in those figures?
  20. Hmmm. Any good? http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/torx/2480060/ http://uk.farnell.com/wiha/2859t15/screwdriver-blade-t15/dp/4431753 http://uk.farnell.com/wiha/71515/torx-bit-with-1-4-hex-drive/dp/1001362 with http://uk.farnell.com/wiha/336-59/nut-driver-t-handle-1-4/dp/832420 Pricy: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/hexagon-bits/4915524/ http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/pro138-3pce-extra-long-hex-torx-key-?da=1&TC=SRC-torx%20t15
  21. Quite right. As a manufacturer and exporter I must admit that it scares the willies out of me.
  22. Actually she was quoting someone else, usually attributed to St. Francis of Assisi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prayer_of_Saint_Francis
  23. Corp, for income you forgot to add the amount retained from wilful non-payment of VAT and PAYE. Remind me, how much was it now?
  24. Well, yes that's part of the reason, but doesn't that mean that it's the pound that's failing?
  25. I think I see the flaw in your argument there. High overheads and taxes mean that this ain't gonna happen.
