  1. Agree! The only thing that worries me is the lack of clean sheets and we'll probably need more than 1 to win the game.
  2. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5686212,00.html http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/poshnews/The-end-of-an-era.5809945.jp Utter madness IMO!!

  6. You see, if he was a 'real' Skate he'd have enough fingers to spell P*mpey properly!!
  7. This was a statement they released on Saturday: Southend United Football Club has today issued the following statement: The Club's Chairman, Ron Martin, has today (3pm) confirmed that one of his Group Companies has now paid, in full, the tax due to HMRC in the sum of £2.1m thereby removing the threat of administration. The funds were being held by the Revenue's solicitors and at lunchtime today they have been released. A further, more detailed, statement will be made next week.
  8. The OP I think?
  9. Being reported on SSN that DF has been sacked as manager of Peterborough! WTF? http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/Posh-silent-over-Ferguson-sacking.5807865.jp
  10. Original Announcement. • Itchen fully open (not including blocks 1-3) • Northam 40-42 for home and appropriate blocks for away fans • Kingsland 36-39. Further blocks will be opened in the Kingsland Stand should numbers dictate.
  11. I think it was only renamed Centre 2000 in the '80's when the flumes were added and it was supposed to take it into 21st century. It got knocked down in the '90's!!! The photo actually looks like it was taken after it had closed down because it appears to be boarded up. Probably not long before demolition because I guess the crane was something to do with the construction of West Quay?
  12. Yes, I don't think you can include the referee!!
  13. This was the Hull Daily Mail's report at the time. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/news/Humber-Bridge-Board-unaware-Phil-Brown-talking-suicide-jumper/article-1387487-detail/article.html

  17. Kevin Dillon confirmed the Shots' manager.
  18. Had to laugh at this piece on his Wiki page. "He has made numerous appearances for the Wales under-21 team, but is yet to represent his country at senior level." Apparently he has played 4 times for Wales U21's, which I guess against a total senior appearance record of 24 spanning 8 clubs (22 whilst out on loan), qualifies as "numerous."
  19. I agree but I sort of understand Watt's POV. Fighters, when going away from home to challenge the title holder (rightly or wrongly), usually have to completely dominate the fight to get a points decision. The way Haye was always going to fight, was to use his skill, hand speed and defensive movement to get in quick to the punch and get out before being caught. Fighting that way, you are never going to dominate the fight as such. Haye also spent 2/3rds of the fight protecting a damaged right hand. He described punching Valuev's chin was akin to punching a brick wall.
  20. They were pretty much at full strength. Their reserve GK played but he prevented them from getting a real thrashing.
  21. If it had not been on the box I reckon we would have got around 16k. Maybe 12k!
  22. Just showed it on MOTD2 and added the ring of confidence.
  23. Less than 16,200 at the Wigan v Fulham match today! Premier League, they're havin' a laugh!!!
  24. What a ridiculous thing to say. The guy is 18 years old FFS! He's learning the game and will get fitter, stronger and better. He is very well thought of at Chelsea and starred for the England U19's after putting in a very good performance for us v Gillingham. Mellis will go further in his career than just about any of our academy midfielders and it most certainly won't be at 3rd tier level!
