The vitriol on the Targett thread is quite something. He's clearly a weak link in their defence at the moment. Will be interesting to see how well he copes with Tino's marauding runs from deep on Friday.

Isn't it about time you changed your avatar? 😉

I'm not sure that's true. Play only stops when the ref blows his whistle. For example, if a ref waved play on to give advantage and the defending team then went and conceded a penalty during the ensuing attack, the ref can still go back and issue a card for the first foul, and still give the penalty.

Seems their fans are seething about the officiating tonight. Karma's a bitch ain't it.

Never a better time to play them. Ings injured and Watkins woefully out of form. Konsa and McGinn suspended. Their other big summer signing Buendoa looking a flop. Unrest in the camp by all accounts. Huge pressure on Dean. It's got all the makings of a 1-0 away win, hasn't it 🤦

1-4 now!

Villa 1-3 down now.

Targett at fault for the first goal.
-
Villa losing already.

Didn't he already have it last season? I know it's not uncommon for people to get it twice, but that's unlucky if so.
-
He's not even on the bench though. Must be injured cos there's no way he would be left out completely otherwise.
-
I know it's tempting fate, but I really don't think we should be worried about them. In 10 games they have scored 3 goals and conceded 25. They are a piss poor team and as long as we maintain our performance levels of late then we'll beat them comfortably.

Would have preferred a draw to keep Leeds a few points below us, but hey ho. Norwich are that bad you can't reasonably expect them to take points off anyone at the moment.
-
I get this argument but I don't agree with it. If he's the best striker in the squad he should be playing. End of. Reducing our chances of getting points by leaving our best goalscorer out cos he's only on loan is completely irrational.

Another fantastic goal for Cornet at Burnley. He's some player. Wheels coming off at Brentford after their strong start? 3 defeats in a row now.

cUnacceptable inconsistency and appalling standard of referees

Laporte gets sent off for wrestling Zaha to he ground when he would have been clean through. Correct decision. But when Jonny Evans did exactly the same on Aubameyang he only got a yellow. The inconsistency is infuriating. -
Why don't we have these on the match reaction threads anymore? Can the server not cope with them these days or have the mods just stopped bothering with them?

JV (and Bertrand) couldn't get into the starting 11 of a Leicester side already missing its best 3 defenders today. On the other hand, Salisu was outstanding for us. Don't miss him one bit.

I'd like to know what these experts who have been telling us that Ralph is clueless and a terrible manager who's been found out think he did wrong today. Must have been something, yeah?

Ed, when you post on a forum and you use the word 'here', everybody will assume you mean 'here on this forum'. You should have been clearer. -
If they all genuinely thought Redmond was as bad you say today, then they clearly don't know what they are talking about. He was decent. He was a constant threat down the left, got in behind a few times and created numerous chances, and was an important part of an overall team performance. However poor he may have been in the past has no significance to that.

I meant who are the 10 out of 15 people on here who agree with you that he was poor today? Please point me to those posts. I'll wait.
