In fairness to him, there is a strong wind tonight. Makes accurate delivery very difficult even from a dead ball.
-
Maybe we let Mings go because he's such a dirty c**t. That's twice now he has needlessly left his foot in against Forster. Should have got a yellow for it IMO.
-
Thank buggery Cork is fit again.
-
Yes but that was after it became blatantly obvious we weren't going to qualify for the CL. We had nothing to lose and should have gone for a cup. We have much more to lose this season.

Of all the comments on there, I think this is my favourite... "Glad to see the back of this lot; barely created a chance against them in two games."
-
Seriously ref. You might as well be wearing a Man U shirt. How in the hell is that a foul and a booking for Pelle!?!?

we're away at Old Trafford. What do you expect?

Andy Townsend to leave ITV (ITV.... that's ITV, not Sky!!)
Sheaf Saint replied to 5string's topic in The Saints
Only the mods can do that. Anyway, I will be very happy if I never hear Andy Townsend commentating on an England match ever again. I just hope that ITV don't go an do something stupid and replace him with someone even more clueless and annoying. -
He looked like he was ready to plant one on him and just managed to stop himself at the last second.

This just makes me even more angry that we wasted our money on him in the first place. This aspect of his character was well-known from more than one incident in the past. It was a signing that was never, ever going to work out, and I refuse to believe that Cortese wasn't warned by Reed and the scouting team about it. Imagine what we might have achieved last season if we had spent that £15m on a decent, sane player who wanted to be here.

I once saw Hattie Hayridge (Holly from Red Dwarf) do stand up and found her very funny. I also recently saw an Irish girl called Aisling Bea on Live at the Apollo and she was very good.
-
On the stream I was watching the taters said he had picked up the injury in training but hoped he would be able to play through it.

Given that we have the best defensive record in the PL, and that our forwards are often criticised for being wasteful in front of goal, it's hardly surprising is it.
-
Technically that doesn't count, as it was in the second half of the season
-
You have a valid point. But usually it would require that player to show some good form before most people could accept he had lost it temporarily. Despite the occasional glimpse of what he might be capable of, Mane started very averagely and went downhill, culminating in his absolute shocker of a performance at Bramall Lane. Only now are we seeing his good form.

Good read that. But you would think that having done all that research, the guy would be aware that their current first choice keeper is also an ex Saint.

Fabregas is such a bellend. He just can't stop himself from mouthing off to the ref can he. It's quite obvious why Chelsea have a reputation for diving and trying to con the ref. They have been at it all game this evening as well. Thankfully he hasn't fallen for any of it.
-
Spurs 2-1 up now. Meaning we now have the best defensive record in the PL with more than half the season gone.

The sarcasm is not lost on me, but I am man enough to hold my hands up and admit I was wrong. He has been excellent for the last few games and we will miss him while he is away at the ACON. But having seen how awful he was at Sheff Utd, and seeing the rest of the team completely losing their trust and temper with him, it makes me wonder just how he has made such a quick transformation. Hats off to him and the coaching staff.

The main headline on BBC Sport: "Szczesny errors gift Saints two goals" Nothing about how we tore them apart at the back and should have scored a hat-full.
-
Forster my MOTM, purely for the excellent save he made from Sanchez when it was still 1-0. Did so well to get down and stop it, and if that had gone in, I doubt we would have gone on to win.
-
That's exactly my point. None of them went in did they.

Wowzer. What a superb team performance today. Couldn't be happier with that result, especially with WHam dropping points and Liverpool foooking it up against Leicester. Really should have had more goals though. JWP could easily have had a hat-trick. And I have to say I'm starting to get a little concerned about Pelle's goalscoring form. He really needs one to go in soon to get his confidence back up, because he has missed some real sitters recently. Can we start to dream about the CL now?
-
WTF is this commentator on about? He reckons the two goals Arsenal conceded were the kind of thing you would expect to see on a sunday morning park level match. Did he actually see Mane's finish?

I'm a massive bag of nerves here. 4 mins added time.
