  1. Newcastle 5-1 Spurs!!!!!
  2. Now Davis goes close. That's 3 decent chances in as many minutes. I would prefer if we could get a 4th because I can see Palace scoring another.
  3. OOooh. So close from Mane. AND AGAIN!
  4. Newcastle 3-1 Spurs
  5. Can I have this week's lottery numbers please?
  6. Stoke equalise!!!! Edit: Seems my feed is a little late.
  7. Looks like a few players really are on the beach today. Far too many really poor passes from everyone so far. Just lack of concentration and commitment by the looks of it.
  8. That really should be Ward's second yellow.
  9. Not sure what Mane was thinking there. Gave it away very badly when heading back to our own goal. Could have been costly.
  10. Sheesh! Switched off there to allow that chance. Lucky for us he hit it straight at Forster but it really should have been 1-1.
  11. Yeeeeeess!! There it is! Mane!
  12. Far too many under-hit passes today giving away possession.
  13. Really good effort from Virgil. Not far away.
  14. Cynical foul from Ward there. Should have been a yellow card IMO.
  15. Looking good for that so far. 0-2 down to Hull at HT in their home leg. I never want to see Derby back in the PL ever again either. Still haven't got over them beating us in the 2007 playoffs by kicking lumps out of our best players, then watching their fans on the pitch goading us afterwards. Horrible city and horrible club.
  16. I think you are re-writing history here somewhat. He tweeted something in the heat of the moment when we turned down Spurs' offer for him, but I don't recall him ever refusing to play, and his attitude on the pitch was never less than excellent IMO. Fair enough if you don't rate him as highly as others do (did) but if you're going to criticise him then at least make sure its for something that actually happened.
  17. Yeah but at least they can start the second leg with 11 men on the pitch. 2-0 now. Not looking good for Brighton.
  18. Oh dear. Brighton have already used all 3 subs and now knockaert is stretchered off. And its not down to dirty play from Wednesday either. Damage limitation for them now surely? If they can keep the score at 1-0 going into the Amex leg they might still have a decent chance of making the final.
  19. Were you saying that while he still played for us?
  20. Why couldn't we have just sacked him after his assault on Fonte? It boils my p*ss to think how much we had to pay this pr*ck over the course of his contract.
  21. Wednesday by far the better team so far. Brighton will be gutted if they lose the tie though, seeing as they finished 15 points higher.
  22. Right call - even if it was late. Hooper didn't get a touch and Forestieri was a mile offside when the ball was kicked by the keeper. Reminds me of a goal we conceded at Newcastle a couple of years ago, but that time the officials missed it and the goal stood.
  23. Just watching the Sheff Weds v Brighton game (relevant to Saints because we could be playing one of them next season) and its an absolutely cracking match so far. Wednesday had the more possession and chances but Brighton hit the post from a corner.
  24. SO this guy reckons that because Goodison Park was the first 3-tier stadium in Europe, it should make them more of a pull for a manager than Saints? Well if that is the criteria, I could argue then point that The Dell won national awards for its facilities when it was first opened. But I'm not going to do that because I'm not a deluded imbecile who is living in the past. In the here and now, Goodison Park is a crumbling sh*thole of a ground and an embarrassment to the PL frankly. And that sums up the whole situation in a nutshell. Once proud but now run down and dilapidated - a bit like the club themselves. And I thought we had some idiots in our fanbase - this guy wins the moron award hands down.
  25. He cops a fair bit of flack on here, but I don't think anybody 'loathes' him. At the moment I see him as a very useful squad player with youth on his side and a good potential to improve, rather than a key part of our starting 11. Will he kick on and cement a starting place? Who knows, but I am very happy to have him as part of our squad, and this new deal is excellent news IMO.
