He was also ridiculously slow off his line for the non-penalty incident between THB and Wright.
-
The other option is if a keeper goes down injured then they should be forced to temporarily bring on their sub keeper for a set minimum amount of time (say 10 mins) while he goes off to be assessed, but without having to use one of their 5 subs for it.
-
We took the opposite approach and loaned our best keeper out to a PL team instead.

That's about two weeks isn't it?

Just getting it out there that you hated Tonda before it was cool to. You hipster you 😉

Just watched back the brief highlights again. Even ignoring the fact that it was his stupid giveaway that set up the move in the first place, what the actual fuck is Manning doing for their goal? It's as if he's forgotten he's in a football match and has just gone for a stroll in the park. Edit: on further reflection, the entire defence is culpable because they were all just ball watching and despite our numbers in the box there were still three unmarked Cov players. But Manning still somehow manages to stand out as being extra-useless.

Yeah I should have quoted both posts to make it clearer, but I couldn't be arsed. We seem to be in agreement about being happy to never see him play for us again.
-
I guess keeping THB on kinda made sense, because he can play decent forward passes and also has the potential to get in the box and get on the end of crosses. The other option would have been to bring on Romeu, Bragg or Aribo. Personally I don't think any of those options would have improved our likelihood of finding a winner. There's plenty of reasons to criticise Tonda, but I don't think this is especially one of them.
-
That was his first brain fart in. The lead up to their goal. The second was completely losing his man and just wandering around marking nobody and allowing the cross. I've seen better defending in my local park on a Sunday morning.
-
We weren't playing 5 at the back. THB pushed up into midfield and both Manning and Fellows were playing as wingers.
-
How much longer do we give him? He was anonymous when he came on today. I know Cov were playing a compact deep defensive shape by then, but he was appalling. Did nothing of any note whatsoever. Despite very occasionally showing a decent finishing ability, he's been a truly dreadful signing so far. I thought he might fare better in the Championship than he did last season, but if anything he's even worse now having dropped down a level. I'd be looking to ship him out at the first possible opportunity, personally.

Please, please, pleeeeeeease can we sign a competent LB? I'm so fucking sick of watching Manning barely even pretending to be one, it's really not even funny anymore. His contribution to the Coventry goal today was beyond inept.
-
From what he said afterwards it was more the individual abuse he was getting from the fans behind the dugout rather than any chants.
-
Cam Archer... Just why?
-
That's not what I saw. THB was pushed right up and involved in a lot of our build up play from a midfield position.
-
TBF he looks it as well.
-
Hmmmm. We're still only capable of winning, or even scoring, when the other team plays right into our hands and falls for our pressing traps then.
-
When was the last time a keeper was penalised for fouling another keeper I wonder?
-
You're obviously watching a different game from me then. Fellows and Manning are not playing at the back, they are much higher up and effectively wingers. THB is pushing right up as well. There is just no way you can describe this as a back five.
-
No we're not! It's a back 3 FFS.
-
It's quite obviously not 5 at the back though. Fellows and Manning are effectively playing as wingers now.
-
It's ok, the absolute unit that is Archer is coming on to get on the end of them.
-
As long as we get the wing backs pushing up more then I'm ok with keeping with the 3 CBs I suppose. With Fellows on for Welington now he can get forward a lot more and THB can cover the RB position.

Fellows getting ready

Let's wait and see how long it takes TE to react. When Leicester went down to ten we persisted with 3 CBs for a further ten minutes before making any changes.
