A very good statement made by Cortese. The Echo quite rightly got critised again, but radio solent got away with it this time as they started the ill-informed rumour on Saturday just because Marcus Liebherr didn't make the game.

He might of been more involved this season ( especially at right-back) but he seems to get injured every five minutes and thats why he would be a decent squad player for us next season and nothing more. I know he will want more regular football but he may have to go elsewhere to get that.

At the end of the day he's out of contract this suemmer and is on a good wedge, good squad player on a reduced 1yr deal.

Actually yesterday it was the more senior regular players who let us down. Martin & Mills played well, it was only really Lloyd James who had mare again. Fonte, Lallana & Puncheon were the big let downs yesterday and proved how badly once again we miss schneiderlain.
