  1. For me the jury is out on the players until we get a manager that can coach and has higher standards than RM. When the manager has such low expectations of them you can't tell the slackers from the rough diamonds. A decent mgr would find out soon enough.
  2. SInce the start of last season we've had more managers than league home wins. To be fair RM has inherited a difficult situation but all he has done is pour more petrol on the fire. The fans have rightly had enough. What is even worse is I can't see anything that gives me hope it will improve. Nothing personal but I'd get rid now. It is not working. SR should sack themselves too, yes RM is the manager but they are the ones doing the appointing and they have not made one decent appointment as of now. How much money are they prepared to burn?
  3. Why wait? The performances are not going to improve and every week promotion slips away. Time to cut our losses and part ways with RM. It was another failed experiment.
  4. If you want some pragmatism and a decent champ mgr to boot. Always thought he was hard done by last time he was here.
  5. Ipswich should beat us, they are on a run and looking good, we are a confused ruderless mess. 3-1 or 4-1 to them.
  6. I saw nothing last night that gave me any confidence that this will improve. RM should go now, he doesn't know what he is doing. However the deeper issue is the fact that SR have had 3 goes at appointing a manager and have failed 3 times. It's their no 1 task and they have consistently got it wrong. At least Gao got it right with Ralph. SR should fire whoever appoints the manager. I was excited for this season, thought it was a brilliant opportunity to regroup and get our mojo back but it's looking like a re-run of the dark days of last season. Made Leicester look like Man City through our own tactical incompetence. Men v boys
  7. I'm going to stick my neck out and predict that we'll conceed at least 1 goal. Controversial stuff. Now where's my job as a Pundit?
  8. Nasty result but a good wake up call. This league is dog eat dog and SFC are not going to be given any favours. Leicester next, let's hope this result has sunken in by then and we start to see more urgency.
  9. They will make it difficult but we've got to be looking at 3 points here. Time to start turning SMS into a fortress.

    Che Adams

We need to keep Che, AA, Alcaraz and Tella. That is a strike unit that will get us promoted. I cannot see us replacing them with anything better so why let them go? They are under contract and we need them. Defence is where the club needs to focus. CB would be my priority.
  11. Agreed, Che could get 25+ in this league. Even if we replace him with quality it's hard to see another striker getting much more than Che will probably get anyway. For me we must try and keep Tella and AA, both are going to play a big role this season. It's all about momentum now, 3 points is what we needed and that's what we got. Job done and on to the next game.
  12. If we are serious about getting out of this league then we have to be looking at 3 points. We are not in the Prem now.
  13. Good test, Norwich will be somewhere around top 6 come the final whistle. Got to keep Che and AA, when they really hit their straps the goals will flow. 8 goals today, already loving the champ. Mental league.
  14. A rare opening win and the board is already ticking over. Momentum is everything in this league. Got to keep Tella regardless of what Burnley offer, he's going to have a big role this season.
  15. If we want to get out of this league at the first go then we need to get momentum asap. 3 points should be the expectation here.
  16. He was a great player for us but a 40 y.o taking part in a 46 game slog of a season with big expectations on the players? Not sure about that.
  17. Really up for this, a proper league that anyone could win. Ppl are complaining about the first 2 months but if we are serious about getting out of this it's a fantastic opportunity to get some real momentum going. Screw the plastic Prem losing all the time.
  18. Thank god this season has finally ended. Over to you Russell.
  19. I'm happy to back him and look forward to next season. TBH not sure who else we could have appointed who would have been better. Compared to the dismal fare we have been subjected to recently I think next season is going to be a deep breath of fresh air. Who knows, we may even win a few games.

    Ruben Selles

Feel like I did for Ralph, nothing personal but it really is time to part ways. Best of luck Ruben, to be fair you inherited a hot mess but you are not the right manager for us right now.
  21. If Pool have nothing to play for it's going to be a practice session and we may even get a draw out of it. If Pool have something to still play for they will win. Totally irrelevant either way. The real work starts the next day.
  22. Resurrecting this outfit is going to be a hell of a job. They are way way worse than the team that went down in 05. If possible I'd get the new guy in before the Pool game, Selles is done so why bother prolonging the inevitable. Some serious surgery is needed in the next 2 months.
  23. No one on here (presumably) has any say on whether he is appointed or not so you might as well give the guy a chance. I'll be judging him after the transfer window and around the first month of games. We should start to have a good idea of what he's about. I'm personally expecting us to pick up momentum very quickly because that is what you need to get out of this league. The club owes the fans a real shot of promotion after this self inflicted mess of a season. I hope it will be way more exciting than what we've been served up recently.
  24. Big decision. We have a small window of parachute payment opportunity and a big big task ahead of us to get out of this league. I'll give the board a clap for getting the new man in early enough to put his ideas in place. Not sure about his style though. Need to hit the ground running, 2 wins out of every 3 games across a 46 game season leaves zero time for experimentation. Will this guy be able to get the momentum early enough? Don't know but I do think it will be a fun season (finally).
  25. To get into the automatic promotion spots this season you'd have needed 2 points per game, 2 wins out of 3 over 46 games is a huge challenge. A passive manager is not going to cut it IMO. We need to be positive and aggressive and play on the front foot from the start. Not sure this guy fits the bill. Selles certainly doesn't, no offence but he's not going to get us out of this league. He needs to go.
