how about moving left to right for Lallana song, United did it for their Ronaldo version, it looked quite good.

Bournemouth currently winning means we really need a winner now in danger of stating the obvious. Thank god we have no more cup games

£35 m is mental for Andy Carroll -
talking of free agents. Olivia Kapo or Jeremie Aliadere, better than Keith Gillespe and bags of pace. Good replacements for Punch and/or Oxo. Doubt either would come here though

Wear Your Colours this weekend !
forever a red and white replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
People need to chill. The article is probably aimed at younger fans who get a buzz from wearing replcia kit and stuff. Its also just another bit of marketing. Good opportunity to make some extra £. This is an arguement fans need to get over. -
Do we really need to spend the money is the real question. Now Guly has put pen to paper and has adapted as a striker does it not solve our problem. If one striker is injured, then we can get a loan or hope that Connoly is fit. We also have the sqaud to change our formation for a few games if necessary. We can't sign every good player out there. Lets see where we are in five months. There will be better players out there for us IF we get promoted.

they were singing it a Stoke away only a month or so ago.

If they start the viva ronaldo maybe we could counter with viva lallana!
-
Agree with that.

Completely irrelevant comparison. Transfer prices are always inflated, especially for english players as we have seen. Each transfer is differnent, depends on who is buying who is selling, contract etc. FWIW Bent is a proven goalscorer and although £18m is very expensive, he has always produced the goods in terms of goals. If Bent is a overpriced, then the signing of Jean Makoun by Villa is a bit of a steal. Chamberlain is whatever we demand or based on player judgement by clubs interested.

£ - biggest issue

Although it could be argued that run of cup games, with cup-tied players, with fixture pile up leading to squad rotation was a large factor.

Wages can't be too big anyway as Football League rules state that wages cannot be more than 60% of turnover/revenue
-
Time to bust this out: Ee Eye, Ee Eye, Ee Eye Oh, Up the football league we go, when we get promotion this is what we'll sing, we got Nigel, we are Nigel, Adkins is our king!

Starting to think about where to get tickets seeing as go on sale tomorrow and Block 42 will be taken. Whats the general consensus, trying Block 41 or moving to Ithcen North?
-
never the most intelligent player but a good goalscorer. Helped fire us to play-offs with some key goals, nowrich away and helped Yeovil to play-offs before that.
-
it is very good. I've actually been thinking of doing something similar myself. Maybe the saintsweb can expand in time to do a bit more with the club's media department.

Which players will make in the championship
forever a red and white replied to Guan 2.0's topic in The Saints
how about players that won't cut, IMO of course; Hammond, Jaidi, Seaborne (in time maybe). If we go up I hoenstly believe we wil need a centre back of a much higher quality, a proven championship forward at least. Don't forget, there will be arguably stronger teams coming down from the Prem next season as it is an absolute lottery atm. Anyway, lets get there first! -
Can't look past Chaplow, worked very hard and made a huge difference to help turn the game in our favour, his performance made it possible for the likes of Lallana and co to have the freedom to cause havoc.

Do You Want Puncheon Back Yes / No?
forever a red and white replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
No. It could be unsettling and it appears he and Adkins or perhaps Crosby don't see eye to eye. So what has changed? Having said that, although he may have a poor attitude he does have a good work-rate and despite the general consensus on here, he did work hard for the team. -
MK dons away in the JPT final second-leg That I think was one of Morgan's best game for us, he looked so much betterjust behind the strikers, but because his distribution is so good, it easy to have him playing deeper to move the ball form defence and up that pitch. It should also be noted that pur wingers are very attack minded and as a result our central players must refrain from bombing forward to leave us totally exposed.
