Pardew got his tactics spot on today. They used the long ball effectively to turn us around and often played the ball long, towards two players on one of our full-backs. Fox wasn't great when he came on but Shaw was not much better other than a few crosses. Even though we got two goals today never really looked like we were going to win and did not press as much as we have in past games. Today we just looked very average I thought and Newcastle are a better team than us, played better and had better tactics on the day! Still we can and must be positive towards next week!

Looking at the fixtures it looks bad for QPR and Villa especially. But if QPR pick up a win against us and we fail to get anything at Newcastle, our fixtures in turn don't look too favorable either. So happy how we've been playing but cannot lose the feeling something will go wrong!

This game is massive. We shouldn't get complacent because they quite easily rolled us over earlier in the season and seem to have a habit of pulling results out the bag. Having said that a win, could take us six points clear before we get butt ****ed by City.

Living in Spain at the moment and spoke to some friends over here. They say even though things ended badly that they like the new manager a lot and said they thought he was really good at Espanyol. Nothing negative to say at all really.

Ramirez loves a nutmeg, at least one every game I have seen him play. Puncheon and Lallana were fantastic. Those three were great. Morgan made some important interceptions. Clyne and Shaw were good at full back too.

Watched the game online and have seen multiple replays, the first one he slipped the second one was hardly a dive I thought the commentator said " he knew exactly what he was doing." But yes it has creeped into his game for sure!
