Even if he does somehow come he, he's not really one that excites me. A couple of Spurs friends don't rate him.

47,000. What do I win?
-
Do you therefore disagree with the idea of All Saints Day, or Remembrance Sunday?
-
In your opinion. Personally I don't think remembering the dead of our city as "embarrassing".
-
I think a minute's silence would be a good way to show respect for something that revolved so much around the city. But beyond that I think there will be enough going on in Southampton at the time for the club to not need to go much further.

His brilliant scoring record

Interesting reading through that thread on their forum. Atleast a few of their fans talk sensibly about their league, players and our ambitions. Many seem to come up with the standard generalisation that we are poor and rubbish, though. I would be delighted with Hooper, I think everyone would, as he is likely to be able to cut it in the Prem and could be exactly what we need for the rest of the season. Their fans seem to want £5m-£9m to even consider selling him, and I don't mind us breaking the bank for a clearly prolific striker. His goalscoring record is great in comparison to, for example, J-Rod where a similar figure is being banded about. Will be incredibly surprised if it comes off, but the Adkins link can only work in our favour.

July 2008. Think things have changed a bit since then
-
No, you're right, but he had to avoid Kompany's studs rather than just his body.
-
I understand the rules thanks, I am a qualified referee. The fact that Nani had to take evasive action to avoid being taken out by Kompany's legs/studs suggest to be that it was reckless. To the point at which he used excessive force is certainly debatable and one which I do not agree with. When he first makes contact with the ball the studs are diving in towards in and are certainly not "on the ground". I personally believe it to be a foul and yellow card. Quite a few guys I know who ref believed it to be a red. I still cannot see how you think it didn't warrant atleast a free-kick.
-
So the laws of the game are now classed as "Patronising rubbish", excellent. And please, oh please don't jump on the ridiculous bandwagon that the ref gave a red because a top player said to do so, or that United have referee's wrapped around their little finger. It's frankly embarrassing.
-
People seem to think that winning the ball is everything these days. Even Andy Townsend said "he won the ball, how can it be a foul?". Winning the ball means NOTHING if the challenge was careless, reckless, or reckless with excessive force (Dangerous). Based on the laws of the game the challenge was a foul and worthy of a yellow or red card, depending if the referee saw it as a reckless, or added with excessive force. It may not be how people would like football to be, or the way it used to be played, but rules are rules. It is quite frankly shocking the ignorance shown by the majority of fans when it comes to the laws of the game.

It did, learn the laws of football.

If you struggle to breathe entirely through your nose the strips can help to open the nasal passage and therefore the delay the need to use the mouth for oxygen gain. This means that the increased heat and water loss from mouth intake is also slowed.

1st half was possibly the dullest 45 minutes of football I have ever witnessed. Second half we played well, Coventry did nothing and the younger lads managed to fit in well. Pleased JWP scored as he had missed a good chance a few minutes before. Harding was our best player.
-
I guess things don't work for everybody, but it can be down to the size of the strips and finding ones which stay attached to the nose throughout the night.

A quick plug for my small eBay venture. I used to supply Breathe Right strips only (still do in another listing) but have discovered a new set of strips which are far cheaper and, I am told, far more effective. Their main uses are for preventing snoring, by opening up the nasal passage, and therefore can come in handy for anybody who may struggle to breathe during exercise. Anyway, if you fancy taking a look the link is below. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130620202781&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT#ht_1178wt_976 Cheers, Simon

@simon_goodwin Tweet about anything really

Thread on their forum suggests the club are only expecting an attendance of 6,000 including away fans.

English clubs are well known for pillaging the Asian player market, aren't they?
-
Surely the club wouldn't put it on the OS unless it was effectively a done-deal? The work permit, from my limited knowledge of them, shouldn't be too much of a problem if he's a Japanese international, right?
-
Oh and Puncheon, get him in there. Stick Lallana on the bench and give Jason a chance. Reeves and Forte is the least attractive front-line since WW1
-
Bart Butterfield Martin Fonte? Dickson Lallana Hammond Morgan Holmes Connolly Guly Give a few players a rest, but the lads will be desperate for a confident boost and we need to improve our form away from home.

First time under Adkins we've lost 2 in a row?
