I apologise, was looking at 2009/10
-
I hope it's a rubbish tie, as I can't make it.
-
We all had pretty much bang on the same average attendance at home last season.
-
I've never said that.
-
Our support is decent, home and away. The likes of Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle have very good support, which is above average for the size of their club. You didn't compare us to other teams such as Coventry, Middlesborough and Reading, all who have similar home gates and yet have much few average away attendances. Sheffield Wednesday only averaged 150 fans more than us at away games last season.

Leeds have the best support in the country outside the top 4, with supporters groups all over the country. "Are" Northern support isn't big. So what? We're Southampton. No, I don't think a big signing would prompt many people to go as it's not just popping down the road and getting a ticket. It would be train/fuel costs + ticket + food/drink for the whole day. Pretty pointless thread.

I remember him saying we were looking to get 2 or 3 players in. Don't remember a quote saying we'd be spending significant amounts.

Don't know much about Maynard, so EB for me.

I'm going to remember this post

When we didn't have the Chamberlain money? And how would that have worked?
-
Must have been a while ago then, there is a roof Guly seems to be blowing hot and cold again. He could be put in the team and waste chance after chance, then again he could get a brace and an assist. Difficult call. Perhaps waiting until 65 minutes or so for some tired legs, then get De Ridder to run riot at them. (no pun intended.)

He's got a cracking scoring record at this level and is only 25. Would be very happy!
-
I wonder if he can match his record at Eastbourne Borough - 7 games, 21 conceded.
-
It's ridiculous; you write your bet (with odds) on a bit of paper, hand it over to the girls who then (both of them) try to decipher what you've written, followed by working out if the odds you've written are correct. With Ladbrokes it was done and dusted in 15 seconds.

When's the second round draw?
-
7 Different scorers is impressive. The speed of the forum, however, is not.
-
Jonathon "He's not a footballer" Forte makes it 4.
-
A 27 year old striker with 267 club appearances and 40 goals. No thank you.
-
Could you not ring the ticket office and get them to reserve 3 tickets for collection?
-
I'm out tonight. I don't have any plans to riot.
-
Yes, but I guess 12.5 was the original fee agreed.
-
Previous record was "Blown out of the water". Previous record was £12.5m for Walcott.
-
1700: FOOTBALL - Press Association Sport understands that Arsenal have agreed to pay £15m for Southampton winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. From the Beeb

Hardly a surprise, his leg was broken in 3 places!
-
If true then we've gained an extra £5m upfront from the reported £7m. So a 20% sell-on clause would mean he'd have to be sold for £25m for that money to be returned. Let's face it, he probably fits Arsenal better than any other Prem side and won't be going anywhere for a while.
