  1. We might as well just cancel their contracts and get them out the club now, whatever the cost!
  2. Instead of a curry, how about you just order a spicy pizza on Friday's for now on then?
  3. I think we are heading for the play off's now, just hope we can win it this time. Losing to Derby was heart breaking, I can't go through that again.
  4. You missed out inbred but otherwise you have pretty much summed them up there
  5. Maybe but Brighton and Huddersfield will win as both have easy home games
  6. Yes that's what I thought. Plus I've just seen the solent report saying officals at the club have rubbished the reports but will not be making a comment. I'm pleased cortese told wicked uncle Wenger where to go. It doesn't sound like a chairman looking to sell the club does it?
  7. I wonder if he will come out and rubbish this takeover rumour in this interview? Or will he just ignore it as he said he will not respond to ever silly little rumour made?
  8. Win 3, Draw 2 and lose 2
  9. As always when you throw away a comfortable lead, this feels like we lost right now. The bigger picture shows we got a fairly decent point against a difficult team who have a good record at home. They also had "New Manager Syndrome" in their favour. So I guess its not so bad a result. But seeing Brighton and Huddersfield winning so comfortably again and our side appearing not strong enough to hold on it makes automatic promotion all that further away right now
  10. This is bull,. At the end of this article it says "Liebherr's daughter, Katharina, took control after he died of a heart attack in August". This isnt even true. We have never had that confirmed, so what does Alex Montgomery know anyway?
  11. Looks a bit like a modern day Alan Ball flat cap
  12. A lot of the skates fans keep saying they don't mind the trouble they are in now because at least it brought them success beyond their dreams, with promotion and the FA cup. Its that thought that keeps them going in these dark days (dark days for them anyway). I think it would be very humorous and only fair really if they were to be offfically stripped of the FA cup win. It would send out a clear message of not spend beyond your means to win a competiton. Michel Platini himself said that Pompey had cheated ""When I was younger, I remember seeing people with no money buy Ferraris — and then, because of the Ferrari, they would get the best girls! That's not correct, but it's what has happened in football: you don't have the money to buy the players, but you get the players and in the end you cheat and win the competition. That's not correct." http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/28/michel-platini-premier-league-portsmouth I have posted this link before but liked it so much I thought I would again. They cheated to win the competition. Although winning the FA cup was only really the tip of the iceberg regarding their cheating and ripping off honest business, I believe stripped them of the cup is the only fair thing to do for the integrity of the competition . If they get liquidated job done I suppose but if they continue on this long slow death I would love to see this happen.
  13. Just listened to the after match comments on BBC site. Man did Tisdale sound down, I almost felt sorry for him.
  14. I bet Dale Jennings wins the Football Manager Apprentice of the Year award
  15. No it wasn't the Tory party but it was their Tory boy public school boy friends the bankers who did put us in this mess. Now those same bankers helped vote their favourite party back to power to help keep their bonus safe. Defence might well have fallen behind but I'm more worried that we will soon have to kiss goodbye to the NHS. Unless you are rich enough for that not bother you, that concerns me.
  16. Yeah that is great! Although... I'm not really sure about getting n'guessen on loan, I know Leicester fans see him and pretty much hit and miss. The thing is even if we do get the best out of him we will be in an Antonio situation again and he'll go back to Leicester and they will reap the rewards of our hard work with him. I see him as a player we need to improve and being here will benefit him playing in the team more than it will benefit the teams promotion bid. I hope he proves me wrong. I would have prefer someone that can come straight in and make a big difference but I guess we are being priced out of that by clubs not wanted to sell to us as rival promotion contenders. Not because we dont have the money they are asking but just NC isn't willing to pay over the odds for players who are not proven above are current level. (And Rightly so) So yeah I am happy with the business we have done to keep the current squad together but I do feel we are lacking and could do with a player or two to give us a better chance of promotion. Plus its always exciting to bring in a new dcent player to get the fans buzzing and just give the whole club a lift. So I do hope we can bring in a decent signing of Lambert/Fonte quality.
  17. Loans only I reckon and they will happen after the window is shut.
  18. No news is good news? Ok so we got a loan in but it looks like that could well be it unless we are going to bring more loans in after the transfer window has shut.
  19. Now promotion looks unlikely all bar an amazing run of results, what will happen next season for the Skates? How many seasons of parachute payments do they get? How much of that money will all the owners take for themselves before they sell up to some fan consortium ? Will they even stay up this season? Its always good to come and read this thread when Saints news isn't great.. Always cheers me up
  20. Right now I'm feeling very negative about our chances. I would like to think at the very least we would win the play offs, but after the last two crappy results i have to say we might not even make the play offs if we can't win a game with Lallana missing. We definitely need to bring in some new players if we are going to have a chance at second, I dont think we will catch Brighton now, but i hope I'm proven wrong!
  21. To be honest I will be happy when the window shuts now. I hope we do bring in at least a couple of decent players but not for silly money. Looks like Ox is off to play for wicked uncle Wenger, which I'm sure the media are all now very pleased to see. It just eats them up to see talented players in Saints shirts and I think its a relief for them when we give in and sell them on. He wants to go so let him go, just hope we can bring in some game changers before the deadline. With results not going to plan in the last couple of games and losing our latest talent, it would be nice to hear some positive news soon on the transfer front. When the window is shut at least we will have a better idea as to where we are.
  22. This is what I thought. When I read the headline I thought he might have got a good kicking. But it turns out he got off lightly and it was just a couple pick-pockets really. I guess they used "Redknapp Mugged" as the headline to get more people interested in the story. Unless of course he was paying a young chap for some downstairs fun, and his mates robbed him, as georgeweahscousin has suggested... haha. Now that would have been a HEADline to sell a few extra papers
  23. It doesnt matter what team Man Utd put out. Their second team is good enough to beat our first team. So why bother playing our best team and risk injuires and suspensions? I think most sensible Saints fans would say play the fringe players, give them some valuable first team experience against premier league oppostion, hopefully they play better than expected and only lolse 1 or 2 nil maybe even a spirited 2-1 defeat. Then have our first team ready and fully fit and raring to go against Exeter on Tuesday. Problem solved
  24. Spot on, I agree with you 100% Its a shame it appears his Dad and Arsenal forced this move into happeneing. He has probably been offered a swish new car and a big house in north London on top of massive wages. It probably will push his career back a few years. He'll be a reserve at best for a couple of years but I guess that doesnt matter to his Dad. He just see it as a secure financial future. I agree I dont want him back on loan if he goes as far as I am concerned he is out of here the moment he signs on the dotting line for Arsenal. If I were his dad I would be worried about Wenger's apparent obsession with young black boys, obviously Walcott is now too old for his obsession... thats all I am saying Seriously though If i were in charge at Saints and I had the money to say no, I would. I wouldn't care about maintaining a good relationship with there club and play it all nice, I would quite literally tell them where to go. I hate the fact clubs like Arsenal and Spurs can just come in and steal our young players then take credit for all our hard work. Yes I know we have been guilty of that in the past when we were in the premier league but I am sure we didnt keep going back to the same club over and over again like Arsenal have started too.
