  1. So much was wrong Saturday that only a blinding performance and score will do tomorrow. I was embarrassed by Saturday and seeing Bazunu time wasting from the off said an awful lot about our approach to the game. For me RS is not the second coming and I’m predicting that by the end of the season that pretty much everyone will want him gone.
  2. Completely agree and when he goes I think he’ll do it in the ‘right’ way. FWIW my comment about the charade wasn’t aimed at him but at the team as a whole. Without his endeavours and effort we may well not have any wins to our name. It must be incredibly disheartening for him.
  3. Not a cat in hells chance he’s staying!! Why would he? He’s a professional looking to maximise his playing and earning potential during a limited career life span. Yes he’s been part of the charade this season but I certainly don’t blame him. I honestly think he loves the club but for his own career it’d be bonkers to stay. I now hope I have to eat large wedges of humble pie when he leads us back up next season!!
  4. And one of those managers was a coach under the other two. And we wonder why we’re seeing more of the same?
  5. I get that Fabrice, I really do. However is Bednarek better than DCC? Does Ellyounoussi offer anything that’s worthy of starting a game let alone playing 90 minutes? Everyone is pulling their hair out at times over team selection and formation. It’s all about opinions and nobody should be rubbished for what they think, especially on here, but for me there’s probably 3 players from yesterday that shouldn’t be anywhere near the team.
  6. Onuachu…. A poor man’s Peter Crouch and our new Carillo?
  7. ‘We’ve spent a lot of money assembling not much’………….out of interest have you copied and pasted that from a 2022, 2021 or 2020 post?!!
  8. Rotation in personnel? How about picking the absolute best 11 we have to see if they can possibly play as a coherent team? You never know it may work and what a shot in the arm that would be for Leicester. What he can’t afford to do is lose that Cup game.
  9. For me he’s not the answer. Forget the Chelsea result, today said everything we need to know about RS. We had to win but we didn’t and we never laid a glove on them. Instead we looked at the safe options and as usual came unstuck with a hapless mistake. I’d have been happier if we’d lost 5-3 but gave it a bloody go!
  10. Him and Bednarek getting in the starting 11 and Diallo being subbed on says all we need to know about why we’re going down. It also brings into question Selles as a manger
  11. I’m just back from the game and that ranks right up there with one of the most insipid and turgid displays I’ve seen - and there’s been a few. We had nothing absolutely nothing to lose today by going at them but Mellier never even got out of neutral. It’s early days with Selles but that performance was right out of Ralph’s playbook so if that’s where we are then clearly he’s not the answer.
  12. I’m driving up Saturday. Any advice on parking? I parked near the ground last time and it was a bit of a nightmare getting out. Thanks
  13. I ‘groomed’ my nephew at a young age when he was flirting with Arsenal. He’s now a STH and went to Southampton Uni out of choice! When we moved North my son wanted to follow the City brigade so I dug deep again………I promised him one visit to the Etihad and one City kit, after that he was on his own. The alternative was to follow The Saints and I’d buy him every kit each season and we’d go to plenty of matches. He’s now 15 and I’m not thinking about how much this has cost me!!
  14. Selles can get off to a flyer simply by not selecting Janny B, Diallo and Lyanco. If he goes down that route he’s condemned himself before a ball is kicked.
  15. It’s not just refereeing though is it? Pretty much standards in society have plummeted. Few people want to take any responsibility and it’s always someone else fault. The younger generation appear to have a sense of entitlement and those in positions of authority such as teachers and Police Officers have had their positions continually eroded. TBH as things stand there’s probably little chance of reversing things without a total reset. I love the story about the parent of a ref who was watching his young son referee. The lad was getting dogs abuse so the parent identified the player of the parent giving the worst abuse and started telling the lad how rubbish he was. It didn’t take long for the parent to interject and tell the parent of the referee that it was his son and he was a child. When it was pointed out that his son, the referee, was also a child the other parent shut up straight away and nothing else was said all game.
  16. Wow just Wow!,! Let that sink in……….Pep - outplayed, outthought, out scored and lost to a NJ side!!
  17. Absolutely this. He didn’t come here with a view to it ending like this. NJ and Saints were a very poor fit but I certainly don’t bear him any ill will. There’s ten of thousands of people dead from an earthquake not many hours from here so really in the great scheme of things NJ’s shambolic reign isn’t the end of the world.
  18. I think we need a touch of realism here………..Poch, Pep, Klopp etc etc ain’t coming here!! Ralph until end of the season and then re-set? In unlikely event that he keeps us up…………then maybe there’s a question to be asked? I only say him as he knows the players etc and right now time is short and games are running out
  19. It is a good squad but I disagree with you Farenam over this season. If we’d have got the decision right pre World Cup we’d have been okay. What do you think he’s cost us…….. £5M a point? Staggering incompetence. For me the new management should come in for next season so they don’t also suffer a car crash, this one is done.of course I hope I’m wholly wrong and I’m made to eat my words!!
  20. He’s gone1
  21. SR should come out and say whether they intend to give him until the end of the season because this game by game basis helps nobody.
  22. I’m still not convinced as to whether he is the correct man. However having listened to the press conference and having listened to the fans forum from the other night I think there’s room for optimism. We all make mistakes, not everyone is a great orator, we’d all take a great opportunity if it was presented to us and probably most wouldn’t set out to do a poor job if they had such an opportunity. I genuinely think NJ realises he may have reacted wrongly and maybe just maybe what he said was lost in translation. Yes I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt but it helps nobody to keep berating him and from what I’ve heard and certainly from player reactions when we’ve got results in games they like playing for him. That in itself means an awful lot and if on Saturday it’s clear they’re prepared to run through brick walls for him then perhaps we could pull a rabbit from a hat and dig ourselves out of this mess. One thing’s for sure though, the team will need the fans onside…………oh and one more thing…….I’m not part of NJ’s family or close circle of friends!!
  23. Great post and interesting too. I watched it though and just wondered how players like Obafemi would get their head round what he was saying!
  24. If I was NJ and the Saints coaching staff I’d show that finish to Che and suggest he takes note of what a composed finish looks like!!
  25. I’m currently listening to it and have read all the posts. FWIW I take a few things from it that aren’t all negative (sorry if that doesn’t fit the narrative). Fair play to them for fronting up to everything asked and appearing to try and give candid and honest answers. Ultimately I think Wolves will be the watershed moment for NJ - literally a must win game. Look, we may not like all of what they had to say and we all probably think we could do a better job but I bet plenty of other clubs wouldn’t have even entertained a forum like this BIM everything that’s going on with the club.
