Yeah, cost me my first points finish. Had a really bizarre season so far. It chucked it down in malaysia during quali and I managed to bag pole in my lotus. Race day was also a bit wet but nothing drastic, but my lotus seemed to be competitive, and I managed to take my first race win with Kubica all over my rear (ooer) for the last few laps. Thing is, I've been no where near that competitive for the other races, finishing around 12th to 8th

Loving it so far. The driver AI is great. Doesnt look quite as good as it does in the demos for some reason, but still quite pretty. (the mirrors are particularly bad).

no its fine, ohio saint. The points are completely valid and you should expect a service that's up all the time. The reason for me adding my comments to this thread were to point out that a) we are aware there are problems b) you are indeed entitled to a site that's up all the time c) we are doing our best to resolve problems with the available time that we have

Firstly, I appreciate your concerns above. As a user as well as an admin, it ****es me off too when the forums down. A couple of facts first though. The money collected and thus invested pays for the server and other features. If it paid for mine and steves salaries too I'm sure we would jump in and fix stuff asap as it happens, we have to fit upgrades and tests around our day jobs. We're only saying this to point out that we CANT fix everything when issues occur. Yes, if we had stuck with the old forum software then the forum most likely wouldnt go down on match days. However, we need to take the site onwards and upwards and that has meant a vast amount of time invested in the new features. The problems that we are experiencing now stem from issues specifically with the forum software. I am happy to say that steve has been working on these very recently and we are hoping that come tomorrow, the server will stay up. If it doesnt, then we will continue to investigate and tweak. thanks

Theres a difference between them quoting the forum, and Saints Web making a public statement on behalf of the fans, surely you can see that?

cool. to reiterate, we've absolutely no problem with people using the forum as a vehicle to organise a fans view, as long as that view isnt expressed as "Saints Web announce..."

Sorry chaps but this "voice of TSW" has been discussed before. As TSW is myself and steve, any voice would be representative of us, which we are certainly not happy with. We're not against people expressing their opinion of course, and if you all want to organise something as a group of fans and write to the echo, using the forum as the medium to put together that opinion then thats great, but not if its representative of saintsweb, sorry.
