  1. As far as I can see whom ever now steps up to the plate, with whatever amount of funding has got to be on to a winner. In our desperate situation they will be seen as saviours and if we the fans are fair we'll allow them one hell of a honeymoon period, say 3 years!
  2. I can't see any reason why we won't..eventually..be taken over. I am not that clued up about administration etc but it seems simple. Fry is under a lawful obligation to achieve the best price for the creditors. Now what that price ends up as is surely down to market forces, i.e. how many are interested and what price ultimately can be acheived. The options are surely - 1. No one makes an offer which I think is unlikely and from reports has already occurred. In which case I presume liquidation follows and a fire sale of assets takes place. 2. That any offer is not acceptable to creditors, in terms of the amount offered, which again will mean a liquidation and sale of assets. 3. Surely the most likely scenario is that the highest bidder wins. Now that might not be anywhere near the reported 14 - 15 mil being sought but I would have thought creditors would rather have something rather than nothing. In which case Fry would have done his job and fulfilled his legal obligation. I may completely wide of the mark with my theory and if I am i'm sure someone will put me right!
  3. What "offer" was the G20 bloke looking for?, was he going to the sales?. If so he certainly got more than he 'bargained for'. As for being killed by the Police, what are you on about, have you had the autopsy results before everyone else? If so I suspect judging by your juvenile comment you wouldn't be able to understand the large words used...idiot.
  4. So what exactly is a muzzled dog used for? If it's available then use it surely. It ain't going to bite anyone in the stands is it? This thread as usual smacks of 'it's someone else's fault' like so many in society there is a refusal to accept the consequence of ones actions. You invade a pitch and the Police don't want you to, then expect a reaction be it baton or canine. Personally i'd be more concerned about the poor mongrel catching something from biting some of the mongs attending SMS of late.
  5. I'm not that bothered whether there was or was not any trouble I'll leave that for others to get hyped up on. The fact of the matter is we are experiencing the classic symptoms of what criminologists refer to as ' broken windows' theory. The club is in turmoil, the board is in disrepute, this is reflected on the field and not unnaturally off the pitch. Thus we have certain 'elements' feeling able to reflect the situation of the club and some could argue take advantage of it's demise. Whilst football violence is never far from the surface, and lets face it with so much passion and testosterone present that's not surprising, it is at points in a clubs history when it is on it's uppers that violence tends to make a sustained appearance. Personally I don't think it's a major problem at Saints, but slip down another division coupled with a loss of hope then it will increase exponentially.
  6. Well i'm no great Lowe luvvie and like 99.9% of the population I don't really know what has taken place in the past years in terms of finances and vested interests. But I have to say listening to him being interviewed about the state of the club before he was ousted, in terms of the overdraft and money on deposit, he does make some important and plausible points. If he is too be believed it's whilst he was out of the picture that things really started to go down hill in terms of finances. Again one has to be cynical but as he says no one has attempted to sue him for his previous assertions and listening to him I get the mpression if he'd have not be temporarily side lined we may, and note I say may, not be in this current situation. Before the abuse comes thick and fast i'm not disputing he's divisive nor that he made some bad decisions in respect of managers etc but just that financially he seems more astute than some others who have held the reins of late.

  8. Oh here we go, selective memory. Sorry mate a number of posters on here have been pleading (not too strong a word) for admin, and it's been ging on for months. I don't know if you were one of them, i'll assume not but there is no denying a few strange so called fans have now got what they wanted. But to them i'd say, be careful what you wish for as you might just get it!
  9. I blame Wilde for this mess, it was he who appeared with an aura of saintliness and was considered by so many on here as our saviour. Yep you know who you are, those turn coats who over the past few months have been giving it large on abuse against Wilde and Lowe seem to have selective memory, when you were on bended knee thanking Wilde for coming in. Whilst clearly the blame could have been laid fairly and squarley at Lowes door, until that is Wilde entered the fray, got Crouch in a tizzy and now here we are divided, broke and frankly it would seem bereft of ideas on what to do about it all. For me if Wilde had stayed out of it or better still fulfilled his initial promises then things would have been far simpler, a lot of time and money wouldn't have been wasted and who knows, and this is the crucial point, someone benefator might have come forward either to work in tandem or initiate a take over. You'd have to be stupid to get involved with a club that is in turmoil off the pitch with some many factions and awash with self interests and that's why we've attracted no serious interest. Nope Wilde has a lot to answer for.
  10. Unreal son, you need to read that post again. 'Industrial language' don't know what industry he works in at his age but watch out for the authorities. The real problem is the likes of you and presumably his 'guardian' trying to excuse such behavior. So get real the kids doesn't stand much of a chance does if you and your ilk condone the use of such language, I appreciate you may have a limited vocabulary, just judging by your posts mind, but surely if you know the family you could encourage the adult to stop taking him and allow him to get better mentoring. As for this idiot being respected you like some many youngsters have no comprehension of what it means or stands for, so get over it, as they say on the street 'nuff said' Oh and before you start, if he exhibits such behavior in mine or my families vicinity you can be sure he'll be robustly challenged, now that's putting it politely!
  11. For the above instead read......"Sorry I don't have any arguement with which to challenge your well thought observations, therefore I will resort to inept ridicule in an attempt to deflect your points as they have the ring of truth and iv'e no real counter arguement or suitable response". I think you speak volumes (pun intended) for that section of the attendees, not fans, who add nothing usuful to any debate. Well done indeed.
  12. The Lowe effect, what are you on about?. The question was around odds on staying up, why start another agenda item. Stupid post..Fact. Anyway back on topic i'd say 50/50, just need one win with those around us losing and well be back in the mix.
  13. In answer to your question, I will continue to attend as many games as I can. If it happens to be in Div 1 then so be it. In fact I will probably be as proud to be one of a few as I am currently. Thier is a perverse satisfaction in facing up to adversity, and of course when we bounce back one day i'll be able to regale my grandchildren on how I and a chosen few stuck with Saints through the lean times.
  14. Oh yawnnnnn, give it a rest. Come up with a solution not whining on about what could have been ala Pearson. It's done, it's over, it's final ..get over it, lover boy has gone on to other things, he's left you, he's dumped you, it was nothing personal but hey it happens ...again get over it.
  15. Yep i'm positive Wotte's appointment was the right decision in the circumstances and have been saying that from the get go. As for us staying up, again as iv'e said plenty of times in these past weeks, can't be sure he'll do it but without him we'd be sunk already, rather than merely holed below the water line and pumping furiously. So I may stand alone but i'm standing tall and come the final whistle i'll know that I made my choice and stuck with it. How many of you can say that?
  16. We should have won, if we had the stats i'm sure it would show we had the majority of the posession. The defence is coping well in the main and Kelvin despite the odd scary moment does more than is required. We certainly competed well in midfield, some nice passing as usual but precious little movement, this and the fact that we seem to be looking for the perfect set up before going for goal, these are our weaknesses. So often we went forward and despite being in a position were we could have had a shot or attempt on goal all too often, in fact almost every time, we would try just one more pass in an attempt to get the perfect position to launch a strike. That and the fact that our crossing was and has been all season, woeful, in fact embarrassing wouldn't be too strong a word. I still think it's all to play before but what we need is a win and others at the same time to drop points to see us make significant progress.
  17. No - why would you try to stir up discord when the team is doing well. Protests, walkouts, complete waste of time and energy. And before you start on about, fickle fans etc, no some of us, in fact judging by the trickle of fans who attended the march, the majority of us are more concerned with supporting the team rather than trying to oust the board or members of it. If you really can't stand the set up at Saints then don't go until it suits your requirements - simple
  18. Whilst I know what you mean, arrogance is the key in my view to his success so far. He clearly is his own man, in terms of the team, the fans and I suspect most importantly Rupes. So would we rather have someone who's grateful to be working for RL or someone who is arrogant and believes in himself and who I suspect is prepared to stand up to others with less knowledge...Rupes! So for me he can be as arrogant as he wants, as long as he's delivering the goods.
  19. Full credit to you and others who are willing to at least consider the possibility that Wotte might, just might, know what he is doing and in the process, all things being equal, save us from the drop. You can see plenty of others already peddling backwards and trying to justify their criticisms. Nobody said Rupert had the answer but that Wotte should be given all the support we had to offer and clearly things are on the up.
  20. Certainly the best atmosphere this season, Wotte has instilled a sense of purpose in the team and a sense of pride in the fans. How often can say Saints have held on to a lead for some 80mins? and kept a clean sheet to boot! All in all a fine (not brilliant) performance, I thought Davis was superb and as others have said possibly a world class save, Gillett had a good game but at times he looked to me alongside McGold that he might cost us the game such was his woeful passing on occasion. As for McGold, he was certainly in the ten minutes before he was subbed terrible, so lazy, but i'll allow him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was knackered hence being replaced. Otherwise a solid peformance, players playing for each other and we could have had a couple more, as could Cardiff to be honest. Oh yeah, for once good value for money as well.
  21. He may or may not save us from the drop but as I 've been saying since he was appointed, you know with him he's his own man, he confident in his own ability, doesn't seem to worry too much about who he upsets and clearly has an air of authority about him. All these qualities are certainly having a positive effect on the team, they are more of a unit and prepared to put the effort in. Today is the first time I can recall for ages when you knew the whole stadium were behind the team and I would argue even if we hadn't have got the three points their would have been a round of applause at the end for the effort and quality. Whatever else happens he has for my money put the pride back into Saints.

    THAT Save

Im old enough to remember some superb saves both at the dell and elsewhere and truly this was top drawer, not only for the agility but for the fact he'd just moments earlier blocked a blistering shot.
  23. Man, you are really on form tonight, yet another well thought out comment, why not turn your computer off, help conserve energy, do your bit to save the planet and more importantly save what is left of that one brain cell. You really are wasting time and effort by pressing those keys if that's all you have to offer, so log off..... and I mean that most sincerely.
  24. Stanley, along with your earlier post regards our most hated chairmen, I think we could all learn a lot from you on how to construct and present well thought out, incisive arguement, but tell me where is Ollie Hardy....another fine mess you have got yourself into...idiot.
  25. Wow how profound.......or rather what a waste of a number of key strokes!
