Look on the bright side though, after VvD has been sold, nobody will want any more of our superstars at the end of the season.

We won't, he will. We really are very poo, I can see us ****in this game up as well.

Pretty average really - which is what we are I guess, a lower to mid table average side. Really quite sad that VvD (who won't be here for very long) is not only our best defender, but also our best striker as well. Hate to say it - but I think boro will do us as well - we are pretty rotten right now. -

It's quite funny to think that we need to score two goals, but it is highly unlikely that we will even be able to muster two shots. -

Need a good rocket up the ass at half time, come out all guns blazing for the second. If they score, can't see us winning, no chance of getting level, let alone 2 goals with this line up. -
Aw well, look on the bright side, early night tonight, no need to stay up for MOTD Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk

Can anybody point me in the direction of the Saints fans match thread please..? Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk

I'm pretty sure that Sammy would've been half expecting it. He's been in the game long enough to know how it works. Besides, can't see him being out of work for long - infectious character with a lot of experience - somebody will snap him up. Would be happy to see him back here - but highly unlikely.

Police Investigations into historical interference with young players
Micky replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
This really isn't a topic for 'points scoring'. It isn't banter, it isn't tribal - it isn't about football. It is much more serious than that. If they are using it for inter club rivalry then they are simply demonstrating their total ignorance. Personally I sincerely hope that we refrain from such interaction and show proper respect for the many victims in this whole sorry saga. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk -

No, it really wouldn't - and there will probably never be a last straw for most fans. If you support a club, you do so for life. IF we sold VvD to Everton, most fans would be pretty hacked of - but we move on - always. Go back to Ken Monkou, Mark Wright, Dean Richards, Killer, Clause, Lovren even, and many, many more - we go on, irrespective.

I think this is pretty much close to the mark. Whether he's signed a 5, 6, 7 or ten year contract really makes little difference, once the player himself wants to leave and the money on the table is sensible. Contract length for top players at clubs like ours simply gives more leverage when negotiating the final price tag - if VvD is still here in 1 1/2 - 2 years time - then I'm a Dutchman.

Shocking news, another Saint marching in far, far too early. RIP Dicky.

Thanks for that, much appreciated.

Meh, a good 'Last on MOTD' result, very happy with that. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk

Alas I fear the ex saints will win this one (easily). Lallana will finally put in a good performance here again, Lovren and Clyne will be solid at the back and Mane will put us to the sword - it is written. This could be a worse result than the Chelsea one - brace yourselves.

Amen. We lost, get over it - move on. There are no easy games - we are a mid table team and have no divine right to think that we will easily roll Hull over in their own back yard. Was there really no plan A or B - or did we just have a bit of an off day - sh it happens. We will finish mid table - that's our level, have a bit of a European adventure and perhaps get to the latter stages of a cup. Enjoy FFS.

Kept our heads when it wasn't going particularly well for us, and came through to win. VvD is just immense, I fear for the Jan transfer window - he is that good that somebody will put some big money on the table soon. Crowd were good, and roared the boys home at the end - well done. Alpine is a complete and utter co ck, tool, fu kwit, numpty, di ck, and any other expletive I can think off. Knob off mate - go and jump off a mountain.
