Got a mate who is a Cov fan, he actually took me to the Ricoh while it was being built, and look how things have panned out since - really feel for them all. It could have been us as well, think we were very lucky SISU never got their claws into us. Hope they win it and the Cov fans have a great day out - after all of the shyte they have taken, they deserve much, much better.

Nah, I don't think so. Obviously I want us to - but I don't think it's a 'must win' game. Watched the game on Saturday and we just weren't good enough on the day. We haven't scored all season and now with the VVD out - that has just compounded the situation. What I don't see, and haven't seen all season, is a team not trying. So we need a reaction and a good performance at least - if we get points, that's good, but I don't see it as a 'must win'.

I'm not quite sure what you mean - I would say the same about all of our players. I don't think that we have any really bad players, and other than VVD, we have no real top players - the players are what they are, good decent professionals and we are a mid table prem team. If you call that 'little-old-Southampton', fine but making the transition from mid-table to higher is very, very difficult as many teams have found out to their cost. Therefore, my expectations are realistic. OP's point not at all (massively - lol) proven. Reality creeps in.

Yep - we are in a poor run of form - no denying that. But personally I would rather see us limp to the end of the season and then back the manager properly and allow him to build for next season.

Both very good players who are presently just going through a crisis of confidence. Professional sport is largely about both ability and confidence - both have the ability, unfortunately, at present confidence is low.

They were the days, excitement to the last day - we're not quite there yet - but close.

This is exactly how I see it - we have some very pretty players, but most are lightweight and very few are leaders. We need VVD back and another strong CB beside him in order to stabilize the back and let the people in front play. There is some real dross at the bottom of the league, so confident that we can at least avoid relegation, not too fussed this season now. That said, need to improve majorly for next.

Yeah I agree, I doubt we will have any fans at all in ten years time. We will be playing in an empty SMS, which will be the first stadium to undergo construction to reduce capacity. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
