  1. The link to Nigel reciting it by the OP led me to watch the 5 Years On video as well, great video - shows how far we've come and great to hear the enthusiasm in Nigel's voice as he remembers the good times. The poem is used as the music to the end of that video as well. Great times - will always be a NA fan.

When we get to the 18 yard line we look totally devoid of idea's. For all of our possession we have rarely actually troubled the keeper. Better sides will batter us. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
  3. I take it the source is actually the Telegraph taxi driver that has just dropped him off at the De Vere...!!! Seriously though, my only worry with him would be that he might look at it as a step down after City, be less motivated and put his feet up a little bit. Don't know - I may be reading it wrong.
  4. Personally I think he was very good for us. Maybe not a great, but certainly a very good player. I think that those that cite his disciplinary record probably need to weigh that in relation to his job on the field. Vic was there to protect the back four, make tackles and break up the play. By the very nature of his job, he was highly likely to get cards, because he was the one harrying and tackling - which he was very, very good at. Ok, not the greatest passer, but really not the worst either. To put it into perspective, look at probably one of the best English midfielders in the last 20 years, Paul Scholes, great passer of the ball, very good striker of the ball, but couldn't tackle for toffee. Different players have different jobs. Thank him for all he did for us, wish him well (apart from when we meet again), and move on.
  5. Good point. If it does a 'Blue screen of death' in the technical area, somebody is going to need to reboot - could get messy...!

  9. Big decision for Kasper then, playing champions league or mid table mediocrity. Difficult one that. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk

We played well against a very poor Russian side and failed to beat them. Wales will be licking their lips at the prospect of playing us. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk

  17. Never thought I would, but yeah.... Moyes.... oooohhhh eerrrrrr, keep talking, I'm listening. What everybody else said (seems to make sense). Would probably be keen to do better than Everton as well...

  24. Well this thread has kept me entertained for the last couple of days, loving the meltdown by some. Can I be the first to say "Thanks very much Ron and good luck in your new job". At the end of the day, the guy came to us and did a bloody great job. Remember the 'Ready for training' tweet, no players it would appear - but he sorted it, and then went on to give us probably the two best seasons we've had in many years. He has no affinity to SFC (nor should he) he is a professional football manager, it's merely a job to him. Absolutely nothing wrong in listening to other job offers, and if one comes up that is too good to turn down - then do what everybody else would do - take it. It's just another chapter in supporting SFC, people come, people go - we go on. Why all the vitriol is beyond me, while he was here, he worked hard and took us to that next level - we should be thanking him. Everton are a decent club, new owner who appears to want to throw some money into it, personally I say good luck to both Ron and Everton. All of that said, come the end of next season, I naturally hope that we sit above them in the table as we have done this year. No point looking back now - look to the future, a new manager and new challenges.
