I have voted. If I posted for every vote I cast this thread would be longer than the Pompey Take Over thread...!!!

Don't know if it was in response to this thread, but just heard a Saints fan from Bournemouth phone 5 Live 606, commending all elements of the club, NC, NA and all of the backroom staff got a mention. Good call until he said that we should/would be playing European football next season...!!!! At which point Mr Greene saw fit to politely curtail the call. I think a few people are counting poultry far, far too early.

Couldn't agree more, his recent form has been awesome and I really hope he comes back to huant them. Chappers to score, I hope.

I vote for BFS.

Yes, but to be fair, another Boro fan has quickly responded to him by posting in reply: "Please stop. Ricky Lambert is a very good player. Also we could kill for a 'slightly more technical version of Heskey' You sound bitter; take defeat wih grace." So it's not a general concensious by any means.

I did venture across for a quick read a while ago, mainly because I thought the original post was a wind up. I honest cannot believe that it took a meeting of 6 people to decide that they needed new sanitory conditions. If I go to any major venue event that host 10 - 15 k punters, the very least I would expect is to find working toilets ffs. Mind you, as you say, the thread is really quite comical now - but I'm really beginning to feel quite sorry for them if fitting new loos, moving the bloody clock and throwing in a large screen tv is seen as major improvements to their infrastructure - and improvements that have to be considered in stages due to the budget. They whole thing, while funny to the outsider, is totally bizarre.

Dan Seaborne incident - closed. ____________ Move on.

Not stricly true, they need time & they need money - Sven took lots of money, therefore he never got the time.

Talented or not - he is a complete knob.

Is this thread for real, do we really have such helmet fans?
-
Not sure Jim - but having a google around and as far as I can see it means the jury are still out. I also had a look at POL as well and the poster (Moderator) that Corp Ho refers to has since retracted / deleted whatever statement he made and has also closed the thread - make of that what you will. Personally I really couldn't care either way, they will lose six points automatically - when they play us.
-
No I wouldn't like to join you - it's a civil war, not some political cock measuring contest.

Being a bit of a chicken I wouldn't like to say. But when we were perrennial 'drop dodgers' during many of our Premiership years, I always used to point to the last ten games as opposed to the first ten - still 30 points to go for. I think this year will be the same - good first 10, but let's wait and see where we are with ten to go - if we are still in the mix then, perhaps I'll start to really believe.

You shouldn't - the two disasters are not interlinked in the factors that directly caused them. In the case of Hillsborough the disaster was caused by human failure(s), as Kraken above stated - see the Taylor report. Heysel was caused by the stadium itself failing - two completely different things. I think you'll find that if you read the report into the Heysel Stadium - there were actually concerns raised about holding a major sporting event at the venue due to its delapidated state. Although football related tragedies - their main causes are fundementally different.

Premier League clubs in wanting to end promotion/relegation shocker
Micky replied to farawaysaint's topic in The Lounge
Errrr. it is already like that. There are only 4 teams that have won the Premiership, 4! And ManU have won it most years since it's inception. How much more boring could it get. This year, ManC might challenge them - could then be 5 clubs that have won it. ManC have spent somewhere in the region of 1 billion pounds in the last 2-3 years in order to achieve this. I can see Wigan, Blackburn, Everton and Bolton all challenging as well in the next few coming seasons - really, I can. -
Errr, you started it...! Hopefully though your source was more creditable than this: http://fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=379354

Dunno what all the fuss is about, Sky thought we were that good they told everybody that we'd won it: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11095_7244107,00.html Cool.
