Errr it is rarely implied, generally it is stated as fact...!

Lost my mum to Cancer many years ago Darren and it hurts to this day - it will never stop hurting. But when times are bad I still turn to and talk to her, she may not be able to speak back, but I know what she would say, even now she gives me the strength to get through the bad times. The pain may not go away, but neither will the great memories that you have of her. Sincere condolences to you Darren. RIP Valerie.

Sweepstake on the number of replys before thread closed...?? 32.

Rarely do I visit 'rant threads' - but for once I have to say that I concur.

No change for me. Didn't expect promotion pre AP, don't see that changing now.

This. Personally I'm quite encouraged that the people 'throwing buns' are from the other clubs involved, whilst we maintain dignity. Nice also to see a few Cherries fans here tonight - welcome to you all, good luck for the season - any recent sightings (news of) our mutual friend LLS/LLC aka Mr Marc(k) Jackson...?

Sheffield Wednesday 24hrs from administration

Ohhh yeah - course it was - we lost the replay at their place didn't we. Sorry, must have had a 'blonde' moment there. -

Got to feel a bit for them, the amount (in footballing terms) appear paltry really - sign of the times I guess. Always liked Wednesday, always seemed like a good family club, decent fans - got to wish them well and hope they get out of it. I believe that they share in a little bit of our history in the fact that they were the club to play in the last FA Cup game at the Dell, which we won 3 - 1 (if memory serves). Mind you we then got drawn against Tranmere, which is probably best forgotten...! -
That is not good news, look at how it transpired for William Hague and his aide when they were holed up in a hotel.... bad karma man, real bad...! Edit: Doooh beaten to the punch by Trousers - but they do say great minds think alike.
-
So very true, mind you theres a pretty decent guy by the name of Alan Pardew not doing much these days - he would fit the bill - dooooooh...!
-
If this is the case perhaps you didn't make your point very well, or are you implying that we are just all as thick as mince...?
-
Is there anything to this thread or is it just 4 pages of shyte - I read the OP and half a page after that but really can't be assed to read the rest to see if it is anything but cr@p.

It's actually quite strange in that a lot of the people that I work with come from all over the United Kingdom and I quite regualary 'talk football' with them. Yet not one has actually mentioned this action by The Sun - it would appear that not that many people actually care...!
-
Lets be honest, good or bad, The Sun has probably afforded us many more inches because of this ban than they ever would have without it. Personally I tend to liken this 'spat' to 2 children fighting over one toy and really couldn't give a toss either way to be frank.
-
Shyte Wes - you've almost cheered me up tonight. Glad to see somebody who can take the positives from a bad situation, so we are still alive and kickin' eh.
-
I note that you rarely post, perhaps you should keep it so.
-
Indeed - it is rarely dull supporting this fooball club..!

Statement from Nicola Cortese essential now.....
Micky replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
The problem is that a statement would probably be to the effect that '...we continue our search for a new management team...' and little more. We already know that - it would do nothing to aleviate anyones concerns right now. Our concerns will only deminish once the new manager is unvielled - dependant, of course, on who that may be...! -
My how things change. We ended last year on a high, just missing out on the play offs, but still had a great day out at Wembley - the mood was good and the expectations were high. Roll forward 4 months and how things have changed. What was meant to be 'our' year, the year in which we celebrate 125 years of this great club is slowly turning from outrageously optimistic to a total nightmare. With the sad passing of Markus still fresh in the mind, we have made a slow start in the league, the management team are sacked, and the one trophy that we have managed to win in some years is, tonight, ripped from our grasp in front of a meagre crowd at SMS. So, what are your expectations now - is this really turning into the Annus Horribilus that we all dread, or will we turn this one around and find the promised land of the CCC?
-
Never thought we would make promotion with Pardew, now he's gone I think we will probably be further away still.
-
Oh dear, horse, stable door, bolted - and all that....

Which managers will you hang around for...????

So now NC wants us to defend JPT, indeed fully focused on the it
Micky replied to 1976_Child's topic in The Saints
He could of taken the 'we don't give a stuff about the JPT competition even though 60 odd thousand fans made the trip to Wembley last season to see us win it' line. Frankly I'm pretty glad he took the line he did. -
Forgive me for being a thick shyte - but can somebody please explain what this thread is all about, it has gone right over me. Or is it just a cheap 'points scoring', 'I told you so', 'I was right' thread...? Sorry - totally confused.
