  1. To be fair Steve, a lot of the pages have old or no content at all - they need addressing. As somebody else has alluded to, seeing yesterdays news on the site does nothing to promote new users. I think Colins suggestion is worth consideration - would lighten the load on those currenly trying to run this beast. If people are willing to contribute, most pages could probably be kept 'current' with an article a week - worth considering I think, if it is going to enhance the site and draw new users. Please note though - this is not a dig, appreciate all of the efforts of those who run this, merely an opinion. Thanks.
  2. Ahhhhh, perhaps not quite so simple then. Whatever, I tried, I failed - back to work for me....
  3. Thanks Ron - here PFC, try this, it's fairly easy to understand.
  4. Benji, if I was you I would save your breath. It has been explained over nearly 700 pages and yet still they cannot grasp it - sometime you just have to accept that you are flogging a dead horse. Was good to see FC back on here after a period of abscence (where have you been Frank...!!!) putting a very succinct summary of events up - yet still people can't or won't grasp all that was bad with the whole 'business' plan. I honestly believe that most fans would now just shove thier heads up thier asses and not give two hoots as to how the club is run so long as it resulted in yet more 'glory days'.
  5. Sometimes I just absolutely dispair, sorry words fail me...
  6. Exactly - Newcastle United - MASSIVE club that has won the square root of sh@gshyte in the last, what 6 - 7 decades, now looking to offload the Manager that got them promoted (at the first attempt?) - some people are never satisfied...!!!
  7. How the hell can they contemplate sacking the guy that got them to the Premiership where they now sit in the top half (9th I think).
  8. Best get on now - not a lot of call of Blue Square fans on TV these days...!
  9. This in itself is actually quite funny. So AA now maintains that they are not about to go under, but 'due to frustration' they thought that it would be a good idea to issue a statement to their fans saying that they could be liquidated within days...! Does anybody actually know WTF is going on...???
  10. PES - you're right, I am...... and lovin it.....!!! I'm laughing my ass of right now - especially as good old Ho came on this afternoon to try and wind us all up again (my how I bet he wishes he'd just STFU...!). Seriously though, good luck to you - I'm sure you will find a way out, you have up to now, so keep on wriggling...!
  11. To be fair, what did you expect him to say. Like many in the football spotlight, what they say and what they are actually thinking is two completely different kettles of fish (and yes, I meant the pun..!). He is hardly going to come out and say 'great, I hope they go to the wall, let them die' on national television. Personally I like people who tell it like it really is and speak thier minds, the Robbie Savages and Stan Collymores of this world. You will probably find that quite a lot of people inside football are secretly actually enjoying their plight and willing them to get sucked under - it's just that they cannot make that known publicly. You only have to look at Danny Murphys recent comments where he was actually brave enough to name names to realise that football is quite a close knit community, they like to be seen as all sticking togeather - even though it is fairly obvious that they cannot stand one another.

  13. No change. They are bleating again, blaming Gaydamak for all of thier current woes - a deal will be done and they will be allowed to continue. Hence Nick and his 'they have got away with it' remains valid input.

  15. Unfortunately though - the truth is that they probably will. I think that it is unlikely that they will go bust, a deal will be struck at the 11th hour and they will continue on thier merry way. Personally I think the lastest statement has been released purely to force the Gay guys hand, and by so doing they will finally shake off administration. All of that said though - it would appear that they are treading a very thin line, one day shouting from the rooftops that they are nearly out of administration (and thus trading normally), to the next where they claim to not have the means the get through to next week. They will get out of this, and survive - but there is more to come yet.

  17. Ahhhh right - that explains it all, so none of this was in fact PFC's fault in the first place. BTW, you really should think about a career in Insolvency or Finance, the way you 'manipulated the figures' and 'slanted the reasoning' was, frankly, stunning. Personally now, having read your account of this whole sorry debacle, I would like to offer my unreserved apology to all of your supporters for any distress that you may have suffered. The FL should look favourably about re-imbursing the 9 points that they took from you last season - I believe they should be added to this seasons total, so as not to disadvantage you any further. Hopefully as well, the FA will be looking to cancelling this years cup competition, which I hope will be awarded to PFC as a token of all fans appreciation of your loss. Furthermore, the transfer embargo needs to be lifted now. Any debt figures should be wiped from the history books and the FL should reimburse you for all of the star players that you were forced to sell in order to try to survive. On behalf of fans everywhere - I really would like to say sorry for getting this so so wrong.
  18. None as far as I can see - is that what you have done...?
  19. Errr without a doubt, this. I'm prepared for yet more years in this league and yet more managerial changes before we actually achieve promotion, the sooner the 'money myth' is kicked the better - it is giving everybody false expectations which results in nothing but constant pressure. Teams that play with no pressure to achieve - probably outfits like Bournemouth, Brighton and Blackpool.
  20. You're absolutely correct - if, as has been mooted, these players wages are beyond the 10k pw wage cap that was imposed by the club in order to give it best chance of meeting the CVA and remaining stable, then questions should be asked. If this all goes Pete Tong again - then the fans have no one to blame but themselves this time - they now have the chance to question the running of the club but appear only interested in the glory once again.
  21. Yeah there has been a fair amount of stalling going on all round. Reading between the lines, I actually think that they went to the FL with 'the plan' that they wanted and hoped that they might somehow get it approved. But I also think that they knew this might happen and so have had 'plan B' ready and waiting just in case. The problem for Chainrai is that he is backed into a corner and has nowhere else to go unfortunately. He would now appear to be the 'proud' owner of a club that he just doesn't really want. They next problem for him is 'stick', 'twist' or 'bust' - is he willing to put more money in in order to keep the club on an even footing, invest heavily in the hope of promotion, or try to run the club as a going concern based on current incomings and revenue? Wouldn't like to be in his shoes right now.
  22. You'll probably have to wait some time for that, but credit where credit is due, unlike others, he at least has taken all of our jibes in very good humour. One that you wouldn't mind going for a drink with methinks.
  23. All too confusing for me, 2 hours ago they were dead and buried because AA said that there was no way in a month of sundays that they would be able to meet the FL requirements. Went out for a chinese, got back to find out that they now have new owners in place for tomorrows game. 'Tis a strange, strange world.....
  24. It would appear the Liverpool takeover has been or is very near to being completed in the High Court. Whilst the two cases may be somewhat disimilar, it only goes to prove that if you have a viable, stable business with the right asetts in place it does not take long to find a buyer. On the other hand - if you have nothing of any potential worth, buyers might be just a little harder to find.
