Hartlepool 0 - 0 Saints - Post Match Reaction Thread
Micky replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Absolute toss - missed opportunity to make up ground. Don't give a monkeys that others drew as well - it was our chance to win, gain points on them, put pressure on them and show some intent. We failed to do that - look at it as a good point if you like, but personally when I see Brighton knock in their 4th goal in the 90th minute I do wonder about the mentality of the two teams. We, supposedly, are the Man City of this league, whilst they are the Blackpool - just goes to show, riches will not necessarily bring you success. Hacked off tonight. -
Ormerod has now scored in every division for Blackpool!

Well done Brett - shows what hard work and endeavour can achieve even if your not the most technically gifted... -
Bournemouth draw and we fail to capitalize upon it - shyyyyytteeeee.!
-
Jason Dodd did at SMS I think - can't remember the opposition though...

The simple answer is to go here and ask: http://www.ibaseuk.com/12.html This man knows all the clubs that are for sale - full credibility assured - you'll get all the answers you need right there....
-
Exactly - they could end up doing a 'Blackpool', nobody gave them an earthly - well look at me now.....
-
And Plymouth are docked 10 points - you couldn't make it up.....
-
Real 'in-depth' reporting there then, wtf was all that about? About as insightful and hard hitting as bloody rogue traders - pathetic.
-
God - this is sickening - but at least you now know that nobody else is particulary that interested in the fluster cluck. Perhaps time to end this thread now - this whole circus has been a travesty from beginning to end.
-
16 appearances and no goals in what is a fairly poor league - strange. It's the kind of place I would of thought he would of relished, perhaps he's got his retirement boots on.
-
Sign of Champions - apparently.
-
Games in hand, fine - points in the bag - much, much better.
-
I can see 1 - 2 coming - but that's just 40+ years of being a saints fan...!

If Deppo did a podcast it would be the shortest podcast in the world, maybe the funniest - but definately the shortest as well....

Biased or just blind....! If you thought that he came across with any credibility to the middle ground punters then you're sadley mistaken. As for Paxman, well I've rarely seen him so disinterested, as somebody else said he actually looked like he couldn't believe that your man was getting air time, especially alongside the Mubarak / Egypt headlines. If that was your big advertisment for the EDL, then I think most right minded people will probably steer clear, or at least do a little more research before commiting themselves.
-
Can't say that I know too much about the EDL to be honest - but having now read this thread, watched the documentary and a few other vids, this one is about as close to the mark as I can find: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiQQ3VSmxFQ&feature=related I'll be joining tomorrow.....

Right so who's got the humble pie, just a small slice here please...! Did well to turn it around I guess, and to score in the 90th is a good sign too, still not as convincing as I would like - but 3 points is 3 points. Well done NA and the lads.

K'nell lads - which one is it...???? !!!!!

Sadly I think that this actually has quite a lot to do with our problems, similar to the same problem that Leeds faced when they tried to get out of this league. I still think that some of the players think that we are the big 'I am', and we only have to turn up. It doesnt work - the sooner we realise that we have to roll our sleeves up and scrap to get out - the better.
-
Big 45 minutes coming up. Both Brighton and Bournemouth are winning games for fun, we are struggling, especially away from home. It's all very well pointing to games in hand, but ask any football manager and they will tell you that they would rather have points on the board. We need to seriously up our game a level or else this race will be over long before the season is.
-
Gardening Leave I believe, still waiting for the big break.

Whilst your points are all well made, valid and probably obvious to most, you need to read PES, above. Apparrently the blue few don't give a toss about what they do or how they achieve 'success'. Cup wins are where its all at, no matter how you achieve those wins, the record will show that they are the most superior team on the south coast - having won loads of cups irrespective of the consequences. THEY DONT ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT **** ALL ELSE. Do I care that the record shows them to be much better than us - not a ****in' jot. Like you, I can look at our troubled times, strangely with some pleasure now, knowing that we at least tried to do it the right way. So, yeah you can keep your cups and all that, forget the gun running, money laundering, charity cheating and general lies and deciept, and go and win yet more trophies - I care not a jot. Rivalry is one thing and long should it remain in the game - but lets not forget about decency as well, eh.

Thanks, oh and sorry...!
