  6. May we bridge jump if we loose....?????
  7. I think that the only assumption that I can make is that if we have had the most amount of shots on target for all 4 divisions, surely it should follow that we should have scored the most goals in all 4 divisions as well. If not - it would point to the fact that our 'finishing' is not a good as some others.
  8. I based my view on what was written on the match thread and a 10 word post from somebody at the match. That is why I use the forum - in order to try to guage (from afar) how we are doing.
  9. Well said that man, it's time to give the classroom back to the teachers. I hear far too many horror stories of the state of our schools today - it's frightening. I was both caned and slippered - geeze it hurt - but I bloody well deserved it every time it happened. It taught me a lesson in life, be more respectful of others, especially your elders and don't act like a tool. Had we had them in my day - I'm fairly sure that had a teacher thought that my mobile phone was distracting me from the lesson - then it would have been confiscated, placed on a bench, hit with a hammer and returned in a bag. There is an awful lot to be said for 'old school' teaching and I take my hat off to you for supporting your childrens teachers, even when disciplining your own.
  10. That was me being negative - we were two nil down, at home (allegedly in a 'must win' game). I don't have radio solent, so have to rely on this forum alone to bouy me - somebody at the game posted that the players looked lathargic and uninterested and that it was shyte. Therefore I reserve the right to be bloody negative - any fan would be - it sounded like a horror show. How many on here would really have put any money on us turning it around - honestly. Yes I was negative - I apologise - I am a negative ****. Mindy you - Deppo is still a mong (sometimes).
  11. Deppo - you are being a mong.
  12. Phhheeeewwwwwwwwww........
  13. I shut up.... I know nothing about football....
  14. A lot can happen between now and the end of the season - but how many times have we failed to kick on, to take chances when other teams have dropped points. When you compare our squad and resources to Brighton (who win, win, win - consistantly), you can see when people get despondant. Call me pesimistic, but I can see the worse coming....
  15. You just know that Bournemouth will beat us in the final - it's going to happen....
  16. Good read - 73K fans - will be interesting to see the attendance this year. Good luck to Carlisle though.
  17. The last 'orange ball' game at The Dell V Liverpool.
  18. Legend.
  19. What all them said.... ^^^^^^^^^^^
  20. Would tend to agree - did my half badge some years ago - was not an easy course. Think we had about 32 on the course and about a third of them failed, as I recall most (I think) failed one, or both of the written exams.

    Redundancy

Depends on how long the OF's have worked for the company though. Generally speaking, the longer they have worked the better redundancy package they would be entitled to, so it may be an attractive proposition to them. However, if they don't want to accept a voluntary package there is little you can do. You should also remember, that although you are younger, if they have worked there for a long period of time, then surely they are good at their jobs also. My son has been made redundant twice, from joinery firms, and a lot of the older guys were kept on. Don't want to sound negative about this for you, but age may not come into it at the end of the day.

    Redundancy

I don't know that there is such a LIFO rule as such, it is just a sort of unofficial 'loyalty' policy that many companys seem to adopt. Most (big) companies will look to offer voluntary redundancies first and then look to see what other cuts are necessary. Obvioulsy the overriding factor in all of this is money, and therefore they will look to save money in areas where productivity is not (necessarily) affected. So it all depends on what sort of company that you work for and what your job role is really. All of that said, last year, my company made two small departments redundant and basically just 'farmed' the work that they did onto the remaining staff. Naturally, as everybody else was fearful of losing thier jobs, nobody really complained, but it has caused major problems in many areas. Hope you manage to hang on to your job though - good luck.
  24. Seriously though there is an article in The Sun (I know...) that I skimmed on Monday, I have it here in front of me now and it states that almost a fifth of drivers have been forced off the road due to rising petrol prices. It states that: On one stretch of the M1 traffic volumes have halved in a year There are 500k few cars in London charge zone There is a 52% fall in delays on M1 Leicester to Sheffield I am currently working in Germany, yesterday I was in the garage across from my hotel and there was a truck filling up - I glanced at the guage to see it reading 866 euros and still rising. Petrol here is generally a little cheaper than over there - but it is little wonder that traffic figures are falling at the moment. Ohh I was also listening to the news yesterday, and one of the items covered was about a builder who could not afford to drive to work, and so was living in the back of his van 4 nights a week - but saving a week (I think) £600.00 by doing so.
  25. I'll just drive around England and have a look for you..... Back soon....
