On that point I agree with you - it probably would be the final nail in the relegation coffin. The thing is though - I don't think a points deduction will happen either. For some reason that I cannot fathom, up to now there seems to have been no end of people, banks, institutions who appear to have been happy to throw them a few (million) quid as they have lurched through this. The only 'attraction' that I can see about PFC at the moment is the fact that they have Premiership status - after that they are pretty much a bargain basement investment opportunity. That said - it would appear that thier current status is indeed enough to have people falling over themselves to loan them money to get by. I also wonder if the FA would step in to assist (ala WHU?) as I don't actually think that it would be in their best interest to have one of their members going into administration. But as I said before - the Premiership is littered with poor teams now. Given their start PFC should have been cut adrift from the rest of the strugglers - but although they are still bottom, they are more than in with a chance of survival. I think that if they get out of the bottom 3 (which is not unlikely) it will be a massive boost to the players and they will go on from there. Mind you, as you have said - administration leading to a nine point deduction would almost certainly see them relegated.

Likewise - and because I have been with them for so long I have a contract rate which no longer exists and will not be beaten by other providers (or Orange themselves for that matter). I often get cold called by 3rd party providers touting for business and none can match my current contract. On the very few occasions that I have called Orange CS, they have been fine - no problems whatsoever. Occasional coverage problems yes, but as somebody who works in telecomms, I know that all providers have similar problems.

No beating about the bush there then - although I totally disagree with the sentiment(s) of the post entirely. Contrary to being no more very soon, I actually think that they will get out of the mess that they are in and they will survive in the Premier League as well. There are probably a whole host of Premiership Managers who have been very happy for Pompey to take the heat in the first two months of the season. Because of thier start, no points in 7 games, Paul Harte took all of the media shyte, whilst other managers got away with it. Looking at the table now though - there are some woeful sides in the Premier League who have hardly made any better starts in reality. The likes of Hull, Blackburn etc have not 'cashed in' on Pompeys dismal performances so far. Given the poor sides in the Prem and the fact that one 'dark horse' (NUFC last year) will also normally fall into the mix (WHU maybe) - I think that the Blue Few will be ok. So bad is the Premier League another 6 points and they woud be mid table...! So whilst they lurch from one disaster to another, which I fully enjoy watching, I really don't think that they will cease to exist in the very near future, I really don't. Rivalry yes, but outright hatred - lifes too short - I'll pass if you don't mind.

Exactly - hence I would be more than a little disappointed if he was give a chance to ply his trade at SFC once released. Why should our clubs customers be the one that pays his over exorbinate fees, which in turn appears to fuel his total disregard for anybody who he feels is 'not in his league'. Thanks, but no thanks. All of that said - somebody, somewhere will give him a chance I feel. So fickle are we, and so disregarding of others misfortune, there will be a club who see the chance of getting him on the cheap who will jump at the chance. Don't forget - he will probably be out in time for the start of next season, so I'll wager he's playing somewhere.

I think in such cases, most rationale people would agree that what he did was very, very wrong - however, he does deserve a second chance. The question is though, once released, will this be his second chance, or is it his third, perhaps fourth, maybe fifth...? Just how much slack do you want to cut a guy huh...?

That part was always due for review. In light of thier current financial footing I believe they have come up with a cunning plan in that, they are going to do it the other way around and build a rubbish tip on top of the current stadium. Genius..!

Allow me to interpret. The Skates are so p i s s e d off at the huge pile of s h y t e in which they currently lie, they have decided to take action. Not being the brightest of fans, they don't really know who to blame, and so they are going to take retribution on their own insomuch that the Stewards are going to get a right good kickin' during the Wigan game. Or words to that effect - my skate is not fluent, but passable. HTH..!

I once helped to organise 2 training matches between Leeds and Harrogate Railway, amongst those playing were Gary Speed, Gary Mac, Rod Wallace, Lee Chapman and a certain WGS as well. Have to say that they were all great to me (perhaps the fact that I was hosting them had something to do with it), but as a result I actually have a bit of a soft spot for Leeds Utd.

Steve William - could have achieved MLT like status, but the lure of the boyhood club was too great, shame really - but understandable at the same time. More recently, probably Dean Richards although that might well be due to ill health rather than form. To be honest, I am not surprised that the likes of Gareth, Chris and Drew are no more than bit part players now. All are young - it's quite a step up to the big league so perhaps they have time to impress yet.

The man sounds confused to me - agreed we scored 3 goals but didn't think the score was 3 - 1. Apparently you can just 'forget about the last goal' - is this a new rule that I'm not aware of...????

There are lots of contributor that I miss, some made me laugh, some made me cry, some made me smile others made me frown, occasionally some made me sit up and think. I have never felt the need to hit the 'ignore' button on anybody posting here, even though our views might be at opposite ends of the polar spectrum, or fisticuffs had been threatened during the course of the (ehem) 'debate'. I suppose, a bit like radio presenters - who you never really get to see - I try to put a face to the poster, and then try to build up some sort of impression of the person with whom I am sharing this space. I try to guess their age and profession etc. I happen to know with one particular poster I got this wildly wrong - but there you go, the 'voice' behind the radio show is rarely the 'face' that you expected - is it? I liked Um, found Navys stuff intersting, dispaired of Stanley, hated Tommac and laughed my ass off at Life Long Saint - but the bottom line was - they all (in thier own ways) contributed to this forum. Anybody remember Roman - worked in the TV industry I believe - always made well grounded and informed points, whatever happened to him? I've sparred with a few during my time here - unfortunately I never get to games, (shyte) so have to rely on the few televised oportunities to make any sort of real infomed opinion, and as a result my options for credible debate are a little limited. That said I have enjoyed bantering with many here, Delldays, Alpine, The Nicks, Phil and Derry (more width please) - so long may it continue. I also love to read the very quick wit of a few here, Benjii, FTF, Hypo and Verbal all spring to mind - I tend to stear clear of giving these guys ammo. There are so many on here that contribute and it is unfortuate when somebody decides that they no long want to 'hang out'. But that said - I also think that life is too short to let what somebody, whom I have never met, nor am I likely to meet, influence whether or not I post on an internet forum. As I said - I have not (nor am I likely to) ever put a poster on ignore - I am thick skinned enough to let that which I do not agree with wash over me, whilst enjoying those posts from the 'usual suspects'. Keep posting everyone - thanks.

Jeeezzeeee - so are we all in love again now, what was all that about - wrong time of month for everybody...? It's a forum, room for free speech, many different opinions (different being the operative word), but it ain't worth loosing any sleep over. BTW - would anybody PM me if I made it public that I wanted to leave - I feel I need a dose of 'sympathy via PM' - c'mon, get typing or I'm outta here...!
