  1. Nothing more than the harsh reality of life. Although it will probably not suite most of the agendas here - I would actually prefer that Lowe adopts this demenour when it is appropriate. Most successful business people probably have that mean streak in them - used properly, I believe it to be more than acceptable.
  2. Good to see that somebody is switched to 'panaramic view' when all else appear to be using the 'blinkered' switch....
  3. Irrespective of whether true or not - and notwithstanding those who wish to label me a Lowe Luvvie again - given the (alleged) facts, are we not in danger of turning a molehill into something more formidable. And over what, two people having, what at best would appear to be, a heated disagreement. I understand that it's good fun to dig Lowe at every opportunity, but it is just getting a little boring and mundain. I would really like to know just how much the Echo invests in the club too - must be getting on for what - eerrr - nothing. At the moment, as I see it, two adults had a disagreement, a sharp exchange of words and probably a short term falling out. Big deal.
  4. Exactly - hardly rocket science is it, shouldn't really take too many Masters Degrees in order to work it out...!!!
  5. Took a long time coming, but my it's sweet when it does - lets just hope that this is not a false dawn, but the beginning of our escape from relegation.
  6. Should be a sell out....!
  7. Didn't Rod let us train on his football pitch at his gaff not so long ago - he obviously has a soft spot for us, must have a few bob going spare - sounds like the perfect buyer to me...!!!
  8. And I'm meant to take that as a compliment, am I...??? Better or more educated - I can't match the mighty Alps in terms of certificates I have to stick on my wall I'm afraid...!
  9. Do you know that he actually doesn't do this after the march..???
  10. Sorry I ment art - always strugel with that speling.
  11. For the record I have my 11 plus and 3 GCSE's at grade D - F, is that any good...?
  12. I would leave it til the end of the season - by then we will probably be ground sharing with Eastleigh and there will probably be some premier grade turf going cheap in the SMS Clubshop - hardly trodden (especially on the flanks) too...!!!
  13. But will moving him alone - and leaving the rest of the board in place, make that much difference...???
  14. I agree - I think that he would have at least kept us safe. That in turn would of taken some of the heat off of Lowe and he probably wouldn't be quite so vilified. Let's be honest, as fans, if we are winning, we dont give two hoots who is sitting in the boardroom. So quite perversely, had Rupert not made the decission to terminate NP's contract, he could have been sitting prettyin the Boardroom now with not a care in the world. I am not defending the current regime, but as I said - I would like to hear their side of the story. We can hang them now and find out the facts later - but what good is that. This club is in the mire - and simply getting rid of Rupert Lowe alone is probably not going to make a great deal of difference - in fact it could make the situation worse.
  15. Let's just say Harvey that I take a slightly more pragmatic view of the problem. If Lowe was gone tomorrow.... no if the whole Board was gone tomorrow then I would be as happy as a pig in the proverbial shyte. That said, and the one problem that all of those advocation '12 point plans, this plan and that plan' are currently failing to see - is that we need people to run the club. There are no investors forthcoming - therefore anybody who takes over had better be damn good at their jobs - because there is no money to play with, only the limited assets that we currently have and can afford. We will need a damn good Board to get us out of this mess - and at present I don't see anybody putting themselves forward. So, to summarise - yes lets get rid of the whole damn lot of them - and then what?
  16. Not at all Micky is here trying to work out how you have come to the conclusion that I support Rupert Lowe.
  17. Sorry - you have lost me - who have I put down?
  18. Not actually a true statement - 'anything' is plainly not better than Lowe. (But I really don't want to get into an argument about that). Benefits of him being at the club - from what I can guage (merely from reading this forum) - not a lot, other than he is the man at the helm - and he is the man making the decissions, most of which are sending us to oblivion. I would like to know both sides of the story though - I would like to hear his version of events as to how the club has crashed to this all time low. I have never met the man - however, after the farce that took place at the AGM, my estimations of those people currently occupying the Boardroom was severely dented in terms of the professionalism with which they conduct their business. If they acted as they did in public - god only knows how they are acting in private.
  19. I'm glad that you too, noted that pretty obvious flaw in the plan.
  20. Thanks Wooley - was just interested to hear that you thought the substitution was warranted, yet the management still took some stick from some of the fans.
  21. 20 points - I reckon we will have amassed that total by half way into next season - no sweat.
  22. If he's not under contract then he can go play for whoever he wishes, and it will not have been lost on lots of managers that his form has been very good this season. The onus is on the board to get him to commit to the club - not on Kelvin, he has more than proved his worth this season.
  23. Scary stats - but it matters not - I am resigned to the drop, which on the face of it is pretty crap really when there are still 42 points available. But we are so bad this season - I just cannot see us turning it around.
