Administration is not the finish though. Far from it. IF it happens we won't be the first and we won't be the last. It would undoubedtly have a serious negative effect upon the club - however, it is NOT the finish, not by a long shot. If you are a fan - then you cannot be so purely when the team are riding high. Unfortunately you have to take the lows (no pun intended) too. Things are not bright now - but who knows what will happen. If you want to support a club that wins every week then perhaps you should change allegiance to either Chelsea or Man Utd. Again - administration is a distinct possibility - the 'finish' is not..!

Just a little melodramatic there mate...! Perhaps you should define what you mean by 'finished'.

Will be interested to hear from those who were at the game. Gotta say though - expected more from the last two games - would have settled for 4 points - 2 is a pretty poor return given the circumstances.

Its not only the crowds that will dwindle - I fear more that the confidence will dwindle amongst some of our kids. A late winner today would be priceless in more ways than just 3 points, a late winner the other way could be a very significant point in our season as well...!

Yeah I know - but this shoul be the easiest game we have played thus far - therefore I would expect to take 3 points. Any of you listening to the radio - anybody know how we are actually doing...??

At home, against the bottom team in the league... loads of ambition there then. I'll settle for a 3 goal win and a clean sheet - no less...

Don't set the bar too low - somebody might trip over it...!!! Would like to seen a midtable finish giving JP and the lads (those who are left!) confidence going into next year.

Great post - perhaps should be made a sticky for all to see. Irrespective of what happens this season - I am a Saints fan - I'll be one next season after and the season after and the seas.... irrespective of where the team are playing. Scary no - exciting yes....

Sorry mate, I would hardly call that a bold statement - it's blindingly obvious based on our current form. As a previous poster has said - right now we need to concentrate on winning the 4 team mini-league at the bottom. Once we have done that - then perhaps we can re-assess the situation.

Not quite as bad as everybody expected - JP DID change things around and the lads DID come back from being one down... OK, admittedly we should be winning our home games, but Ipswich are no mugs either... Not overly disappointed with the result tonight..

Lots of pretty possession - no end product... plus we are the home team and therefore would expect to keep most of the ball...

Voice of reason at last, reading some of the stuff here you would think that there was only another 12 points available this season - way too early to be talking relegation.

Heart ruling head - a narrow win for us. Right now I'd actually settle for just a clean sheet, lets face it that would be progress for us. Big game for us and we need to make home games count.

There appears to be much discontent with some posters here - but no one seems to be giving any solutions to the problem. Are we now advocating that just 5 games in, we ditch the youngsters and revert to (whats left of) last years older pro's in the hope that it will all come good? Are we now suggesting that after 5 competitive games JP should be shown the door? Personally I think some are expecting just a little bit too much too soon - if we kick the kids out now - their confidence is likely to take quite a knock. This time last season there were many many posters here saying that the kids should be given the chance - now all of a sudden it appears that we are willing to cast them aside without a second thought.

Just a quick word from one of 'the muppets'. It appears quite acceptable for the originator to tell others to 'learn to read' yet totally unacceptable for me to tell him to 'learn to write' - double standards in the extreme. The point was (is) that it appears fine for him to chastise and abuse others, but he, for some reason is exempt. What you fail to realise, is that I, like many here are actually very interested in the 'snippet' that was being mooted. If you post here, be prepared to have people read and comment on your information. All that most of us were trying to do is validate exactly what was said, by whom, to whom. We are not doubting his claims at all - photo or no photo - who cares. Lets be honest if most of us spent the afternoon with a good source would we not have 'interogated' him for as much information as we could glean - I think so. Yes it decended into farce, and I played my part in it - but if you are going to throw insults to other posters about their reading ability - expect some back. Stick your head over the parapit, expect it to get shot at.

I listened to the first half and to be honest thought he called it about right. Before the game started he said that we would struggle with all the kids, and need to balance it a little with experience. Fair comment - 37 seconds in he was probably proved right. After that, he gave us fair dues as the team got it down and played some decent stuff. Really can't say that I heard too much that could be construed as biased opinion. More like an old pro calling it as it was. I didn't listen to the second half, but from what I heard, and subsequently saw - I would say that he called it about right.
