I agree totally with that. McQueen is a bit pacier, taller and just seems to have more to offer Saints. I'd rather keep him than Targett.
-
Yessssssssssssssssss. Get the f*** in there saints. Mark Hughes - brilliant!!!!
-
Meant to read “a bottle full of coke” damn autocorrect!!
-
But they weigh very little, and are unlikely to injure anyone. Whereas someone throwing a bottle os sat coke, weighing 500g can be thrown a long way, with pace, and could probably kill someone if it hit them around their head....

I’ve seen 2 league wins this season - the two West’s... couldn’t make Everton due to work. Two wins all season....simply shocking. I missed Leicester home last season, so Since Christmas 2016 I’ve seen us win 3 home games I think.
-
Come on Saints, today is the day you simply MUST win. Nothing else will do. Win, and the momentum MIGHT just see us do just enough to dig us out of this hole we are in. Lose - the fat lady will be on the doorstep warming up her vocal chords.... You owe it to us suffering fans to turn in a win - that means no Lemina in the squad please - I saw how much you cared last week, you lazy ***t. Come on Saints...
-
The only time Saints and Barcelona get mentioned in a thread?! Have a fab time - lovely place to be

Home to West Ham. Our penalty right at the death was dodgy. Yes it was a foul, but soft as, and if it was given against us there would have been outcry... So there is one example in our ‘unfair’ bank...

Lemina yesterday was an absolute insult to the Saints fans. He walked around, didn’t make runs, didn’t run back, didn’t offer himself at throw ins, he did nothing. We were playing with ten with him on the pitch! In a school report it would be:- Potential - 8/10 Actual - 2/10 Effort - 0/10 All players have poor games, but to not actually bother putting any effort in, during an FA cup semi at Wembley? Unforgivable. Hope he doesn’t play for us again. As for the others - wtf was going on in the first half? No wing backs overlapping, we would get a throw and no one offered themselves, no movement, no anything! It was a dreadful first half performance. And people wonder why the fans were so, umm, quiet? Give us something to cheer and we wil....

As a season ticket holder last year I endured the most boring, entertainment free season ever. The Football was absolutely dire at St Mary’s. As it has been this year. Football is an entertainment industry, for two years at home, there has been none. Puel and Pellegrino had us playing boring, turgid, possession without purpose Football. No goals, no enjoyment, no nothing. I watched it, paid to watch it, and myself and the kids hated it. My own eyes saw it and it was sheeite. Those who defend Puel and say we don’t know how good we had it clearly never watched us at home. I did, and my opinion was, and still is, the last two seasons at home have been terrible, valueless tripe. Les Reed and his awful recruitment I realise have not helped either, but yes men managers and lack of balls/steel/direction/ have doomed us to where we are now.
-
Yes, and Leicester were roundly booed off at the end. I don’t believe Puel will be there next season, they’ll bin him, because, as you point out, the anti entertainment possession football is not popular with the fans...

This is it really. No way we are stealing this. Terrible, dull, performance. No effort, no skill, no running, no anything Dogsh1te. Most of them just don't care. Sums up the club really - owner doesn't care, chairman doesn't care, the useless Reid doesn't care. Woeful.

Davis on, JWP off !! Why?

(If we go down) what will you miss about the Premierleague?
vectraman replied to Wiggles31's topic in The Saints
I will miss the excitement and anticipation of us making a new classy signing, who we all hoped would be the next big thing. None of us had a clue who they were normally, but the hope and expectation normally outweighed reality!! Memories - handing Arsenal their arses on a plate on Boxing Day 4-0, the fab Liverpool at home comeback and Koemans reaction, Wembley and the performance there last season, putting 8 past Sunderland, Manés record breaking hat trick etc No Leeds or Cardiff fans at St Mary’s - total w4nkers the lot of them, sadly about to change... Pochettino and has high press exciting game style, Koemans amazing end of season run. All of the above were amazing memories, and may not be repeated or bettered for a very long time now. To be replaced with:- A sale of almost all of our players so mr silent can get most of his money back. Nutters going on about how brilliant it will be to play academy players and do away with the foreign mercenaries. It won’t be. It will be terrible. Harrison Reed and Gallagher being viewed as the returning saviours- a season of long and deep disappointment awaits if that is next seasons reality. More Sunderland than Villa I rather fear... -
Totally agree. The days of a neutral venue, great atmosphere and a great day out Are long gone. Slowly, but surely, football upper echelon greed is eating itself
-
We didn’t deserve to lose today. Played with some heart, made some chances, even stuck two away. Defensively though we are so fragile. That is going to cost us in the end. Arsenal looked average, got away with it though. Gives me hope for the 6 remaining games if we play with the same conviction...

Another criticism I have levelled at our squad is lack of pace. We must have had the slowest starting 11 in premier league history on the field yesterday. Our recruitment had been negligent to say the least. Nothing done to plug the attacking midfielder hole that we can all see but Les Reed could not.
-
Positivity from the manager. Makes me more positive too - a comfortable 3-1 win, followed by sad West Ham muppets rioting afterwards. Come on Saints let’s do this
-
Our best 3 signings since returning to the premier league
vectraman replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Mané, VVD, Alderweirald. -
Is there anything good we can say about Pellegrino?
vectraman replied to whelk's topic in The Saints
Nice bloke, bit of a c()nt. -
Great save mcarthy. Keeps us alive.
-
Our defence looks weak. Cedric was cr4p last week, and continues his form. Despite what others may think, Stephens and Hoedt are not good enough to start together. Newcastle looking to get between them - Benitez has done his homework on our defence. Unfortunately.

Top five negatives about saints at the moment.
vectraman replied to norwaysaint's topic in The Saints
1) safety first totally boring tactics for 2 seasons at home 2) two successively boring, defensive managers 3) we always go cheap and unemployed when we hire a manager - get what we pay for 4) board not realising out attacking options are ****e for 2 years 5) downgrade of squad quality for two years, replacing quality with meh. Eg we’ve gone from fab defence to crap defence. -
And for exactly that reason, I foolishly expected us to start against Stoke with Carrillo and Gabbiadini playing up front together. Just shows how totally lacking in football knowledge I am... I mean, why would I think us playing two up front together, and resulting in a goal, actually mean we would try it again... I’ve been saying all season we need to play two forwards, especially against the poorer sides, but no, our goon of a manager wants to play defensive and stop the opposition from having a look in. The game that summed up how much of a boring tw*t our current incumbent I’d was the Brighton game. They were shocking, there for the taking, and we played ultra defensive against them. Clueless buffoon.
