  1. We just didn't look up for the fight. Fairplay to Leicester though, they stuck with Pearson and the results came. What we need to remember as fans is most teams haven't performed this season like they should. Spurs, Man City, Liverpool as a few examples. RoKo had us playing at our maximum level imo for around 3/4 of the season, and has done a great job. As I have previously said, it might have been better if our results were in reverse order this season, then there would have been no Champions League talk and a strong finish to this season. Anyway, it's a disappointing end and leaves me thinking 'what if', but at the end of the day we were never going to perform consistently all season, very few teams do. I'm confident we will qualify for Europa, bring in some decent players in the summer and go again next year. I imagine the aim is Top 6, but we've seen how difficult it is to achieve and next season will be tougher. I'd be happy with 9th or above and a run in the knockout stages in Europe.
  2. I said last season we would need to bring in around 10 new players. A few accused me of being ridiculous, but it ended up happening. If (sadly it's become if) we make Europa League, we will need a big squad. This summer, assuming Toby, MS, Elia, Clyne and Djuricic are not here, we need at least 9. Two new gk, rb, cb, dm, 2 wide players and two strikers. We need to get a deal done for Ings asap now Burnley are down. I would also take Trippier from them.
  3. Did anything happen from 70 mins onward? I was too angry to continue watching, poorest performance of the season by some distance.
  4. We would have been better off if our season's results had been in reverse. Would have avoided all the embarassing top four talk. Looks like the players can't wait for the season to end.
  5. Not bothered about Gazzaniga, we know he's hopeless. The worst thing for me is that it's blindingly obvious we are not going to score, it's simply unacceptable. Ron really needs to have a word.
  6. This is embarassing. Glad I lumped on Leicester, makes it a bit less painful. I see Spurs are losing too, but yet again we have failed to put any pressure on then
  7. I've got more results right than wrong this season, but think what you like
  8. I can't see us scoring, and I think we will definitely concede. Would love to be proved wrong
  9. Just had a big bet on Leicester. Very worrying line up
  10. There wasn't much more we could do, he wanted first team football and wasn't always getting it here. Now he's gone, and even scored, he's a goal machine who we were stupid to let go.
  11. It's just a standard reply, of course he says he's happy here. He may well be, but I'm sure like most players he would be happier at one of the biggest clubs in the world, playing CL and doubling his money. He's gone, as is Morgan. Let's deal with it and move on. Take £20 million and sign Trippier for less than half of that.
  12. A lot of rumours going round already, can't say I'm too familiar with some of the names. No doubt as usual a lot on here will start saying we should sign a player we are linked with even if they've never seen them play. A 2 minute you tube clip usually does the job!
  13. I was never overly impressed with him. It's no surprise his move went through so quickly last summer, I'm sure Les didn't hesistate to take the £16 million. Maybe someone will come in with a similarly ridiculous offer for JWP this summer
  14. It's strange though, isn't it? When we beat Arsenal in January, we played them off the park and really should have won by more. That should have given us the confidence to push on; probably turned out to be a better result for Arsenal looking at their form since. It's the West Ham and Swansea games that killed our season, we've never managed to get back on track. The confidence should have been there, maybe when top 4 became a reality the nerves kicked in? Who knows We have some tricky games left, and it's a bit worrying, but four points should be enough for 7th.
  15. This could well be happening, Morgan is very keen to be re-united with MP.
  16. My contact at Spurs has informed me they are very keen, and confident of getting him. They think MP might sway his decision. I think he'd be ****ing stupid to go there, but it could well happen. Will see what I can find out about any potential Spurs players being part of the deal
  17. He's been tipping us to win for the last three or four weeks so it's time for him to stop. On a serious note I'll be raging even if we draw this one. I'm sure a few will react with the usual 'what a season we are having, points record' etc, but the fact is Sunderland are an awful side.
  18. I wouldn't read too much into it, no one knows what will happen. I expect Morgan to go, Clyne is obviously gone already. Can't see anyone taking a gamble on J-Rod though
  19. Incredible how we are still in the race for fifth after our recent results. Still so much to play for. Anything but a win on saturday is unacceptable.
  20. Think it's going to be a decent summer as most of us have accepted a few will leave. I fully trust Les Reed and co to bring in some more quality additions to the squad.
  21. Well deserved, such a consistent performer, seems to make very few mistakes. Must be a bit embarassing for Woy
  22. Fair enough, I watched with a few non-Saints fans and none of us thought it was a great game. For me, Spurs offered so little and we conceded two soft goals, which made it a disappointment. It's just another game where we appear to have been the better team and haven't won. Great to see Pelle get a couple of goals though, it seems the majority of fans have stuck by him during his dry spell in front of goal. A few tricky games to come against relegation threatened teams, if they come out and attack I feel it may play into our hands. I just really do not want to be waiting until May 30 for confirmation of a Europa League spot.
  23. Disappointing. Spurs are so average with the exception of Kane and Eriksen. We gifted them a point today; we needed to win to have a chance of 5th or 6th. Pleased for Pelle, but those three chances missed by Davis were just painful to watch.
  24. Yes, but I think our good start raised expectations a bit too much. Teams like Man City and Arsenal and their fans should expect to beat the like of West Brom and Stoke home and away. We're not so much better than any other team that we should expect the same.
  25. Joke, doubt Spurs can believe their luck. The way its gone they will probably win now
