I think we’ll sign a forward and another mid/winger and then loan a full back. Out the door a few both sold and loaned
-
But given how is loan panned out and his performances after Xmas, do you think we would have taken up the option to buy if he had one? I guess ultimately depends on what the price was, but not sure they were too impressed with him over the 2nd half of the season.
-
Only 20years out of date. Leicester left Filbert Street in 2002!
-
It’s clear, we don’t need to sell to buy now from a financial perspective but purely from a number of players one. We have too many in the “first team” squad to manage so have to shift some to bring the squad down then buy more. I think I saw we were at 26/27 senior players currently. Even 11v11 in training leaves us with subs.

How many managers actually have control over signings? Most clubs have give recruitment departments. They may say this is what I need and then these teams do the work on who fits that requirement. It’s no coincidence we sign city kids in the same window we appoint a new head of recruitment
-
Credibility of source… very low I say given most his stuff is about fantasy football
-
Some clubs just sign players on a free cos they know they can sell them in a year for money. Richards was one, always going to be a English club interested. Chelsea just done the same with Sarr - it’s not very football but is good business I guess.

Someone is bound to ask: when are the new screens going up? gambling sponsorship Why don’t we go for Werner, Coady, Mee etc..
-
That Nixon bloke is a loon. Also why would we sell for 50% less than we brought him for? He’s a much better player than 3 years ago
-
Happens everywhere. We lose a couple to Chelsea, but then pick up some from Spurs. All swings and roundabouts isn’t it
-
I’m sure City would prefer to loan him to PL side to increase their chance of a bigger selling price next year. If you have a good Championship season there would still be doubts of if you could cut it in PL

Exploring the possibilities, nice and vague.

According to a city fan twitter account. Don’t one I’m taking seriously

I like the away shirt. Modern design, there is only so much you can do with stripes or a plain top so glad we are going out there a bit more.

Sounds like 3 days ago it was obvious he was off: https://www.instagram.com/p/CfcjowqsmdX/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

What if SR knew when buying us the team needed an overhaul and given the price they paid they factored in say £50M to kick start their approach to how they wanted the club to operate?

I listened to a podcast recently and one of the questions raised was about why often “concept kits” are better than the actual kits. Basically the reason is concept kits to actually make would be a lot more expensive than the actual kits, due to patterns and designs. To keep the same profit margins they would have to make them more expensive to the supporters to buy.
-
Also would never happen as the sponsor would change in that time. So once that changes you wouldn’t have the latest kit.

Looks to not be with the city team yet, doing some form of training though (in city gear) https://instagram.com/stories/lavizzy6/2872067980694385330?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= -
Seems County fans aren’t fussed about Clapham leaving (read comments)

Returned Mateusz Lis,Gavin Bazunu, Alex McCarthy, Willy Caballero, Armel Bella-Kotchap, Dynel Simeu, Lyanco, Jack Stephens, Kyle Walker-Peters, Oriol Romeu, Ibrahima Diallo, Nathan Tella, Kamari Doyle, Dominic Ballard. Internationals (returning later) Jan Bednarek, James Ward-Prowse, Stuart Armstrong, Moussa Djenepo, Will Smallbone, Moi Elyounoussi, Che Adams. Injured Romain Perraud, Tino Livramento. Not Returned Mohammed Salisu, Yan Valery, Nathan Redmond, Adam Armstrong, Theo Walcott. The not returned group all look to be people we are hoping to move on - apart from Salisu, he was used in the shirt launch so imagine one we want to keep but wonder why he wasn’t back yesterday?

It’s all about budgets again though isn’t it. Chelsea, City, now Newcastle etc all owned by very wealthy people who invest alot more right down the chain. So they can go and hoover up the talent at 15/16 by offering bigger fees and salaries. if we put more into this level of the club it would be at the expense of I imagine the first team.
