Unfortunately, I'm the former. We're not even playing until Tuesday but my stomach is doing cycles right about now. I'm normally quite a positive Saint - I've pretty much looked on the bright side of everything but at the moment I feel absolutely dreadful. Nervy, anxious, scared... running through all the possible permutations in my mind what might happen. In one round of Championship fixtures my whole viewpoint has been turned upside down. I've gone from quietly confident to rather worrisome all in the space of 24 hours. The one small consolation is that it's in our hands still but even that dredges up an overwhelming sense of internal foreboding and outwardly anxiousness. I want clarity of thought but at this moment in time, I cannot help but go over some of the most recent games and injustices. The Norris' equaliser and the thought of the horrible club down the road revelling after playing a part in the unravelling of our season... the excellent performance punctuated by three sucker punches yesterday evening. The doom-like thought of being top 2 all season and slipping out on the last day. It's dreadful to even think like that, but I am. And it replays over, and over, and over in mind. I have this horrible sense of foreboding now. The fixture list looked so differently yesterday. What I considered a favourable run-in now looks like a mountainous task. Worse still, I look at our rivals and consider their chances far more than ours. I don't believe their game(s) are any easier, that's for sure but what I do consider is that momentum and belief has made an almighty shift. Confidence is important in football and at the business end of the season when things need to get done it's so important. Psychologically, this weekend has been damaging - perhaps the most damaging this season. There is now almost no margin for error. West Ham will be going **** and bust and having almost accepted the realisation of the playoffs they have credible chance of catching us. They can play with more freedom, more vigour, more tenacity. Can we? The thing that worries me the most is the psychological impact. We're not chasing, we're being chased and we're a step away from being caught. Do we have what it takes to keep our nerve or will we cave in under the huge pressure which has, despite what people might say, been heaped upon us? I don't subscribe to anyone who considers us as bottlers. We didn't bottle it last season and we've previous of coming through when the going get's tough. The question is... can we do it again? I'd like to think so but I'm bloody nervous. Bloody, bastardly, horribly nervous. Anyway, that's just me personally. I don't want to be negative so therefore I'd like to ask you all what you're feeling, deep down. Confident? Excited? Nervous? How are you coping with it? Are you just rolling with the punches or are there any more like me who are slightly more... worried?

Saints / Reading / West Ham run in: Games to go . . .
Crab Lungs replied to .comsaint's topic in The Saints
I can't predict what is going to happen, I just can't call it. What I can say is that I'm trying to decipher whether I'm nervous or whether it is a genuine, prophetic feeling of dread since Whams result came in. Still, we're ahead so it's ours to **** up. -
Wouldn't be surprised if Gold/Sullivan promised a nice little backhander to Brighton if they bottle it. They helped keep Pompey on life support after all..

Two hundred odd skates travelled. Huge club. Massive.
-
Lol. Totally written off because he'd played most of his career in L2. Whoops
-
Our Jos, in the middle of defence (for the umpteenth time)
-
I assume he forgot about what a skate sent Billy Sharp....
-
If WHU lose, they can only get a max of 12 points, 87 max. We are on 82 ... We only need 5 more points and we're up
-
Haven't got the link to hand but it was after they beat Millwall and went top for about all of three games. Utterly arrogant... Iirc, I think one comment was "now we're all but promoted"

The fans sound absolutely superb.

One of the most pathetic comments I've read from alpine, besides the usual doom-mongering. Adam has bust a gut for Saints this season and is definitely not a ponce. If you want ponces, try the EPL's repetoire of wusses.
-
I think you better try Virgin Media again... had a very, very impressive experience with them earlier in the month.
-
Or maybe we could read between the lines and realise that the players mentioned aren't wholly to blame for Wolves relegation... and they're being grossly mismanaged. IMO.
-
Michael Kightly as well while we're at it.
-
Yup, I'm on them and I'm delighted with the signal. I live in Hedge End and work in Salisbury and have no problems whatsoever. I was apprehensive at how good they were at first but I've been impressed. Great reception and money-wise, far cheaper than what I've experienced on o2 and Vodaphone. In other words, I'd recommend them.

I've been banging the Clayton drum for over a year now. He's superb and would have been perfect for the derby game - certainly would have put Halford in his place.
-
Yup, just watched it too... makes it even more sickening that we drew, especially with the chances we had. I watched a lot of what that tw4t Westwood was doing during the game... making bizarre "gay" hand gestures with his tongue out and punching his own head... bizarre man.

I see a bottlejob skates fan has taken to Twitter to rather unimaginatively abuse Billy Sharp. Why am I not surprised....
-
He will more than likely will be rested, and it will then be the same kind of thing for Reading. Rickie battling through.

We need some more Sloop John B. variants. We only have sixteen.
