  1. I second that notion. Anything less than that calibre and we're showing a lack of ambition. It's not as if we don't have the money to spend, either - Cortese must have made millions since he started charging folk to pay for parking.
  2. Once again, SaintsWeb has spoken. He's clearly not good enough, according to our experts. (FWIW, I've raved about him for years and I suspect many of you will be adding your names to the "players who made you eat humble pie" thread after you realise how good a signing this is).
  3. True... but I get the feeling you do! (I'm guessing that you do, anyway!?)
  4. I just couldn't get into it - and I really tried. Is it worth cracking a poor joke about "getting into" Louisa Necib of France?
  5. Sounds... about right
  6. That was so unfair, under Gray I remember. Previous to that, whenever I saw him play CB he was no worse than any half-competent CB in the Prem, so wasn't surprised to see him make a success of his career. Awesome signing. Oh, and he is similar to Jaidi, domineering centre half, gutsy... just a bit cumbersome, as most big centre-backs are.
  7. Eddie Howe... God, I'm so glad we don't have him, whinging about losing games, unfair decisions etc...
  8. In another flick of the V's to the people they owe - as well as a thinly-veiled insult to remaining free transfer players, Pompey's moronic manager Steve Cotterill tells the world that he'll be spending - not shuffling around the bargain basement for free transfers - to complete his squad for another campaign of "quality over quantity". http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/cotterill_rules_out_any_more_frees_1_2849162 And in other news, the few are getting excited: Btw - The News have reported that Henderson was both a free transfer AND a paid transfer... Pompey getting their financial wiring crossed, surely not?
  9. This is the final straw for me after the car park debacle.
  10. Talking of which, I might need your expertise soon
  11. Compared to Bruce Willis' offering :-o
  12. I'd absolutely agree. If someone offered me Blackburn, Wigan or some of the other midfield's compared to us, I'd most definitely say no
  13. OK, daughters of famous or not-so-famous people only! My first suggestion was inspired by a TV advert I've just seen. I never knew Robin Williams had a daughter...
  14. Better than Mancienne, Henderson... We've just signed an EPL quality player; which, of course, he'll prove in time.
  15. Massive lol at Mancienne and Henderson being preferred to him for U21's. He's got real class... not an ineffective nudger like so many supposed PL quality midfielders.
  16. I think you're right, defo.
  17. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14052690 Enjoyed watching this, scummy dirty-teethed journo getting pwned by Hugh Grant
  18. That's Geckos designs, lol
  19. Glad it's gone, but I wonder how many people will buy the NoTW this Sunday as a souvenir, seeing as it's the last one? :-/
  20. We should have turned this into a "Guess Her Muff" thread as well!
  21. I'm assuming you've never heard her voice? It's a fine line between wanting punch/punish her.
  22. She would be an 8, but her mind-numbingly lobotomising voice brings her down to a six and thus, under the radar. Excellent shout.
  23. I'd love it to happen and I'd have loved us to take the Leicester route with a couple of marquee, big-name signings and 2-3 more established NPC competent players ,but it appears we're holding our cards very close to our chest... and besides, I'm not sure NA is one of marquee signings, which is a shame in some respects as they can sometimes galvanise a club (not an Edgar Davids-style type signing, though!) Besides, the chances of anyone falling in love with rubbish-strewn, chavtastic, dull, permanently grey surroundings of Southampton have to be remote.
  24. LMFAO@that quote! I don't know why Corp denies that he's said some of these things.
