Once Upon A Time In Anatolia - extremely satisfying film, long, slow and all the more enjoyable for that. Dissects the human condition in the guise of an all night murder mystery. Won the Grand Prix at Cannes last year if that floats anyone's boat. Don't bother watching it if you can't cope with subtitles.

Wigan, Sunderland and Liverpool (never done Anfield for some reason) for me.

Toss up between this and Millwall away. Seeing as I wasn't at Millwall, I'm going to say Leeds. 2nd half support was ****ing brilliant - goes down as one of my top 5 aways.
-
Saw them live a few times - always a proper party. Worth checking out the Glasgow gig from 1999 on youtube if you never had the opportunity. Music snobs will tell you Paul's Boutique was their best but Check Your Head has always got the most plays in this household. As someone above mentioned, soundtracked my life...

Burial practices are part of what makes us human and not animal. I wouldn't expect that to have ever occurred to you though. Nice trolling by the OP, though. Never afraid to stoop lower and lower.

Been on the booze today? Your posts are normally more even keeled than that. Personally, I think we'll still get 2nd. And if we don't there's the playoffs. If we **** that up....well, it's been a ****ing great ride the last 18 months. Just enjoy it, folks. The next two weeks are what football is all about.

Just watched it this evening. I thought the monsters looked pretty good - interesting extra how they went about doing it. I mentioned it on the other thread by mistake so I'll say it again here: Meek's Cutoff - beautiful looking, slow, drawn out Western. Well worth the effort if you're in it for the journey.
-
Meek's Cutoff - about as a good a 'Western' as I've ever seen. If you like Malick you need to watch it. Thought provoking awesomeness.

This.

Guly was **** yesterday, no doubt. But the Skates bossed the game for 20 mins once De Ridder came on. He offered nothing. Lallana was the only one who offered a threat and Cork was MoM. On course for back to back promotions (when pretty much everyone would've accepted consolidation this season) I'm still inclined to trust Adkins' judgement unlike a lot of the clueless ****s on here.

Your team needs your 100% support now!!
TheCholulaKid replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
Let's hope so. Personally, on occasion, I think Adkins has been too generous with his assessment of the fans' support this season. The team will need a lift tomorrow - it's up to us to provide it. -
I truly pity those of you moaning ****s on this thread. Truly losing the plot at times like that at a football match are rare and what football is all about, IMO. There's no other sport that gets the juices flowing like that. I'm not surprised by the pathetic comments on this thread - probably the same people who sat on their hands in silence for 20 minutes in the 2nd half yesterday. Shameful.

Mars is easily seen with the naked eye at the moment too. Obviously red in the East. Early heads up for transit of Venus across face of the Sun on June 6th. You'll have to be up early but it'll be worth it - not another one until 2117.

Bit harsh on Taylor tbf. I followed England home and away during USA94 qualifying and although there were some not brilliant performances and puzzling selections: we played the best 45 mins of football I've seen us play in the 2-2 draw against Holland at Wembley.....got undone by Wouters fracturing Gazza'a cheekbone which he should've been sent off for also got completely stitched up in Rotterdam when Koeman should've been sent off with Platt clean through Not that I'm still bitter or anything. I did get to have a beer with the team and Lawrie Mac in Turkey though - every cloud and all that
-
Not really, mate. Le Tissier used to get loads of **** back in the day. People have short memories. Not suggesting Guly is in his class but he is unpredictable - every team needs a bit of that.
-
Agree. Thought Leeds made it easier for us as the game went on though. We never looked like being beaten by an aerial bombardment. £2 for a pint of Black Sheep in the city centre followed by that performance. An awayday to remember.
-
All true. West Ham are bigger club than us though.
-
Not sure we beat them 'soundly' - 4-3 IIRC. It did make me feel a bit better though.
-
See post 19. IIRC Ruel Fox and Robert Fleck were the cheating S****horpe's that night.
-
This. Also, who was the ****** that sent off MLT and Barry Horne (?) in that Cup replay at Norwich in the early 90s?

Describe the last sh1t you had using a title of a film...

Nothing wrong with denim at any age really. What about trainers though? There must be an upper age limit, surely. And what's the alternative?

Is it ok as a supporter to wear least season's kit this season?
TheCholulaKid replied to Tom8558's topic in The Saints
The people you are attempting to satirise certainly aren't real ale drinkers. I ****ing hope they aren't still wearing Stone Island and Henry Lloyd either. -
Saints games/moments you couldn't bear to watch..

This one for me. Had a great night out celebrating in Manc after.
