As an old Eastleigh boy, good to hear!!

Of course you need players of a good enough quality who are fit, strong and quick. It is also true that the correct mental attitude can enhance their abilities; just as saying someone can be psychologically damaged by consistently being told they are useless. I would certainly much rather have a manager like Adkins who always looks at the positives (as well as trying to eradicate mistakes being made) than someone like Saggy Chops who came in saying how crap the squad and players were (which he continued to repeat week after week). Anyone who cannot see this clearly lacks managerial abilities.

'Live' trees don't usually go on sale here until 23rd/24th Dec, as they are primarily for New Year (indeed, they are called New Year Trees) and Christmas here is 2 weeks later than the one celebrated in the UK. So, most years since I have been here, the tree has gone up on 23/24 Dec. However, last year I decided to get a plastic one so it went up 2 weeks before Christmas - just as I used to do when living in England. As for this year...... I am off to Moscow this weekend and my wife is threatening to put the tree up while I am away. Personally, seeing as it never comes down until the middle of January (after we celebrate 'Old New Year' on the 13th) I would rather wait a couple more weeks. But, if it makes her happy...............

I only bought the away shirt last season. I didn't like how how the logo band looked with the stripes on the home one. Usually I only get one shirt and decide whether it will be the home or away one based on which I like best. I bought both the home and away shirts this season as I like them both and couldn't decide which not to get. Personally, I like them.

I must have imagined him coming on as a sub for Shaw then.................... As for Brad Friedel.... YES PLEASE!!!!!!

I would like to volunteer to be the BBC's Director-General for 55 days for 450k. I also seriously believe I would do a better job than Entwistle did.

Looking at the line-ups we really should win this., but I think it will be a close game. I don't really think it will be the 4-3 I went for in the prediction league, and certainly hope we win with a far more comfortable score. Mind you, that would be good for those at SMS.

If someone were to buy Fatpipes Park for 20 million Chinny would only get the amount of the charge with the rest going to the club. I think that's about all the difference is.

A bit hypocritical of The Snooze. These lads were only following the example of those deemed heroes by the likes of Neil Allen. At least they stole the money from charities in a far more open way.

Come on guys , listen to Jamie. He is always spot on about managers and their abilities. After all, Wotte did keep us up, didn't he????

The match is on live here. Come on Saints, do us proud!!!!!!!

What a load of b*ll*cks!! Do I really have to bounce a certain thread from before last season to prove how wrong you were?
-
I woke up this morning with a good feeling abut today's match, but a little while ago my favourite Saints mug broke. Is it an omen or did the mug sacrifice itself in exchange for some points? I will decide what to do with the remains after the match.

Belarus decided not to change again this year. So I am now 3 hours ahead.

As previously stated and ignored by you, as you no doubt understand this where you very much cheated: I know you are only trolling/fishing, but I'll bite: I will be worried when on sub 20 000 crowds we don't pay tax and rip off charities in order to facilitate our signing: Hart (read James) Terry (read Campbell) Baines (read Johnson) Defoe (read Defoe) Etc, etc, etc. We did not cheat as we continued to pay tax, charities, local businesses, etc. Now, if you really want to keep making yourself look as stupid as Corp (quite some achievement) go start a new thread on this topic and stop trying to detract from us laughing at your feeble excuse of a football club. Thanks.

He didn't pick anybody up in the middle, and if the ball had been played to where he was standing Boruc should have been able to deal with it. Instead he left his player completely free. It was Shaw's mistake. Don't get me wrong, I think he has great potential but he is not yet good enough for the prem. He is prone to making mistakes, as was evidenced tonight with the 3rd goal.
-
A decent result, all things considered. Very poor defending by Shaw for their 3rd, got sucked into the middle ball-watching leaving his man all alone at the far post. Anyone calling for him to replace Fox in the first team should be forced to watch that over and over again. Good to see them keep going until the end to earn a well deserved point with virtually the last kick of the match.

Strange how people can have such a different opinion of the same players in the same match. FWIW, I agree with Ewell's in this case. However, he then contradicts himself by saying it was a poor decision to take Lambert off but nice to see Guly come on and play well. In this case, I agree with the second statement. Guly DID play well when he came on; therefore, maybe it was a correct decision by Adkins? I think we were unlucky with the early loss of Richardson (especially with Clyne already missing) and the disallowed goal should have stood. I am also certain we would have won with our best 11 on the pitch. That has to be countered with the fact that Fulham were also missing their 2 first choice forwards though. All in all, disappointing to drop 2 points but happy to have the one having gone behind so late in the game.

This. Morgan also had a good game.

Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales
Minsk replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
This, especially the highlighted bit. -
Yes.

So that 30k is being slowly drip fed back into the club's very empty coffers.

No, they are giving 14 lots of 12 tickets (2 adult and 10 kids) away for each of their 15 Saturday 3.00pm kick-offs remaining for the season. So only an extra 168 per (Saturday, home) match.
