Good post and I wouldn't take up your bet; my money would be where yours is.

St Marco, You have made some excellent posts today. I salute you sir!!

Absolutely spot on!!

Unfortunatly, due to Wenger and £15m from Arsenal, we will never know if Saint Lard was right and whether Chamberlain is or isn't good enough for the Championship.
-
I've just seen that exact video on BBC World. Disgusting. I sincerely hope those scumbags get caught.

Mrs Minsk thinks that the UK government should do a deal with Russia and send all those caught to Siberia for a couple of years. Not to a goolag, just to go and live there - trying to survive however they can.

Agree with all of these. If something isn't done soon I can see vigilantes going out to stop the yoof riots and some serious kickings being handed out; the yoof will then blame the police for not protecting them. The locals over here are always surprised when I tell them living in Minsk is much safer than living in the UK. Perhaps they will believe me now.

In an interview prior to the Torquay match Adkins said: 'We know that it's going to be competitive, and what we've got to do is give them (Torquay) the utmost respect AS WE ALWAYS DO............. ........... we'll be expected to win the game, but as we always do at this football club, WE NEVER EVER UNDERESTIMATE THE OPPOSITION.' Maybe Nige read this thread and wanted the truth made known?

£12m+£3m in add-ons for a player Saint Lard doesn't think is good enough for the Championship. I guess Wenger doesn't agree with you Lardy! Excellent piece of business by Cortese. To be honest, I am sad to see him go as he was fantastic to watch; however, I am also happy that the saga of his transfer has finished. I was getting pretty bored with reading about the speculation. I just hope the money is used to enhance our first team and that good new players arrive in the next day or two.

I would go with: Bart Butters Martin Seaborne Dickson de Ridder Morgan Hammond Holmes Barnard Guly Subs: Davis, Richardson, Chaplow, Forte, Doble

The bright pink sail makes me think...... women drivers/sailors.

Not good enough for the Championship - according to Saint Lard I think we are very lucky to have him, and he will soon be courted by many top clubs if he keeps producing displays like yesterday on the TV. I would love for him to mstay with us his entire career, but we would need to become everything Marcus wanted us to and more for that to be the case. Here's hoping!!!!!!

The version with the Benny Hill music is much funnier, IMO. it looks like a dolphinarium I visited in Kaktobel, Crimea.
-
He is very carefully covering his earlobes. He doesn't want to be identified by the Saintsweb detectives for some reason. Hmmmmmm........
-
Hammond really was very good yesterday. And his goal was absolutely superb.

vossem is the Russian word for the number Eight. One number less than nine is eight. We kept the number 19 free for someone, maybe Vossen?

I find it somewhat amusing that the same people saying they think Chamberlain is off to Arsenal this week are the same ones who said they were sure he woulkd leave us in January, and no doubt they will say the same thing during every transfer window until he does leave; when they will tell us they were right all along!
-
I thought he made some very good tackles and won most things in the air. Looked very dodgy when in possesion however, and bad distribution. The penalty shouldn't have been given, the ball hit his chest then his arm; but, like Chamberlain last season away to Posh, if his arms were not raised the ball couldn't have hit them and no penalty would have been given. To be honest, Leeds' centre forwards today were not of that good a quality. Becchio would have tested him far more and it could well have been a different result had he played. For certain, the more he plays the better he will become. Can we afford his mistakes whilst this happens? That is for Adkins to answer. Personally I still want us to sign a good CB very quickly. One thing I do believe however, is that had Seaborne made some of the mistakes Martin made today a number of posters on here who have been defending Martin would have lambasting him (Seaborne).

Seven of the dirty dozen deemed not good enough for the Championship (by the OP) started and an eighth came on as sub. All three goals were scored by members of the dirty dozen deemed not good enough to play in the Championship (by the OP) and what excellent goals they were. It didn't seem to me that Adkins, or the coaching staff, or the players had underestimated the opposition. Adkins made excellent tactical changes with use of his substitutions, and was not out-thought by a manager who led his team to 7th in the Championship last season. (Just to remind people, the dirty dozen deemed not good enough to play in the Championship according to Saint Lard are: Lambert, Guly, Hammond, Jaidi, Davis, Connolly, Richardson, Seabourne, Forte, Chamberlain, Lallana and de Ridder.)

First half of first game and 2 excellent goals from 2 players you DON'T THINK ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP! Oh, and one of those players is ripping the leeds defence apart.
-
It's been a good game so far. 2 great goals Lallana looks sublime Quite worried about Martin though

Fantastic, the day the new season starts and the loons come out. Most saints fans are looking forward to the new campaign kicking-off; those with agendas start throwing sh!t at Cortese and try to ruin the fun. It's going to be a long season with loons like you around, and in futureIi guess I should just ignore these threads.

Excellent post. it was obvious that one of his (Seaborne's) detractors would come out with somethine like this though. I really can't understand why so called 'fans' do so, however. Although it does reveal the mentality of such persons when have to name-call like an errant 8 year old. 'SeaSpunk'? What a lovely to 'support' an up and coming young player in our squad! I understand Seaborne has his faults, and I will be very happy if Gorkss comes in to partner Fonte enabling him to have more time to develop as a player. But there is no need for such infantile abuse. As for slating him because CMS did him for pace...... I think you will find Seaborne is faster than Fonte, therefore Jose must be carp as well; no? CMS is fast. Pace is his main weapon. he outdid most CBs for pace last season. Hardly a reason to believe Seaborne is the worst of our CBs. And, if we are blaming people about THAT gane then in my book there is only one person who was responsible for us not getting all 3 points. He is the one who needlessly gave away the penalty in the last seconds of the match. It doesn't mean I think he should never play for Saints again though; or that I am going to make up a childish, insulting, nickname for him.
