  1. I bet you'd like to delete the post where you called me racist because I said Tandari Lee wouldn't be the Premier league superstar you said he would be
  2. You posted this in February 2014, a month after Cortese left http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?49105-The-club-is-no-longer-run-FOR-the-fans In this thread you slam the Liebherr family for only being interested in making money. You turnip.
  3. Hang on a minute, not that long ago you were *****ing that the club was no longer for the fans, run by a bunch of people who didn't care about the club or it's fans and were only interested in money. What's changed? How have they suddenly become one of the best run clubs in Europe owned by good, considerate owners? How can this even be the case when they keep on spunking money on players like Claise and Tadic who are both out of their depth?
  4. Heard he had auditioned for the role of R2D2 in the new Star Wars film.
  5. This is true. I once remember a chairman of a league one club telling everyone who would listen that his club was on an unstoppable march to the champions league, were going to become the next great power in English football playing in an expanded 50,000 stadium with a team full of academy graduates and he was going to do it all by not getting into debt at all as he didn't believe in debt. Lots of people idolised him, hanging onto his every word. The funny thing is the guy didn't even believe his own spin as he quit on the job with none of his promises brought to bare. Sound bites and spin indeed.
  6. In my considerable experience of mixing with gays I genuinely don't believe they are victims of crime any more or less than an other minority group. I wouldnt trust the stats you quote as by and large gays are sensitive, easily upset types so would be more likely to easily upset or perhaps be offended when none was intended therefore more likely to report crimes when in truth there wasn't one. So I'd suggest real crimes a lot lower than your statistics. That said though one of the reasons I admire gay people so much, apart from their style and grooming is their bravery. When they decide to be gay its a big step to come out it takes bravery to come out. I remember my cousin decided it was for him 20 years ago it was the subject that must not be discussed by their side of the family.
  7. Agreed. Sensational stuff. Possibly the greatest interview since Lady Diana was interviewed by martin Bashir.
  8. Aw poor old Vectis, still not able to get over his poster boy Tanadari Lee flopping like I said he would. You'd know all about being a pompous arsehole what with accusing people of being racist because they rightly didn't think Lee would be the premier league star you dreamt he would So much so you posted about its twice
  9. He's an impressive looking man, much like myself. I have the upmost respect for a man that looks good, dresses well, in good shape, conducts himself with a bit of class. There is a huge difference between fashion and style. This picture sums it up.
  10. About 5-6% body fat, good definition, well trimmed beard. Muscular but not bulky. What's not to like?
  11. Disgusting comments. Why do people like you think being inside a football match gives them carte Blanche to act like a frothing at the mouth thug with a vile tongue? Children have as much right to be there as you, who are you to say where children should and shouldn't sit? Standing up is breaking ground regulations which can lead to ejection and banning orders. as for your foul mouthed volleys of abuse hurled towards the pitch under the thinly disguised veil of trying to create an atmosphere that is the sort of knuckle dragging behaviour that is not welcome. I expected better from you Geoff, it's become all to clear why you were sacked as a moderator.
  12. I rarely see hetrosexual couples holding hands or displaying affection, in fact on the rare occasions Mrs Turkish has been allowed to come to a game its really grinded my gears when she tries be affectionate. Maybe gay people feel the same as that?
  13. I get that it it's unlikely, that said though I've been asked a couple of times if I was gay, presumably because it was of my impressive physique, impeccable style of immaculate grooming. Once was in the queue to watch the wizard of oz at the cinema and the other was when I had my eyelashes tinted after a BS&C wax, cheeky little mix, LOL!!
  14. I don't believe gay players will truly be accepted until we have an annual gay player awards to celebrate the achievements of gay players in the game. I'd like to see a gay lawyer set up a support group as well to act as a spokesman on behalf of gay and straight fans who can be OUTRAGED whenever anything that can be linked to homophobia comes up, however tenuous it might be. Perhaps a kick homophobia out of football campaign with t-shirts, billboards and campaigns to raise awareness in the game. And why oh why aren't there any gay managers? This is a DISGRACE. More should be done to attract gay managers, I'd like to see the Mercury rule introduced where a gay manager has to be interviewed for every available job. I need people to do those things as it gives me a chance to show what a lovely guy I am and be OUTRAGED/supportive/proud/DISGUSTED when I can be and without all these things to draw our attention to it how are we supposed to know that homophobia is an issue in football and society?
  15. I'd say that's more of a compliment than something to be upset by.
  16. You're right Lou, I really, really hope one of the gay players is a Saints player, it would be amazing. But I'd just like to remind everyone (yet again) that I don't care what they do in their spare time, it makes no odds to me that they're gay at all, it's none of my business and in 2015 it shouldn't make any difference. but what I'd like to do is announce that I'm proud of having a gay player in my team and making a point of accepting them openly, isn't it great we've got such great fans who would accept a gay player so easily, even though they are just like you and me. Because homophobia is wrong and it would be wrong to make a point of their sexuality, or something.
  17. Why is it great they are coming out? It makes me laugh how many people on the one hand go on about how no one cares what they get up to but at the same time give the patronising "oh isn't it great, they're so brave" clearly people do care as it needs this massive unveiling built up for days in the media and people feel the need to congratulate them on their "bravery". guess what, it's not 1943 anymore, they aren't going to be banged up for telling everyone they're gay. The most they'll get is a bit of #bantz from the bantologists on the terraces which will no doubt include a hilariously witty song to the tune of sloop john b. I imagine that'll be limited though as most people these days are desperate to prove what lovely people they are. So let's all celebrate this, its amazing they're coming out, give them a good round of applause when we next see them what a fantastic moment for football. remember we don't care though, it's no ones business what they do in their spare time, no one needs to make a big deal out of it, it doesn't matter if they're gay or straight etc etc.
  18. Saints Klip Klopp Claise got better as the game went on. He could be another good signing when fully up to speed. Thought we looked solid defensively but a bit not really clicking going forward today, a draw was a fair result I think. Great to get a point after going behind so late to what to be fair was a very good goal
  19. It also helps them enormous that we had Gazzaniga as glovesman that day and they scored with every attempt on target, as did pretty much everyone else we played against when he was in goal during that run of games.
  20. I remember all that. I remember posters claiming it was game over, the ambition had gone, some claimed that the club would never be the same again and yes I do recall someone saying they cried. You've got to admire him for the way he managed to get everyone to believe his own propaganda machine. Of course some of us saw through it all and were given all sorts of abuse for it. Cortese was ruthless and ambitious, so that gave him licence to be an absolute c*nt inn some people's eyes. He told people what they wanted to hear, so the CoC sucked it all up and turned on anyone that dared question him. It could have been different, if the Nick nack hadn't been a narcissistic lunatic he could have been a hero. However even his biggest fans now admit that whilst he did a good job he was an absolute Bellend.
  21. Too high, dunes new character is a shadow of his previous acts.
  22. This is true, the comedy value is excellent, I can only imagine how a womens football forum would look. Imagine meltdown on here about the lack of depth in the squad when the star striker will be missing for a year due to pregnancy. Or how our influential midfielder would miss a game during the transfer window due to period pains, conspiracy theories will abound. I'd hate to be their agent too, imagine contract negotiations when they're asking for a new deal, they could go on for weeks when the reply of "if you really knew me you'd know what was wrong with my contract, if you don't know I'm not going to tell you"
  23. Is it a bit like men in their thirties who protest so much about what style football shirt a club wears that they organise a protest group, but then buy the style of shirt they are protesting against anyway?
  24. That's what we've got the lauded black box for pal. The fact is the 2nd choice keeper position has been an issue that is stretching into it's fourth season. We are arguably the weakest in the premier league in that position, the fact that a keeper who was championship level in prime 10 years ago is our 2nd choice is a huge issue which is consistently not being resolved for some reason.
