Should any Liverpool followers have been in the home areas I would have hoped the customers surrounding them would refer to the supporters charter and taken advantage of the report hotline to oust them from their seats. The supporters charter clearly states away supporters in home areas will be ejected, unless they are in the corporate boxes in which case their money is more important so they can do what they want.

You can imagine some little marketing gimp first job out of “uni” coming up with that and thinking it was brilliant. This was last seasons menu, I’m assuming it hasn’t changed but your £150 yesterday would have given you the opportunity to purchase a big boy saints burger and chips with ice cream pudding for £22.50. What a bargain. https://www.southamptonfc.com/-/media/files/other/gasworks-food-menu.pdf?la=en

I think there are two options. You can either buy a season long membership for £200, which gets you all of the above minus the match ticket. Or on a pay per game basis with prices seeming to be £150 for the big games, the cheapest I could find was Watford at £78. But yes either way you’re basically paying awful lot of money to get a “ free” pint whilst sitting in an empty pub where sky sports is on.

Or maybe they just did it regardless? It wouldn’t be like them to just do something regardless of what fans think. I expect some cheerleader on the saints voice group nodded along in agreement it would be a good idea so they took it as representative of everyone.
-
That tickled me too, an opportunity to purchase a burger and chips for £22. It’s absolutely laughable this is somehow a selling point for paying £150 to be in the bar.
-
You’re absolutely right. I keep thinking back to the survey last season, how much do you earn? How much would you spend? Would you want a premium area? Etc etc, they’re just not interested in your regular fan. They seem to want us to be a premium club, like an arsenal lite but forget we are an average team in a relatively small working class city. They preach self sustainability and refusal to invest yet want their customers to splash out week after week.

Agreed. I thought he looked good and will be a handful for any defender. Should probably have scored his header but give him 6 months and reckon we could have a very good player on our hands.

Why would anyone buy membership or pay £150 for the match day ticket? It’s an absolute rip off. I see the price drops to £78 for the Watford game but even that is steep for what is effectively just paying for the privilege of being there. I could perhaps understand it if it includes some sort of meal but all it seems to get you is a seat and a drink. Our money grabbing club have made an absolute mess of this. I guess as word spreads this will mainly be full of away fans in the future, don’t see any reason why saints fans would spend any money to be there unless you were desperate for a ticket.

14 reported for drunkenness 23 for abusive or offensive language 2 for fighting 348 for standing I was so busy reporting people I missed all the goal. Still the reusable cups are a triumph. Peppermint tea never tasted so good.

Wierd game. A good performance and an awful one. Could have been 2-3 or 3 up, lucky not to be hammered and then disappointing not to draw. Once again sloppy play cost us a goal, 2 good finishes but Mane given far too much space and the throw in/clearance for the second goal was awful. Ings miss, dear me. Encouraging in places worrying in others but no shame losing to the European champions.

I am sorry that the older generation of foul mouthed, bloated, pub obsessed middle aged men like yourself don’t feel like football is alive for them anymore. The fact that you still watch the scores of ceefax show what a dinosaur you are. No doubt you a Saturday after for you involves swilling beer, some racist and sexist abuse, a punch up followed by boasting about it back int he pub with your other thug like friends. I for one am proud of my club for leading the way in inclusiveness and look forward to standing shoulder to shoulder with our fellow fans, I habe the saints report number on speed dial and while he scrutising the behaviour of our fans moving forward, while enjoying green tea from a reusable cup to ensure that I can play my part in keeping st Mary’s an inclusive place.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see an article in a month or so back slapping themselves listing the amount of ejections and bans given out to prove how successful the grassing hotline has been.
-
Grassing hotlines, trannie flags, free ice cream, welcoming away fans into the home ends, reusable cups, fanzones, gasworks bar. There truely never has been a better time to be a saints fan.

I thought playing 2 up top and getting rid of Eric black was the answer to all our problems This is the classic game is to get an early goal contentiously disallowed due to VAR, then Danso to start, look great then get sent off for a late tackle on Salah which is highly debatable where he goes down very easy and us end up losing 2-0 with the pundits purring about how clinical Liverpool are despite playing 120 minutes Midweek. Usual annoying loss to Liverpool.

Years ago Mrs Turkish worked at saints and part of her job was to do the match day music. They were looking for a song for the team to come out to and I suggested “this is the one” on a drunken evening with friends. We played it and all agreed it would be brilliant. The idea was taken back to the March day committee and saints with the song played and it was decided it wouldn’t get the fans up for it, with the vote going to “one vision” instead FFS. I do however take credit for one games post match music where I suggested The style council Shout to the top if we win or Walls come tumbling down if we lost. The former was played after our victory.

Im surprised no one has brought up the possibility of a front sweeper yet. It was all the rage c2012
-
Probably the same people who blamed all our crap performances on Eric Black.
-
I’m sure they will. He was very popular here and in football generally. One of those player most people would want to do well.

Although the cheerleaders on here won’t agree that was down to our CEO at time. Little fella, now chairman of AC Milan, you must remember him Anyway, he thought sharp couldn’t cut it in the premier league so decided to sign some fella from AFCON, Mayuka was his name, great player, going to bang them in, because some agent in Zambia told him so. So sharp was out Mayuka was in. We all now how it turned out. But The little Italian fella was a master scout, tactician and transfer guru so this one must be down to someone else.

My wife knows him, met him a few times. Lovely fella and a proper saints fan. He had a major operation in April, I don’t know if related to this. He posted on Facebook this week he was struggling with a mystery virus. Very sad, no age at all and a lovely fella. Would have been 19 seasons in the stadium announcer job. People like that make a football club what it is. RIP, really sad news.

Why play 3 sh*t centre halves and 1 average midfielder when we can play 2 and 2 average midfielders? Said a few times a decent defensive midfielder is just as important as a decent centre back

I tend to find that the best way round this is to put anything in you or your child’s pants. That way if either of you are searched and anything suspicious located before they extract it from your person you can immediately claim that you or your child are currently in the process of going through a gender reassignment programme, something you/they are finding highly traumatic, you are also going through intensive counselling to deal with and an accusation of “things” being mistake for trying to struggle contraband into a football stadium could Be highly traumatic, even possible suicide for people not respect our rights as transgender individuals. Either we can forget this sorry episode ever happened let us into the ground without a further mention or we can share your disgusting behaviour all over social media where you will immediately be crucified by outraged loony lefties as a vile human being who should be hung, this will go on for a least a week and receive over 21,000 retweets. You’ll be waving your flare around your head before anyone can say LBGT
