Rather than grass roots level I think these should be tried out in woman’s football. So this morning had an incident which was total innocent which taken out of context could spark social media outrage. I was at the train station where i'd just come out of Sainsburys with a packet of nuts, a banana and a bottle of water. I was approached by a black, female beggar who she said she was wanting change as she was desperate for breakfast. I said I didn't have any change, but said did you want that instead if it's breakfast you want and passed her the first thing in my hand which was the banana. She took one look at me and said "im not a monkey" which got me uncharatistically flustered, trying to explain I didn't mean anything by it, so ended up giving her a fiver FFS However had some social media cretin been around filming he would have seen a white man offering a black female beggar a banana and there would no doubt have been a social media outrage about it all and the disgusting racism, when it was actually all well meaning and intentioned.

It’s on days like this when I always think back to the days when our forum geniuses like Wes Ender would insist that none of our players would ever leave us, they’d all stay with saints to play with their mates. As for the banana reference again I don't see the issue with this, bananas have excellent nutritional qualities particular used by athletes for carbohydrate refuelling during or after excessive exertion. I don't see how anyone can take issue with teaching children healthy eating habits particularly if it is going to enable them to improve their performance in their sport of choice. Of course those who want to see racism everywhere will do, but perhaps their patronising attitude towards non whites harks back to the era of imperialistic Britain when anyone non British needed our help and support as they weren't bright to look after themselves.
