  1. 5th lowest agents fees in the premier league? There must be some mistake. Agents fees (and bonuses) are the reason why we have to win the net spend trophy every season because we have to pay them unlike every other club. How can it be when 14 other clubs spend more on agents fees than we do yet we are the only club to be in profit from transfers since the start of 2014 season?
  2. Was absolutely magnificent. Looks to be the complete forward, great in the air, pace, power, great touch. It was obvious why Birmingham fans loved him and so many championship clubs wanted him. The new Marco Van Basten. I can see why his cause has been championed by certain posters for so long.
  3. Surprised to see you on here, didn’t you have to promise your wife you wouldn’t post on saints forums any more after she saw what goat boy said about here? I’d rather buy clothes from top man (not true) than care more about posting on a football forum than my marriage ps hope the therapy is going well xxx
  4. Part is mongboard wisdom is the mantra that we should sell him, him and him because he’s sh*t and earns too much ignore the fact that because they are sh*t and earn too much who is going to sign them? Realistically no premier league club will want Forster, long and Austin and no champions ship club can afford them so it’s not quite as easy as the geniuses on here make out.
  5. https://twitter.com/slinkyswimmer/status/1109407172537081856?s=21 Look at these absolute mugs. What an embarrassment, throw in a couple of people in fancy dress and it’s like a saints away end FFS.
  6. It interesting to see Raheem Stirling get a standing ovation and is now a hero in many fans eyes, they even said on the news this morning he is adored. After watching Out of their skin I got the impression everyone hated him because he was black, that was certainly alluded to even if they never actually stated that. A bit like Ashley Cole, great player but not popular with the public. Perhaps it’s nothing to do with their skin colour after all but the fact that, certainly in Ashley Coles case, he came across as a complete helmet in an era with an failing England team full of egos.
  7. With a Harry Kane only able to score from penalties these days it’s about time Southgate called up Sam Gallagher. Ten, yes Ten championship clubs tried to sign him in January you know.
  8. I really cant see Cardiff getting any more than 8 points absolute maximum, so we need 6 with out better goal difference. We should easily get 6 points from our last 8, I think we'll get more like 10 and stay up quite comfortably. Much as I hate the premier league I don't want to get relegated as that would be a disaster for the club the way we are run. Also think next season will be much better if Hassenhuttl sticks around.
  9. Interesting piece on Sam Gallagher here. Either this is pure speculation from the author or he has a source close to Gallagher. He appears to be revealing many private details like Hassenhuttl made a promise to play him if he stayed, the club that were interested in him. it is also critical of our current forward line and very pro-Gallagher. What do you think? Despite him having an average scoring record in the championship and only one goal in twenty odd games in the premier league should he be higher up the pecking order? It's an interesting one, I wonder who the source could be? I've certainly read similar pro-Gallagher arguments before........ https://www.itsroundanditswhite.co.uk/articles/is-sam-gallagher-destined-to-leave-southampton
  10. Don't be surprised if Yoshida goes, heard we've been trying to shift him for a while. We'll try and offload Austin, Long and Forster too, if we can find buyers which is easier said than done, Championship players on Premier league wages is the issue, we'll have to take a hit on them if they're to go. Wouldn't be surprised to see Lemina go and based on Krugers comments about how big clubs are sniffing round Hojberg I wonder if we're being teed up for him to go too. Shanghi Leisure Holdings need us to sell before we can buy remember. Think someone will come in for Hoedt and Cedric. Hoedt may be terrible for us but he's still young and it wasn't that long ago he was in the Dutch national side so someone will take a punt on him. Cedric is decent enough so we should be able to find a buyer somewhere. Remember he's still waiting on that call from Barcelona As for incomings we'll probably bring in a striker with pace and movement, hopefully a decent centre half. I know we were close to signing the right back from Genk but with Valerys emergence that may have been shelved now. I'd expect to see a lot more academy players used like Ramsey, Johnson, Slattery and Sims next year but either way we will bring some players in, I cant remember ever being a summer transfer window when we didn't sign a player so it's not going to start now when there are such glaring holes in the squad.
  11. Crystal Palace womens team lost 1-0 to a load of overweight ex pros in their 50s on Harry’s full English, who the previous week had lost 2-1 to an under 14 boys team. That gives you an idea of the standard Of women’s football.
  12. No we wouldn’t. Your utterly insane post was made on the 27/12. We’ve won 4 games since then, so your “two more wins” nonsense mean we’ve had 6 points less as we’s only have won 2. Or 4, so we’d be on 24 points, even if that win had come against Cardiff they’d still have 25 points so be one above us and remember we can’t win another game this season according to you. So we’d need 8 draws to get us to 32 points. So as was pointed out at the time your post of two more wins was and still is absolute ******. The fact you stand by it just proves you haven’t got an effing clue what you’re on about.
  13. I’d like to see Leeds, Sheffield united and Wednesday come up. Proper old school clubs with great home atmospheres, traditional grounds and good away followings. It’ll be Norwich plus either Leeds or sheff united though, whoever of those two doesn’t come up probably won’t make it up in the play offs. Reckon it’ll be West Brom or villa via play offs.

    David Prutton

He lives near me and often see him in the gym or walking to dog, nice fella. His son is about 8 and seen him wearing a Saints kit and goalkeepers top and fair bit. He rarely does a full rep when doing pull ups or dips. He's spends a lot of time doing HIIT sprints on the treadmill and often has #bantz with the personal trainers. When we signed him he was considered to be a great prospect but never really got anywhere near the potential.
  15. He certainly looked quick and direct when he dribbled round 4 West Brom players from the half way line to score last season. Maybe he wasn’t quick and direct but that’s wasn’t how sideways, possession at all cost, Pellegrino wanted him to play. There is definitely a player in there, but he also appears a bit of a bellend too, so let’s see if Hasenhuttl can and wants to work with him. If the can then he could save us a fortune.
  16. They aren’t identitying as Jews though, they don’t stand there citing the Torah during matches or refer to their top boy as a Their rabbi. They have adopted the Yid word for their supporters, it has nothing to do with religion. Should saints no longer be refereed to as Saints because saints has catholic connotations and if anyone said “saints c***” it would be offensive to the Catholic Church? Should we stop singing “oh when the saints go marching in” in case it offends catholic’s and or clubs might start singing songs negative songs back to us about catholic’s, or if it offends other religions who may have fans present st the game. You can’t have one rule for Tottenham and another for us.
  17. I don't really understand why people referring to themselves as Jews or Yids is an insult anyway. They tend to make very successful businessmen, are usually pretty smartly dressed, they bring their kid up well to be responsible for their own actions from the age of 13, non of this it's societies fault nonsense, they have fantastic memories, teaching their kids to read long passages from the Torah. There is much in the Jewish culture to admire, even the son of god is one of them. I certainly don't think it would be considered offensive to call someone a Jew that wasn't one, it's a compliment if anything.
  18. So bullshat then. It never rang true. Why would a Sunday times reporter want to remain anonymous? Why did no one get arrested despite it being reported? Why did no one else see or hear it? It reminded me of an article the sun did a few years back to expose racism at millwall. They sent a black reporter to the Den who ran an article claiming no one would sit near him, he heard millwall fans abuse Barry Hayles as he lay on the floor injured shouting “you f*cking animal” and of course he heard monkey noises but he also claims he heard a large group of fans chanting “seig heil” throughout the game. It turned out they were playing brighton and it was Brighton fans singing “seagulls” the abuse was actually towards a Brighton player who had injured Barry Hayles in bad tackle and surprise surprise no reports anywhere else of monkey noises. Even his claims no one sat near him were lies as there were photos released later of him sat next to other fans. They were forced to run an article admitting they’d got it wrong a fee eeeks later when it became obvious it was all bullsh1t
  19. He used to make the staff at the club call him sir or Mr Cortese. He wouldn’t let anyone walk in the corridor st the same time as him, the Cuban heeled, egotistical, dwarf knobhead.

    Bad referees

I genuinely do think that at some point in the future there will be a big exposure of corruption in English football. Week after week we see it where the big clubs get decision over the smaller clubs. Not just saints but all clubs consistently get decisions go against them when playing the so called big six. Ever since the comment made by the chairman of the premier league that the primer league needs Man united to qualify for the champions league I’ve thought things weren’t right. Perhaps refs are taking back handers but I definitely think they are under pressure to make sure the bigger clubs do as well as possible.
  21. I’m not really sure why there is a moral dilemma when we are owned by a bloke who failed the fit and proper person test, they then had to close a loophole so people like him couldn’t buy a club again. Still, don’t really have an issue with a gambling firms sponsoring us providing they are paying enough, some people will argue that people get addicted to gambling but if you’re going to do it name on the front of your teams shirt or not isn’t going to make much difference. In any case where do you draw the line? Should clubs stop selling beer in case there are any potential alcoholics there? Should they stop seeking burgers and pies because a high percentage of our fans are obese? (Yes they probably should to be fair to stop people stuffing their faces but they won’t) drunkenness and obesity ruin lives too but I don’t see any moral dilemma about selling alcohol and crap food.
  22. What version is that on pal? I’ve only got up to 2016 on iPad and there is no option to send players to train on their own for rehabiltion on that version. Is it a new feature?
  23. Perfect fit for our business model. Whilst we should be proud Paul Mitchell has gone onto champions leagues clubs and been linked with man united dorector of football job he Was a downgrade on his predecessor, is probably cheap and also some on what’s got to wear Kruger’s old suits. Replicating what we’ve done on the pitch off it. I’m still wondering what’s happening to Les Reeds replacement. Kruger said they’d spilt the role out as one person couldn’t replace les but 5 months on not a whisper.
  24. seeing as how our accounts say nothing has changed, still self sustainable and there will be no injection of funds is it fair to say that Kathrinas statement on selling that Gao would take us to the next level was at best misleading then?
  25. Totally agree, it’s a tricky. The matey, friendly copper thing doesn’t work. On estates they hate the police, they don’t trust them and talk of gaining their trust is naive, in some places even outside of major cities police won’t even go there. The problem is youth culture has thrived on kids being the bad man, not being disrespected. The truth is it’s never been that different, there have always been groups of bad boys, the difference is now whereas before you’d get a black eye or a bust nose, now you’ll get a blade in your stomach. The only answer is zero tolerance. Anyone suspected of carrying a knife can be searched, if caught arrested, they inforce section 60s by the dozen at football on a weekend with no outcry about human rights. But then does that work? Most people in prison are proud of their crimes, forget all this nonsense about no one in prison is guilty, everyone is and not only are they guilt of what they’ve done but plenty more they never got caught for and how lucky they were for getting away with the sentence they got! However that requires a lot more rescource and a lot more prison spaces which we don’t have. It 100% friendly coppers earning trust, education by minor celebs or former criminals telling everyone how bad it is wont work.
