  1. Quite. The average proffesional sportsman has between 6-10% body fat, the average man 18-24%, I'd guess the Average shirt wearing football fan runs at about 35%.
  2. First the pies, now this. The club is a shambles.
  3. TBF is not seen him play and was going on him being listed as the 85th best player in the world
  4. Love the transfer window when my global scouting reports from all players we are linked with, however obscure, can be aired to the wider forum audience.
  5. If there is one thing Isgrove, who has played all preseason isn't its a 'pacy wide man' where does that leave Tadic then? He's been playing in your right attack role all preseason. And we're going to pay £15m for a poacher and shunt them out to right attack are we?? Not sure who is slacking here pal.
  6. It's not a question of if he's good enough. It where does he fit in a 4-3-3. If we're going to play with two wingers then we need a striker who can hold the ball up, Hernandez is a good finisher but does most of his work 12 yards from goal, he's not the player to play as a centre forward type. If we're going to play 2 up top then it would work, if its just one then I can't see where he fits other than as a sub and he won't come here to do that and we won't spend £15m for that.
  7. The big family thing is just an added bonus
  8. 'Dorkish' called this one a couple of years ago. Some of our know it alls said I was talking bol+cks though http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?39192-James-Ward-Prowse#.U93xdX-9KSM
  9. If it were one of them it would have ended with my necking Peroni with the Lazio owners whilst 3 fit Italian girls joined in the singing of the if I had the wings of a sparrow song.
  10. I've actually seen schelotto play. I was visiting Rome earlier this year and went to see Lazio v Parma in the Italian cup. Lazio won 2-1 but Schelotto was excellent. Played in a wide attacking role, always a threat going forward, quick and strong, he put 4 chances on a plate for Casanno who squandered them all!! he's great at crosses, can cut inside or go outside with good pace. He reminded me very much of Neil Heaney when he first joined. He also comes from a big family so he'd love the southampton way and family club feel to us, with a decent striker to put balls into such as Pelle. I think we could Be signing a real star.
  11. the daily updates from that lunatic fan we had also called javi.
  12. For starters, Ammar Jemal. Tunisian centre half we nearly signed in our championship season. The deal feel through at the last minute and he flew home. Has only played 13 time since 2011/2012 season and is currently on loan at Al Fateh in Saudia Arabia where he has only played 3 times. From 2001 Matt Piper. We were close to signing him from Leicester for around £3m but the player chose Sunderland instead. Shortly after joining he suffered a number of injuries and only played 24 times in 4 years. He was later diagnosed with a rare knee condition and retired In 2007 having only made a career total of 48 appearances in 7 years. Sad for the player but a lucky escape for saints.
  13. West ham at home, Sunderland at home, Norwich away, WBA we needed a last minute pen. Only one goal from open play on those from four very winnable games As I said when it worked we wer excellent, but either it worked or it didn't.
  14. I said this at the time and I stand by it. Poch is clearly a decent manager who the players loved playing for. I his methods will work equally as well on seasoned professionals at a big club on big money as they did on starry eyed players just out of the championship time will tell. Tactically he had one way of playing and either it worked or it didn't. When it did work we were fantastic to watch but at other times, especially early in the season we struggled to break teams down. He also rarely influenced a game by his substitutions or tactical changes, if we conceded first we rarely won. His substitutions were usually like for like using the same core group of players. Good man manager, undoubtedly, if your face fit. Good coach, certainly. Tactically excellent, I'm not so sure. I think he'll be another one of those managers who is a good manager but not a great one. I think he's gone to spurs to put himself in the shop window for a bigger job like he did with us. I'm not convinced that's how it'll pan out though.
  15. Well said. It makes me laugh that the some of players are whinging that there was no communication from the club over the summer. Some were on World Cup duty and should have been concentrating on that, the others were on holiday. I don't know about you but if I was on holiday I wouldn't want my boss ringing up every five minutes to tell me the latest gossip and going on. The only two that might have cause for complaint are cork and Fonte as they'd be waiting to hear about their contract situation, but even then they have a year left and surely they'd understand that the priority was to sort out the management situation and let them enjoy their break, that can be sorted out on their return. As for complaining about getting a contract offer in writing, isnt this totally normal? Who had ever heard people commiting to nothing more than a verbal agreement? It's absolutely pathetic.
  16. Its funny how certain posters on the one hand are lauding Blackmore as a rellable source of information, yet dismissing that many Of the negative stories came from Cortese, when Blackmore was one the three journalists who claimed he was the origin. Just another day in mongboard land.
  17. Remember when mercedes were unveiled as being our official car sponsor or something meaningless and its was hailed as great news by some on here
  18. I don't bother posting my snippets on here anymore. Far too many idiots quick to jump on you desperately hoping you're wrong or what you say doesn't happen.
  19. We're great directors aren't we Les, let's give ourselves a well earnt round of applause.
  20. Considering Chelsea's interest was all over the media for a year or so before he left its hardly a ringing endorsement of your ITKness that your source said they were interested in him.
  21. Does it? If you hadn't pointed it out i genuinely would have had no idea.
  22. Exactly this. the deal makes perfect sense to me. They must thing Targett is a season or two away from being ready for the first team. So get a proven premier league player in on loan as stop gap to let Targett develop in his own time and come through when he's ready rather than throw him in now or sign an expensive left back on a 3-4 year deal. Makes perfect sense to me. Excellent business and long term thinking, which is what you'd expect from the club.
  23. Yes garret. If there is one thing we've learnt from international tournaments for the last 20 years it's to avoid those foreigners and stick with the English lads.
  24. Signs Cheques to the left, pays bills on the right Gareth Rogers Makes Peter Kenyon look sh*te
  25. It's the 2 Unlimited No Limits version, with the handmovements, like what City did for the Toures FFS.
