  1. We will retain the net spend trophy again Targett is getting rave reviews at Fulham so will be perfect for us in the championship next season, When we sell Bertrand for £25m next season and don't need to buy a replacement Reed is going well at Norwich so when we sell Lemina we will have a ready made replacement for him too With the above 2 and 3 we are guaranteed the Net spend trophy next year too. When we go down most of the knobhead, premier league fans we've got will disappear
  2. You've got to admire Les Reeds planning here. What a tremendous strategy to loan out Targett & Reed to championship clubs in preparation for next season when we are in that division and we sell Bertrand & Lemina for a combined fee of £60m. We'll have two ready made, championship ready players to step into replace them who are already proven at that level, thus saving the club transfer fees in replacing them. After dominating the net spend trophy in the Premier league I really thought Les might have his work cut out to try and go onto the next level of ruling the championship but it seems like he is nailed on to win the trophy in his debut season back there. If we can just find a buyer for Carillo (unlikely) Then that's another few quid in the bank with Gallagher ready to step in there too. He really does have it all worked out. What a guy.

    Ralph Krueger

What is a joke is that Les Reed is pretty much the most senior full time employee at the club these days. Initially brought in as head of football development he's been promoted so many times and others above him left he's pretty much running the show. Kruger dodged the question of accountability when Adam Blackmore asked it. He was directly asked who is responsible fro making the decisions and who are they accountable to if and when they go wrong. That's another issue, it seems we've got a small group of people making all the decisions but no one to answer to when they get them wrong. I've supported Les Reed but he really should be hauled over the coals for the last 18 months. 3 shocking transfer windows, a terrible managerial appointment following the balls up with Tuchel, then overseeing a decline from 8th to near on certainties for relegation and to cap it all failure to act to rectifying the situation. Getting rid of cortese we was the right thing to do, not replacing him was a massive failure. It'd led to No leadership, no accountability and a head in the sand arrogance from those making the decisions inside st Marys.
  4. Big Ron Atkinson. He'd get the best out of Redmond, Bertand, Lemina and co.
  5. I remember the days when you used to bang on to everyone that we were on an unstoppable march to the champions league. That our players would all happily stay here turning down moves to bigger clubs for more money because they were happy at saints. You used to say top players would join us because they'd see southampton as a great place to leave and the schools in the area are second to none. What's changed Matty? You used to say anyone who disagreed with your delusions had "a Dell sized mentally" now you seem to agree with them. So they were right and yet again you were
  6. We struggle to score and constantly give away sloppy goals, if you cant get it right at those ends of the pitch it doesn't matter how good everything in between is, you will always struggle. GK - A shamles, McCarthy is competent but his competence only highlights how poor Forster has been for over a year Full Backs - Both decent enough although Bertrand wants out Centre Backs - Hoedt is decent enough but should not be our senior Centre back. Then we have Stephens who cannot defend, Yoshida who is okay, Bednerak which is just an odd signing and the unfortunate Gardos. Those 5 are the very definition of stock piling of averageness. Midfield - Pretty much of muchness with Lemina the only real player of any quality at the moment Strikers - Austin never fit, Long never scores, Gabbiadini never plays, Carillio too early to say but early signs not overly promising. then there is the manager, less said about him the better. And our DOF, an obese pensioner whose achievements on Wiki include buying Chris Smalling for nothing and selling him for £10m and writing a coach book which you can now buy for one whole penny on Amazon. Enough said And our chairman, a cliché ridden buffon who as well as presiding over a rapid decline on the pitch has also failed to deliver the 5 pledges on time, which were literally on his desk only 5 weeks ago.
  7. I remember him as a player, I think he was signed by Souness from Stoke and one of many players we signed in the 90s who when you saw their debut it soon became apparent they wouldn't make many more appearances. He only played a handful of times and was loaned out fair bit. He done a great job where he is with a small club made up of largely failed a academy players from lower tier clubs, its one thing managing them quite another dealing with the egos of millionaire premier league players and expectations of deluded fanbases. Our fans weren't happy with Puel or Pellegrino yet they have immensely superior CVs both as players and managers to what Graham Potter has. And of course the other reason he's a million miles away from ever becoming our manager is he's currently employed so wont be on Les's current list of next managers.
  8. Yeah great, the we could all sing a much faster, sh*tter version of the scousers racist & patronising Mo Salah song.
  9. 4 lack of accountability - who is reed answerable to? Who are the decisions committee answerable to? Kruger was asked thus in his last interview with Blackmore and he wouldn’t or couldn’t answer the question. There are a few people earning a good wedge out of the club able to make decisions and not be held accountable when they go wrong, like pretty much every one has for the last two years.
  10. The only reason I can think as to why he hasn’t been fired having the boards support is that les sees this as the perfect opportunity to finally shake off his tag as the worst manager of all time. If he keeps Pellegrino long enough eventually his win percentage will drop below his own, the minute this happens Les will immediately fire him, this handing the title over to Pellegrino. This opportunity rarely happens so you can hardly blame Les for wanting to take advantage of it whilst he’s in control of his own destiny.
  11. Foam hands face paints and fancy dress goes without saying. Id rather be in a crowd of 3,000 decent lads than one of 30,000 all acting like c*cks.
  12. I’d make an excellent fan on the board. I’d ban the sale and consumption of all food inside the stadium - drink is allowed Ban blokes bringing their birds In fact I’d Ban women Ban the use of iPads, phones or any other device Ban the banter mars bar on his head types All songs sung had to be preapproved by the board, anyone singing sh*te will be banned Everyone would have to pass a style test before they enter the stadium - no sh*t trainers or shoes, no ill fitting jeans, no shirts over hoodies, you get the idea - immediate bans for anyone who doesn’t meet the criteria No one with over 24% body fat (which is the top end of average for those that don’t know)
  13. Absolutely pathetic second half. It was like a preseason friendly. Slow paced, no one really doing much. It was limp and lifeless and gutless. You wouldn't think we were in a relegation battle, we didn't even make it difficult for them, absolutely pathetic.
  14. Knowing the when to use loses and looses in a sentence is also symptomatic of the average IQ of a football fan.
  15. That story is true,I think it was when Wotte and Portlevet were here, a cried like a little girl. Also true is the story about how he screamed down the phone at Les Reed that he'd never play for us again if we didn't let him leave. I posted that at the time and was given all sorts of abuse for it. He's a proper little ****, snivelling, horrible, whiny little Bellend.
  16. They are all great guys who loved the club and gave their all when they were here. They all wanted to stay but were forced out against their will by bubbling Les and Kats and mr Goas desperate desire to cash in to line their own pockets. Virgil even went on strike so he could stay but he was still sold off. They will want to put in a big performance to prove we were wrong to make them leave so expect they all to play well. I for one will give them a big round of applause to appreciate what the did for us. And when that useless clown Stephens finally wins a header inside his own box he’ll get an ironic cheer as well.
  17. If I could buy him one thing that might help him in his career be it carrying on at saints or in a new role when they finally put him And is out of his misery I would buy him this, it’s worth every penny https://www.amazon.co.uk/Official-Guide-Basic-Team-Coaching/dp/0340816007
  18. one of the excuses given for not spending more or even as much as we get is that we factor in wages to the cost of the transfer. What they fail to mention is that when a player is sold they also go off the wage bill. Yes we might have signed a few players on reasonable wages but we've also sold most of our big earners over the past few seasons. Then we have the ridiculous situation where we baulk at paying the going rate for proven premier league players but are happy to hand out contracts not far off £50k a week to players like Stephens and Targett who are simply not good enough to be first choice premier league players. Then there is Forester, handed an extension and a payrise only a year after having one. Our wage bill might have gone up over the last few seasons but it's because we're paying the poorer players more, not because we're bringing in better quality.

    “Plan B”

I think you all underestimate just how much effort went into getting the Carillo deal over the line. To spend a record transfer fee to beat off literally no competition for a reserve team striker from an average league takes some special level of negotiation. les has actually had to visit the hospital several times recently to have his hands sown back on after they were bitten off by Monaco reps in negotiations on this deal.
  20. Our last 4 record signings of the bench. We don't buy success we breed it.
  21. In fact what with our highest paid player who is has recently been rewarded with a new deal 12 months after signing the previous one and Long with one of the highest costs per goal ROI in premier league history we have a bench to be proud of.
  22. I think he was the one that said Guly had a clause in his contact that said if fit he had to play a minimum of 15 minutes every game.
  23. yet they all end up on the bench. This season we've had Boufal, Lemina and Gabbiadini on the bench at the same time, if Carillo and Promes can be as misused at this lot by the end of feb we could have a bench of 7 with 5 of them record signings. Surely no other club can boast that? #thesouthamptonway
  24. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Les Reid went to Moscow to buy a bride called Inga Instead he signed Quincy, who is a sh8t hot winger
  25. I know him too, he actually text me at the time about it saying he'd just seen him. He's not one to make things up.
