Is he a good director of football as well?
-
Cant you see the pattern? Lallana - screaming down the phone at Les Reed that he had to let him leave or he'd go on strike, never play for Saints again Posing for pictures signing a Liverpool shirt whilst on international duty, rumours of tapping up whilst on England duty. Lovren - Head is at Liverpool comment in the media Van Dijk - on strike, tapped up before contact between clubs What have they all got in common? The theme here is Liverpool. It's how they do business, let the player know they are interested, offer them the riches and the move then make the player force the move through themselves. This isn't absolving our board from any blame but this is the way they do things and it's at least the third time it's happened, I don't know about Clyne but that was a different situation anyway. Absolutely vile club. Yet all season we'll have it rammed down our throats how great they are, how wonderful the fans are, how every neutral in the country is behind them. Ps - Don't mention Heysel.

If someone else had made that comment you'd be infracting them for a pointless or sarcastic comment, or insulting another member As the biggest hysterical tart on here I think you should start practicing what you preach a bit more. I notice you never apologised to Tom after you had a go at him and he turned out to be correct, but then you don't apologise do you, because in your position of power as a mod you make the rules. Drunk on the power of being a moderator on an internet forum. Infraction incoming I guess as you don't like it when some abuses your position of authority.

You don't need stats to see that we were very vulnerable at the back from Feb onwards. Forget Van Dijk, he's one of the best in the country and we're lucky to have him, any team would miss him, the problem was Fonte wasn't replaced and the fact was we had two centre backs playing that would struggle to get a game in any other premier league team. People want Stephens and Yoshida to do well, which is fair enough but the reality was as a pair they were poor, individually with a stronger player alongside them they might work but together it was arguably the worst pairing in the premier league. However much people might like Yoshida he is no better than third choice and Stephens may well develop into a decent player but he's not there yet. We need one top 10 standard centre back in Van Dijk stays, two if he goes, which makes the signing of the Polish kid even more bizarre, we've got 3 back up centre backs already and one of them is a young promising player. Stock piling back up, one for the squad type players whilst not addressing the first team was what got us relegated before.

It think it was more your summer 2014 meltdown that people laughed at you for pal. Pointing and laughing.
-
No goals, boring football, uninspiring transfer activity and a diamond midfield. have i travelled back to the summer of 2016?
-
Do you seriously think he's good enough to be first choice centre back in a top 10 premier league team? How many other top half teams would he get into? He's a good guy, tries his best and is a decent squad member but seriously, on the one hand people moan about lack of ambition, not keeping our best players then there are those who think Yoshida is the answer.

you and MLG are a right pair.
-
Mongboards are unforgiving places fella, post at your peril.
-
Indeed, whst sort of club would let both their first choice centre backs go within a few months of each other.

Kat hasn't ever bankrolled any signings, we have always been "on our own" financially. The plan was always for us to be a self sustaining top half club, Cortese got carried away when Marcus died and made a mess of things before Kat had to bail us out but that's The only time she's dipped into her own funds. As for Kat bemoaning her drop in earnings, dear me, so she's lost £2.9 billion overnight has she

I know of a great formation which would accomdate them both How about a diamond with Austin and Gabbiadini up front, Tadic/Boufal behind?
-
So who is going to be the first to apologies to Tom?
-
You're wasting your time mate. I used to get a few snippets and post them on here. Every time I was lamblasted for having an agenda against the club or Cortese and trolling.

You forgot the one about that bumbling, incompetent fool Les Reed, who despite overseeing a rise from league one to a top 8 premier league finish four years in a row, European football and a major cup final, clearly doesnt have a clue what he is doing.
-
How do you work out our midfielders only scored 5-7 between them? Presumably the three strikers you refer to are long, Gabbiadini and Austin and I would agree with 30-35 being a reasonable return from them. In which case Redmond, Tadic, Boufal, Ward-Prowse, Claise, Hojberg, Davis and Romeu are the midfield you're expecting "12-15 goals" from Last seasons return Redmond 8 Tadic 3 Boufal 2 JWP 4 Claise 2 That's 19 right there, in a season where Boufal, Tadic and Davis contributed fewer goals than you'd expect them too yet still above you're "12-15 goals" target already and 3 times more than your "5-7 goal between them" claims.

We went on November for the weekend. It's a brilliant city, loads to see and do We stayed at the hotel romantica which despite its two stars was really nice, although we did upgrade to a suite which was a cracking room with a jacuzzi. Think it was about £700 for the weekend including flights and transfers. it was about 10 minutes from the Spanish steps which are a bit of a disappointment but the only one. The metro is good and cheap, worth taking to see Vatican City but we walked most places Had a bit of weird experience when we were walking to the coliseum a guy in a car pulled up asking for directions to the coliseum, which was right In front. He claimed to be visiting for a fashion show and was a big name in the industry, he then tried giving me the most hideous leather jacket you've ever seen to thank me for my help, naturally I declined and he drove off in a huff. All in all though a great city, food and wine as you'd expect it top notch, loads to see and do.

Oh dear, it seems Saints were scouting a player when they saw Pochettino. they weren't scouting him. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/revealed-how-scouting-philippe-coutinho-paved-the-way-for-mauricio-pochettinos-arrival-at-tottenham-a3240441.html

He must be brilliant having delivered Juanmi and oh, that's it.

Another amazing black box coincidence. We've got an Argie Manager who last managed in Spain and we're trying to sign an Argie who is playing in Spain. I also just read he was dubbed the new Sergio Aguero due to his determind playing style, I'd suggest more the Argentine Shane Long.

How as a parent do you ever come to terms with that? I've got a son a year younger than Bradley and even just reading some of the Facebook messages had me welling up. I supppse at least they have lots of pictures and memories of his brave, smiling face and the knowledge that whilst what he went through was horrific at least the short life he had was as good as it could have been. Let's just hope the family are not forgetten and they get the support they need.

Remind me of the games where, apart from being a ginger dwarf, he's come anywhere near to living up to his billing as the new Paul Scholes.
