Ahh, of course, silly me, when you said there was going to be an almighty scramble for tickets this season you obviously only meant the big games, i thought you were suggesting that it would be like it for every game, afterall, we only have 5.5k matchday tickets available to sell didn't you like to remind us constantly that we sold out for a game against Bolton in 2004?
-
But Aston Villas capacity is already there, they aren't claiming they need to spend £18m to expand for one that is only c90% at the moment.
-
So our stadium being c94% full on average suggests it's about the right size for us right now, no?
-
Not quite MLG. See this 'ere post, this one where you said and i quote "Will be some mighty scrambles for tickets next season!" CAn you explain why this has not been the case for any game this season with the exception of possibly Man U and SPurs? Most people accepted we'd probably be in a relegation struggle this season, didn't seem to be a factor in your post here though does it. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?39226-Final-season-ticket-holder-number

this is getting silly now Les. You have commented on EVERY thread i have posted on today about me, or in response to me yet you have me on ignore. How utterly embarassing can you get?!
-
You would have to say if we can keep most of our players then we would have an excellent championship side. Clyne, Shaw, lallana, Lambert, Cork, Schniderlin, Rodriguez would all be top championship players. Even Fonte and Yoshida as well as hopefully Billy Sharp coming back. You never know keep it together and come back up a better side. Ramirez will probably leave though and no Les i dont know this for a fact or can prove he can, you'd assume that a player of his ability would be snapped up if we went down.

Go back to your slough bedsit Bradley.
-
no amount of repeating yourself, no matter how many times is going to make you right.
-
but he quite clearly says that they aren't made up and come from a source which is checked. Hilarious Les telling people thier arguement is weak and trying to argue what journalists might do with someone who has worked at two national newspapers.
-
do be ridiculous. Lallana hasn't been injured as much as Jarvis so is worth well more than that. tajjuk told us this.
-
Yep, because asking people to justify why lallana is worth more than Jarvis is EXACTLY the same as saying Lallana is worth £15m. EXACTLY the same. You seem to be confusing yourself. On the one hand saying that when Jarvis was premier league player he was valued at £15m, yet when he wasn't his value dropped, yet earlier castigating me for using AOC as an example of a talented young none premier league player. So are we comparing like for like or not? £15m was the mongboard forums valuation, £15m was Jarvis premier league status valuation. You even said yourself Lallanas value would drop if we went down. It's not difficult is it, you provided the figures yourself. Their values are not disimilar.
-
Still on ignore yet still replying. Go on Les, keep going
-
Anti Saints agenda!!! They weren't sold out though were they. What's your point? I'm simply point out that exactly the same game attracted a bigger attendance when it was on a friday night and live on television and in a lower divison. We were promised attendances would go massively UP this season, it seems in this case they are actually going down.
-
This wasnt a factor in the predicted "mad scramble for tickets" only 4 months ago.

Nixon was a classic. He was stalked by many on here, his word was gospel. Except for example the week before the transfer window when he said that we didn't know which centre back we wanted and that it we weren't in a good position. Then he was clueless, how would he know what was going on at our club and who we were interested in? etc etc.
-
I will when MLG admits he was wrong.
-
Really? it's not intentional I'm still on ignore, he announces it regularly. Anyway, we've got on much better since i came off your list. We are not that disimilar you and I.
-
He was one. Franks Cousin was another and of course Wes Ender, with his "of course we need a 50k stadium now and can easily fill it, didn't they say man would never walk on the moon" logic.
-
Les has it in for me after i mugged him off about prisons on the lounge when he started bleating on about them based on stuff he'd read in the newspapers. Ever since then he's had it in for me and likes to try and score points. which is quite sad for a man who is clearly in his latter years, but then considering he hasn't developed a personality or sense of humour in that time should come as no surprise.
-
it does!!! Ive been looking around this morning and doing some research, i can trade in the car and whatever they give me on it i can use the equity as a deposit on a new finance agreement. I balleds up getting a Saab to be honest, looked at similar cars like A4's, 3 series etc and the Saab was much cheaper for the year and mileage, it's been a false economy though as i've probably spent more in repair bills than i would have for getting a more reliable brand and paying a bit more. It's what to get next that is now the question.......
-
I'm offended and have reported your post.
-
Yep, over and over again we were told how wrong we were. that we sold out every game easily and there were thousands of fans being turned away every week and thousands more who didn't bother trying as they knew games would be sold out. We were told endlessly how massive our catchment area was an how there were thousands of people in Cirencester, Truro, Trowbride and Lewes who would come to Southampton to see premier league football. We were told we needed a bigger stadium NOW and that there was going to be a made scramble for tickets week in week out. It doesn't seem to be quite working out how we were told it would.
-
How do you know Les? I thought you had me on ignore? WHy are you reading discussion i am involved in?
-
Once again you're struggling i see. I asked people to explain why Lallana is worth so much more than Jarvis, who cost £10.75m, you were at pains to stress all the reasons why Lallana is better and worth more. Then you say yourself that as a premier league player he was linked with moves for £15m, hang on a minute, *fag packet maths* 3 x £5m, oh that's right, it's £15m! So actaully as premier league players their values aren't that disimliar are they. Has it dropped yet? Or are you going to ramble on about being younger, called for england once, something about not being injured this season again?
-
and correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't this at a time when we had no investment or champions league ambtions?
